Welcome kitkat - I really hope this is your month!!
We were going to skip this month, but we had our first "attempt" on the every 4 day plan yesterday (I was only CD5, so doesn't exactly count as an attempt!). I'm not temping or doing OPKs this month and I have to admit it's extremely freeing! I love taking the stress out of it!
Welcome back Kitkat. How is hubby? Good luck :)
fingers crossed for you bluebonnet :)
I have no idea if we will even make an attempt for this cycle. If we do make an attempt, O will be around the 5th-6th of August. Hopefully we can get Dh's blood test results some time over the weekend so we know what's going on (I hope).
I'm swaying in September! For a boy!
Hey Kitkat! Glad to see you again as we were in previous groups together. I've been on the diet since February and this will be my 4th attempt. I also took off several cycles (March, April, and July!) I hope August is our month! AF is due on Tuesday for me.
Hey lovely ladies thanks for the outstanding welcome!!
Hi bluebonnet good for you, opks and temping are a big pain!! I think the every four days takes the stress out....
Hi boysway hope you can attempt this month and you can find out what is going on.Hubby is back to full health thank goodness thanks for asking.
Hi Midwest!
Essence how was your trip??
Okay I have to get your ladies opinion as I am stressing big time!! I was doing every 4 days but it did not quite work out! so BD last Sunday night after six day abstain j and d got my pos opk on Tuesday and BD again that night - technically only one attempt in my fertile window but freaking out I blew it big time!!!
I am probably not even pregnant but feel like I just swayed blue!!
:tissue:
Thoughts??

Kitkat- I dont know hun..with my first daughter we BD everyday. With my 2nd daughter we BD once a week and I got pregnant obviously with a girl each time. I believe diet plays more into swaying then timing!
kitkat - atomic always suggests if you've been on the diet for 6 months to BD every 4 days and add an attempt at POS OPK. If my next couple of attempts don't work I will be doing exactly that. You did the right thing girl :)
Kitkat-- it takes 8-48 hours to O after a +opk so hopefully those sperm from Sunday will be all dead by the time your egg is released!
Thanks guys I wish I was not such a Martha!! It is what it is!! Xx

I'm spotting. It's either beginning of my period if my spotting on CD10 is anything to go by.
Or inplantation. Too soon to tell.

Dh and I finally got back to the Dr today. Thankfully it looks to be something as simple as low testosterone. Quite honestly, I wasn't surprised at all. Levels are meant to be 8.3-29 nmol/L. Dh's level is 6.4 nmol/L. Two options are hormone replacement therapy or viagra. I was leaning towards HRT as that would help long term as Dh has a lot of symptoms of low testosterone, of course including the main symptom which causes us to be unable to ttc. However, it doesn't look like it would be beneficial regarding fertility. Dh had a second bt today. If his levels are still under 8 then he qualifies for the HRT. Ah, what to do, what to do. I will try and read up some more so we can make more of an informed decision when we go back to the Dr.
Well I'm glad you know what the problem is Boysway and that it is treatable!
At least you know what the problem is could you consider Viagra in short term just whilst ttc and hrt for future ? Good luck! I'm sure you are researching right now x

kitkat, rofl when did you become psychic? Yes, I was thinking Viagra short term then HRT long term and yes, I am researching it right now. Lol, I could have just quoted your post ;)
I hope im psychic!! Then I would predict we all get dream genders!! Xx

Hope it's implantation and not AF Cherryblossom. Good luck!
Boysway-- glad you figured out the problem and that it's treatable. I know you want a boy and with us girl swayers we want our DH to have lower testosterone, so I'd think you'd want DH's to get up to normal levels before TTC or else you may end up with another girl. I think the Licorice Root capsules that some of us girl swayers have our DHs take are to lower testosterone. I also read that testosterone in men is highest in the morning so girl swayers should BD at night and boy swayers should BD in the morning. I would ask Atomic for advice, but my thinking is that the HRT would be best if you really want to up your chances of conceiving a boy.
Thanks for the advice essnce :) With the HRT, I was more worried it would have a negative effect on dh's sperm. I have sent a message to atomic. Just waiting for her reply :)
Lets hope its implantation cherry swirl 5dpo and nothing really for me Xx

Just thought I'd check in. I'm currently on CD29 and still no O :/ I'm going crazy. I've stopped taking OPKs because I think taking them twice daily was starting to stress me out & thus, prolonging ovulation. I do temp/chart, so I know I haven't O'd yet. I'm just dying over here. I went off birth control in January (like January 1st was CD1.... love how that worked out) and my cycles have been very long/irregular since then. I ordered some vitex online to help regulate my hormones. I asked about it and Atomic says they sway pink but honestly, I'm still going to take them. I talked to DH about it and he agrees: You can't get pregnant if you aren't ovulating. It's worth the risk, and like I've said a million times we are a-okay with a girl or a boy, so if we get a girl this time we'll do a hardcore blue sway next time. I just want a baby so bad, and I think vitex is my best option right now. Let's hope I O soon! Maybe I'll get a BFP this cycle and vitex potentially ruining my blue sway won't even be an issue...
GL jsophia, that's got to be so annoying ! I forget if this was suggested in other threads, but maybe also look into fertility acupuncture? It seems to help bring on ovulation for many women and definitely sways blue.
Well no bleeding today. Went brown. But I've had spotting a day before AF in the past so not getting my hopes up
Good luck jsophia beyond frustrating, ditto what blue bonnet said !! Xx

Hey girls, AF arrived two days early for me so CD1 I am! This will be my 4th attempt cycle. I still haven't started exercising, but plan to start asap tomorrow! I hope August is as great a month for BFPs as July has been!
Hi everyone! AF started a few days ago for me and I'm hopeful DH will agree to TTC this month but he still isn't 100% there. I've been following diet for the most part but exercise has been more like 4/7 but I've been so active with the boys (pushing one in his stroller at the zoo for hrs, running around at the beach for about an hr) that I hope it is OK. I'm not charting or using OPKs and feel more laid back about TTC then I ever have so I really hope that is swaying pink at least. Cherryblossom- I hope AF isn't on her way! Jsophia- I took vitex and maca root in the month before TTC our 1st and it did help my crazy long cycle and I got a boy. Unfortunately it made my cycle too hard to chart and unpredictable so I did drop it but I think it can't hurt to try!
Oh and I got pregnant with my first on CD41 so even though long cycles are a pain you can still normally get pregnant :)
Can I join you girls?
Have been swaying (girl) for 7 months and ttc 4 months. I'm on a ridiculously long cycle cd62 today! It's driving me crazy, should get the results of blood tests today or tomorrow, testing for thyroid and pcos. Got docs apt on weds in any case as she said if results come back normal we may go down the clomid route.
We have carried on bding every 4 days anyway in the vague hope.
If anyone has an idea how to get my cycle back on track it would be very much welcomed! :)
Forgot to add, had very sharp pains 4 days ago and been brown spotting ever since?? BFN's though
Hi lyagirl! What a pain!! Is this how your cycle has always been ? Were you on the pill before?
Junie - you might have said this already, but are you guys planning to DTD every 4 days? I do love the not tracking/charting.. it's really helping me this month.
lyagirl - how annoying! no advice, just sympathy. I'm guessing you've tried vitex already?
I am planning on doing every 4 days. Although I'm thinking I will do whenever I feel like up to CD9 or 10 and then every 4. We'll see how it goes.
Fingers crossed for good news Lyagirl :)
I hope August is another fantastic month for bfp's.
It looks like I won't be in for a chance in August. Dh's issue is even worse then before. Now there is no 'movement in the station'. The wonderful Atomic got back to me. She suggests dh starts the TRT as it takes a while for the TRT to negatively affect the sperm count. She also suggested Dh take the viagra at the same time and try to get pregnant as fast as possible. Now, to get DH and our Dr on board with this.
Sorry it looks like you'll have to sit out August Boysway. I'm glad Atomic got back to you and that you have a plan. Hopefully you can get both DH and the Dr to agree. Did the doctor only want to do one or the other? Not TRT and viagra?
Sorry to hear things are even worse boysway, but it is good that you have a plan. Do they know what is causing DHs issues?
Great advice from atomic as per!! Boysway beyond frustrating for you though....X

Thanks ladies :)
Essence, the Dr talked about both but I don't think he meant at the same time.
Kit Kat, spot on.
Mumofsix, dh's testosterone level is 6.4 nmol/L. It should be between 8.3-29. He had a second bt the other day. If the level is still under 8 then dh qualifies for testosterone replacement therapy.
I guess I will give myself a month off the preseed and wheatgrass tablets.
boysway - I'm so happy you at least have answers and a plan to move forward. I hope hrt helps!
