Congrats Yogi! Wishing you a quick recovery!! :)
And thank you all for your supportive comments. I'm sorry I was such a Debbie Downer the other day -- I really had fallen into a rough place between my husband and just the overall stress of these "end of days" times.
I had a followup appointment (since I'm *technically* high risk not having a thyroid, having some early concerns with gestational diabetes -- which has actually been shown not to be a thing whatsoever by NSTs, amniotic fluid, random blood sugar tests, and baby's size and movement) since they aren't super comfortable with me going past my due date. We set a foley bulb placement for the 13th (or a possible induction if I'm too dilated for the bulb) and will hope to go into spontaneous labor before then.
Doc was "impressed" by my cervix, lolol. She said I'm a full 3, 80% effaced and baby is a definite 0 station. She full on said, "You're what we dream of for inductions because your cervix is so ripe and ready, especially for a FTM. We could do it tomorrow!!" annnd, as tempted as I am to almost go, "You know what? I'm done. Fine," I'd still like those few extra days to see if this kid will come on her own!
I feel a little less stressed just sort of having a firm "end" to this, and I hate to admit it, but impressing even the doctor (since the midwives were all already aghast at me still being pregnant since baby's been so low) with my "readiness" has helped me feel better too -- so hopefully they're all right and baby comes on her own soon, or at least induction doesn't turn into the nightmare I consider it.
Did anyone else notice this, though? I woke up today (exactly 40w today) and my bump was NOTICEABLY smaller. I know I had been measuring a few inches behind fundally for awhile, and my best friend commented on me looking smaller yesterday... but I actually made a sound out loud when I walked by the mirror today, and when my husband came in, he also commented. I'm wondering if baby's even LOWER...? Is it possible for baby to be in the + stations and not be in labor, haha? I also wonder if, despite my amniotic fluid being totally fine yesterday, if I'm losing some and she really is about to come? I've certainly been peeing enough for me to think that!
So glad you're in a better place TP! I know those rough days, we all have them. And the end of pregnancy is the worst for sure. It brings out all sorts of feels.
I don't know much about going into + stations, but looking smaller is a great sign! And that fact that you're 3cm and 80% would be a great sign too!! I would guess that she'll come on her own - I was a 3 and 100% the day I went into labor. Yours sound promising!
Plus, like you said, it sounds like if she doesn't come on her own you'll need minimal induction to just give her that extra push to come out.
I can't wait for her to get here![emoji177]
Just jumping in to try and catch up a bit, which isn't gonna happen...lol
Just want to say congrats to everyone who had their precious little ones!
Taytum, congrats on your little man and a quick fast birth!
Boyz...congrats on your beautiful little girl and your successful VBAC!! Amazing. And to be honest, I remember the after pains being worse than labor for me, especially when nursing. Hopefully it will subside soon!!
Congrats Yogi on your beautiful little guy! So glad everything went well!!
Hopefully I didn't miss anyone else!!
I am getting anxious and excited, especially after seeing all the babes!!
I am 39+1, hoping to get things going ASAP!!
I am hoping for a second VBAC at home. I have a midwife and she doesn't do any cervical checks so its just wait and see!!
Hoping everyone else here is doing great, feeling great and gettting ready to meet their precious little ones!!!
Congrats yogi! What a handsome little man!!!

Boyz - seriously, babies just born have stomachs the size of a cherry! She doesn't need very much now, like only 10mL. And she's getting that from you! Your milk might not be in yet and that's fine, she's getting the good stuff! If you don't want to supplement then definitely don't! The more she feeds from you, the more stimulated you'll be and your milk will come in. Plus she might just want to be with mommy at night. [emoji4] It is tough though and I'll be honest we supplemented a bit in the hospital (mostly for my own sanity...breastfeeding is not my calling in life!), but since we left the hospital we've been exclusively breastfeeding. It's going as good as it can - like I said this isn't my calling in life so I'm pretty indifferent to it. I love providing for him, but I'm not comfortable nursing in public so either we don't go out or I have to find time to pump before I leave, and he went through a growth spurt where I SWEAR if he wasn't on my boob he was screaming. It was so hard, lots of tears from both of us. BUT, we've made it through and it's still a great experience! I hope you and baby girl get to have the experience you want to!! Some women love it and I definitely admire them!! [emoji4][emoji177] (Sorry for the novel!)
Taytum. Thanks for ur experience. I personally love breast feeding but not in public as well. I haven't thought about what i m goinh to do when i go out. But for now i love snuggling with her and her attached to my boobs makes me overwhelmed with love.
I did nt bf my ds2 coz of section n its recovery. I Regret it now.

Boyz - congrats
Please don't supplement. Baby's belly is the size of a small marble. That's why she feeds so often. If you supplement it has the potential to REDUCE your supply. Which is the last thing you want. By tomorrow or Saturday your proper milk will come in and there'll be more than she can drink. If you really really want to succeed with exclusive BFing then don't give ANYTHING else till 6 weeks xxxxxx
I definitely love it when we're at home and I read and talk to him while he's eating but public gives me anxiety and the days he's cluster feeding and my nipples are sore and I can't leave the house are hard. But, you're right, spending that time with him is invaluable! I wouldn't trade it for anything! [emoji170]
I'm glad you'll get to experience it all with your princess!!
Give it time boyz ur milk will come. Remember for first 3 days the milk is actually not milk but fat and goodness rich clostrum baby needs that for immunity as well.
U can use a manual pump inbetween feeds to try to encourage more flow.
Plus try some lactation cookies or teas they might help

I am not a public BF fan either and for such ocassions its always good to keep a store of expressed breast milk and it also encourages milk production.
Everytime baby nurses i tend to leak from the opposite breast so to help that i manually pump the other side and store for later use or at night so my boobs can get a break

I've breastfed 5 babies and I still don't feel comfortable nursing in public. I much prefer going to a family bathroom or sitting out in the car. It's just whatever you're comfortable with.
Mommy to 5 with number 6 due in June!!
Good to know I'm not alone with NIP! My kid is a tank so I swear he thinks whenever he wakes up, whether it was a 2 min nap or 2hr he wants to nurse. I'm scared to even meet friends for lunch without a bottle of BM ready to go!
Good idea bluebooties, but I always let him nurse from both sides of he wants to. So I'm scared to pump from the other side for fear of draining it while he's still hungry. That makes pumping tricky I feel like. I try to do it after he eats, while he's hanging out. I hate pumping so I'm glad I only need it every once in a while and I have some time to build a freezer stash for work!
Thank you everyone!
I agree throwaway with the belly looking smaller. I totally agree that the decent of babies can make your belly look smaller. I felt that on my last pregnant day. I hope your labor starts on its own soon.
oMG ladies I am still hospitalized for y csection and we just experienced an earthquake :( what a way to make a new mom more paranoid 😭

ThreeLittleStars updated the Mar/Apr/May due date group saying that she had her twin boys at 37 weeks exactly on May 9th, she is going well as far as I know. And I havent heard anything from Boysboys, not sure if she has been on the forums for quite a few months now.
Congrats Bee!
My little Charlotte was born yesterday (June 10th) at 5:29pm. I did have to be induced for high blood pressure, but we made it to 37 weeks 5 days so that's great.

congratulations mommymachine, what a beautiful name xx cant wait to see a pic of your little beauty :)
Had baby Lily at 40w1d (the day after my post about the acupuncture!) 😊 31", but 6 lb 10z -- guess all those early labor signs didn't mean early labor because she needed to pack on some weight!
Still recovering at hospital, but in love. You were all so, so right ♡ She was a champ, too -- 9/9 on both Apgars, has a good strong latch on one breast, was eyes open and climbing up my chest from birth! I also surpassed my expectations and labored 22 hours for a natural, vaginal birth with minimal tearing... despite the really unfortunate timing of baby dropping low enough to push when I was only 5cm!
I have quite the appreciation for all you mamas who have done this multiple times!
