HopeandDreamG -- OMG, I hope it's not twins...I don't think I could handle that! But funny you say that because my husband joked last night about "our 4 boys"...and the nurse at RE office was silent when I asked "those are good numbers for a single pregnancy, right?". Then she just said "well, we will see tomorrow at the ultrasound, right?". I am sooo nervous....but I guess there's nothing I can do about it now. it is what it is!
Your having an ultra sound on a Saturday? I can't wait to hear!!! I guess going to an RE gave you some luck!!
HopeandDreamsG -- yes, RE brought me so much good luck! It was funny because I called them to say that I was suppose to call to schedule all the bloodwork for me and DH once AF arrived, but I got BFP instead! I keep calling him my good luck charm!
Ribbons -- don't worry! Actually you make me feel better that you had similar #s. According to what I've seen online boards, there is a lot of variation in the numbers...and when they did my ultrasound on O day, he only saw one corpus luteum. So, probably not twins -- we just have higher numbers...which hopefully means girls! :)
Well it for sure means sticky bean ;)
Well, this morning sickness is sure saying "sticky bean" to me LOL... ugh, can't wait for the end of the first trimester!
Awe ribbons that's terrible! Just keep reminding yourself it's a sticky bean ;)
Ilindgirl- thinking of you !
Thanks! We could only see the dark circular indication of the gestational sac. The Dr said he is 90% happy, but it's measuring a little smaller than he would have hoped and we couldn't see the yolk sac or stem pole. Might just be too early still...so we go back in 5 days for another beta blood test and ultrasound to hopefully see the yolk sac & stem pole. Then we are on vacation for a week, and hopefully after that we can see a heartbeat? I don't know why I am so nervous about this pregnancy....maybe it's just because of my awful FSH/AMH numbers this month. We are still in shock about this -- We had basically accepted our chances of ever conceiving were like 1% and 2 weeks later, we are pregnant? Stick baby....stick baby!! LOL
ILindGurl, I'm so glad you got to see your little bean! Very exciting.
ILindGurl, that little girl will be just fine! Girls are always a little petite so don't worry yourself at all. This pink bundle is going to be perfectly perfect!!!
ILindGurl -- congrats!
Today is cd2 for me. Here we go again. I pray for a bfp this month because I am not able to stay on the diet to try again in August/Sept/Oct. And then its the holidays. So if this is not the month for me, well then I don't know what will happen. I posted my attempt in the "review my attempts". Would love some feedback.
Well, I technically just saw a black blob...not a bean yet. But, I will take it as a positive step in the right direction! Something is officially attached - yay! My husband was all teary-eyed when the dr handed him the ultrasound photo (of a black blob)...I'm like "really?" and he says "well, he's my little guy!" UGH. He doesn't want any girls...LOL
Pray- I'm so sorry about the HT. This has to be it! I'm cd8 today and hoping this is my month FINALLY too!
Hi everyone! I'm on CD7...so excited! Has anyone experienced spotting that went on for a while after AF? I usually stop by day 5, but still have tiny spotting today.
So, I should probably ask -- how is it with 3 or more boys? Trying to prepare myself...we are pretty much convinced it's another boy since we didn't sway. I had loads of EWCM this month, and no symptoms of pregnancy (just like with my boys)...the only difference was they were conceived with 2x and 1x BD respectively. And this time we DTD everyday -- I think it's about 7 days in a row...also boy territory, I think. So, give it to me straight --- how is life with 3 boys? :)
ILindGurl , in one word, 3 or more boys is noisy.....lol...
they are great though, they all get along really well, play, fight, all that stuff.
and mine were all mummies boys too, super cuddly and smoochy, always keen to help out.
i seen a definition once, cracked me up, it said 'BOY'= noise with dirt on it!
dannikins could not have said it better. Boys are noisy!!!!! My drive me mental. They constantly fight. But they also play well together when they want to. And they are mommy's boys. They love to be with Daddy, but when they are tired, going to bed or hurt --they want their mommy.
Dtd 7 days in a row does not mean boys. Once would say that your one time bd swayed girl. But if he was releasing often prior to your 7 day bd they that is more girl than boy because its lowering his count.
The older dh gets, the more effective dtd daily lowers his count. Not sure your age though.
AF has finally arrived. Here we go again. I'm scared.
PLEASE DON'T BE A LONG CYCLE AND CONFUSING OVULATION TIME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!! #%*)@&%#@)%
Okay, that is all.
ILudGirl, my hubby thought this was boy 3 the whole time except at the U/S when the tech was measuring the femur and he saw nothing between the legs he got very white and whispered to me "it's a girl"...he knew we swayed girl, but actually getting a girl he thought wasn't going to happen!! To be honest, I think you sitll have a great chance at a girl, and the only reason my DH agreed to try for a 3rd was he thought we could make "nothing but boys" lol. I am excited to hear more news as the pregnancy progresses! I think it's just aweosme that you are pregnant with numbers that would make it very hard. This little bean, whoever they are, really wanted you to be their Momma!
And Krazy, I'm not sure about girls always being more petite. They are thinking this one is going to be 9 lbs. So much for a shrinking violet!
Suregena - I'm glad af finally arrived. I hope you have a more normal cycle this time and that you get your BFP! Baby dust to everyone!!
Hi Ladies,
I've been lurking on the boards for a while now, but haven't posted. We weren't going to try for a couple of months, but I've been having some issues with my cycle (lack of ovulation being the most concerning since we want to get pregnant), and after doing some cycle monitoring this month I can pretty much pin point when I will ovulate, so it's too good to miss ;)
So, we'll be BDing over the next three days (O tomorrow). My main concern is that I only just started the LE diet (10 days). The only other thing I am up for is the antihistamine... will that be enough? What do you guys think?
I think stay strong on the diet through o. That might be enough, you never know. It is not proven that you must be on the diet for 6 weeks -- that is just something someone made up as a base time line.
I think you should take the zyrtec and use rephresh -- especially since you are doing multiple attempts. Have you lowered your dh's sperm count at all?
If not then it is best to atleast have him release in the am and then attempt in the pm. If you want to really put an effort in, then have him release in the am and afternoon and then dtd in the pm.
Thanks for the tips prayforprincess!
I forgot to mention I am doing rephresh (once every 3 days). My PH from what I can tell (and I am not very good at testing this) is always pretty low - under 5. I took Benadryl last night, and will do so again.
DH hasn't done anything to lower sperm count, but that's a good thought. I'll have to see if he'll go for it though - he's not really into the whole swaying thing, so it's up to me.
My main concern is that with the wacky cycle I might have trouble getting pregnant. So while we're just starting to ttc, I also don't want to go for months on end. Last time we went 12 months trying before I got pregnant and then miscarried. Thankfully I got pregnant again quickly after that and with some help, got a beautiful baby boy out of it :) But now my cycle is waaaay worse than before.
Anyway... I guess I shouldn't be negative before I even give it a chance! It's nice to know that there's a community here that examines every little detail just like me LOL, it makes me feel less alone.
Night one (CD3) of soy last night. I slept so good, but have no idea if there is any correlation. So far, so good.
Onegirl -- if your cycles are wacky then you should just dtd every night. Studies show that dtd every night sways girl a tiny bit -- like 54% girls to 46% boys. Its pretty even though and it does kinds guarantee you getting pg quicker if there is a healthy egg. If you are doing other sway tactics, then that will help you sway further in the girl direction. It will also help your dh to lower his sperm count by dtd daily (without him really knowing he's doing it). Using the rephresh will help to keep your ph low.
It certainly will not put in you in boy territory. Have you tried using opk's to know when you are o'ing?
So excited! I got a Smiley on my digital ovulation test this AM! We will be doing our attempts today/tonight! YAY!!
Prayforprincess - multiple attempts was the plan, but I wasn't sure if that was good for the swaying :) Since this cycle I was monitored at the clinic, I know that I ovulated today, and we BD'ed the last two nights and will again tonight. I did use OPK's last time, and if there is no BFP this cycle, I will definitely be suing them next cycle. I am just soooo bad with temping *sigh*
NCBeachyGrl - good luck! I guess we'll both be in the 2ww soon :)
Suregena - hope your cycle stabilizes... I know how frustrating it is when it's all over the place :s
I wouldn't worry about mulitple attempts -- and it looks like you're already doing them
Good luck ncbeachygirl
I hope my cycle is a *little* shorter this month (if I don't get pregnanct this cycle). Hopefully, anyway.
I do seriously think I had a chemical. My period is *so* weird and clot-y (I never pass clots with my period anymore, not since I had my son or really since being in my mid 20s). Actually, I had three days of heavily clot filled bleeding, and then today it almost seemed like it was stopping which confused me, but then I felt cramping again while at work and when I got home... sure enough, some more clot-y looking stuff and more heavy flow?
*hmph*
Suregena, are you going to get results from the urine test from the doc? That should let you know if it was a chem or not...
Thanks girls!!!!
Suregena, that sucks. I am pretty sure I had a chemical when we were TTC the first time. My cycle was uberlong (though they are always a bit unpredictable), and my period was just weird, kind of like yours. But my dr never ran any tests, she just shrugged it off. We continued TTC and I got a BFP and had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, which made me wish I had asked some more questions about the possible chemical earlier, but by then it was too late anyway. Either way, it's tough, especially if it's just your gut, so try to find out as much as you can from your dr now. Maybe the urine test ribbons suggested will at least give you the answers you need.
The main thing is I had several faint "positives" on tests so it all got super, super confusing... and then they seemed to fade out... plus how this period is, it just makes me think so. We'll see.
Grrrr! Stupid, delicious peanut butter! I will behave tomorrow...
surgena -- based on what you described, it does sound like a chemical. I had 2 this year - the first one was confirmed at doctors office with blood test. Both times, I had a ton of pregnancy symptoms in the 2ww (breast hurt, cramping, metallic taste in my mouth, vivid dreams, etc). So, I tested the day AF was due and got very very faint positive hpt. The first time it was very very faint for 2 days, and then there was light bleeding..spotting really. The second time, the bleeding started late that evening...and by morning the hpt was negative. I'm so sorry. I didn't have any clotting with that period...but the month following I strangely had lots of clotting...so I think it took a cycle to all come out. Sorry for the tmi.
