Lola: I am going out tomorrow....time to get the Netti. The ballet will just be DH and I. We thought about taking the older ones, too, next year. We are trying to decide if we are going to go with the Atlanta ballet or the Duluth ballet. The Duluth one is half the price and has great reviews. Any advice? I can not believe your daughters are going to be in the Nutcracker!!! What could be better than that?
TTC5: I have no idea about all the + OPKs?!?! Twins? Faulty OPKs? I hope your doc can give you an answer.
Thanks for answering too! I should have actually directed that at everyone because most of us have oldests that are up there in age for baby assistance!
And thanks for the encouragement....I do believe it will happen also. I just have my shaky days when I get despondent about it. xxoo
THIS is exactly why girls are awesome and why I love having daughters. My girls are best friends for life, and I love spending time with them myself. They would be so great with a baby, boy or girl. I am sure that poor kid would end up being the worst spoiled child on earth with having essentially 3 moms and then a dad who is the sappiest doter of a man ever. (See, this is why I want him to have his own baby so badly.)
Ahhhh those are the BEST! I know what you mean about getting used to the idea of a girl. I had to do the same with my #2 because everyone had me convinced it would be a boy (the ex's family mostly, because they wanted it to be a boy). I wouldn't say I had GD, but just had to rearrange my "thinking" so to speak. I am sure we all know exactly what I am talking about. Your baby sure is a cutie, Kris! All of them are! I love u/s!!!
Not a bad idea to get a blood draw and check.....I had 4 days of +opks the month I took a bunch of DHEA (and also conceived the last time). Atomic said maybe I ovulated twice, and I saw your post about that but haven't had time to read yet....but probably nothing to worry about. Are you having o pains anymore? You would not even have implantation yet, so they are still detecting LH in your system.
What a fun date night! Well, I can tell you this: the reason the Duluth Ballet is cheaper is because they are a civic company, meaning their dancers are all students (youth-high school at the oldest). The Atlanta Ballet is all professional, like my company is, meaning all of my dancers are paid, this is their job all day long...they were once students also, but now are expected to get on that stage and not ever mess up, LOL. MOST of the time, the professional shows are way, way better, because we have a bigger budget for production and, of course, our dancers are the cream of the crop. However, civic companies are important, and it is good to support them too, because I pick graduating student from civic companies to join our pro company. I'd say go for whichever you feel like! Hope you have a blast!!!
And yes, Netti it up, you will thank me.
HI Begonia! How are you doing? I miss you. xxoo
OK everyone, check this out: I used to be a size 6, went up to a 12 with the boy diet for about a year and 4 months, and now have been back to my old eating habits (AND a vegetarian for 4 days now, LOL) for only a month and am a size 8 now. LOVIN' IT!!!!!!! I am so excited about the vegetarian diet....our whole family is doing it.....I have this hope that it will turn our situation around and make my DH become a super sperm factory. I've been reading about how it can change so much in your body in "The China Study," which I highly recommend!
:bluesperm::bluesperm::bluesperm::bluesperm::blues perm::bluesperm::bluesperm:
Kris - oh I hear ya darlin, it never occurred to me I'd have one girl let alone 3! I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, you'll love it :) I've got a snuggler, they are the best!
B- Nothing to offer?! Love is enough :)
Bec - great timing, fx!!
Lola - FX for turning dh into a super sperm factory lol
Hey everyone, AF showed up yesterday afternoon, so I am on to round two. We won't attempt this cycle, because I screwed up the diet for the entire 2WW and DH wasn't good about taking his supps--I was completely sure I was pg! I felt pg and everything. Oh well. I am stuffing my face to make up for lost time!! Next attempt will be in December.
That's how I was with #3. I really held on to a shred of hope that my u/s was wrong and that she was secretly a boy. I hated telling people I was having a girl; I felt embarrassed, like I failed at making a "good" baby. Begonia, I know I probably don't seem like I should be giving advice on this, since I have a boy, but I have read a lot of your posts, and I COMPLETELY understand how you are feeling right now. A lot of what you say I could have written myself. I just wanted to tell you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am FINALLY starting to really enjoy my DD2 now that she is 19 months. I feel awful saying this, but for most of her first year, I really didn't enjoy her at all. :( I hate GD! I feel so guilty now for wasting all of her baby time wishing she were someone else. :(
Oh, well, it took me a few years to figure him out. But he gets up really early in the morning (he works at 7am) and while the rest of the house is asleep, he looks at naked ladies on the computer and has fun! I accidentally caught him a couple times, when I couldn't sleep, and got up a few minutes after him. Now that he knows I know, we talk about it freely. He would be mortified to know that I am telling you all this!!
Hobber - sorry about af, I want to say that 2wks isn't going to kill your sway but if I got a girl after that I would so be blaming myself.
My dh does the same thing, if he can't sleep him and his iPhone visit the bathroom lol I found out a similar way, I woke up and he was in the bathroom, concerned he was sick I went to check on him oops lol I feel the same about porn, as long as it's not under age (not here either) or really creepy like animals I really don't care, especially at 4 or 5 am.
TTC5 - yeah I'm FH too even without the belly, I chose to ignore Lola's comments about her skinny ass lol
FX you're having crazy pre-preg stuff :)
My big kids are so great with Honor! I was actually surprised b/c when Galen was born they didn't show a lot of interest in him. Maybe b/c we'd just had so many big life changes... Anyways, they adore Honor - talking to her, changing her, holding her. They are also a really big help around the house :D
Sorry about AF Hobber!
TTC5 are you going to call your dr tomorrow? Maybe you did O twice?? You're too early for an OPK to indicate pregnancy right? I know some gals get a positive from them a couple weeks after O.
Bec sounds like you guys had a nice time :)
Oh, those horny DHs! I wonder what it is like to be a man?
Yeah, I agree about the diet thing--it MAY not make a difference, but I would seriously kick myself if I made a girl this time because I had slacked the last two weeks!! I guess I will see how I feel in a few weeks at O time... I might go through the motions in case we decide to DTD at the last minute or something. But I have had 3 separate predictions from psychics that I would have an August baby girl, so I really doubt I will try this cycle anyway! (my EDD would be Aug 12).
Oh, and all you ladies complaining about weight...I am fat as a house, so gross, seriously... thankful it is winter weather here now so I can hide under lots of layers!!!
Lola, I am totally jealous of your weight loss!!!
TTC5, keep us posted on what the doctor says if you go. I am curious about what's going on.
I thought I got a - last night but my urine must have been too diluted before bed, today I am back to +'s still.
Hobber sorry to hear you got AF! And FWIW I totally appreciate your understanding. I am EXACTLY that way - I really hate having to say "it's a girl" when people ask. The fact that you (and Skrimpy) have boys doesn't in anyway exempt you (IMO at least) from having GD with your daughters. I think it will get easier for me for sure once she is here... when I think about holding her right after she's born I can't wait  But part of me is pretty sure this is going to persist in some form for a while after her birth; it didn't with DD2 bc I knew we'd have one more shot, but this is for sure my last baby I birth... we have talked a lot about adoption the past couple of weeks so IF we do a 4th that will be how he arrives.
Lola I owe you a PM :) I keep re-reading the last one you sent me so thank you. You're the best. Really. Glad the new veg lifestyle is suiting everyone well!
Jen just think though, one day you'll be back to your skinny self AND have a son to show for it :)
5, what on earth?!?! I mean I don't think you need to be worried but it definitely is quite odd. Did you get a chance to talk with anyone at the office who could even offer a potential explanation? FX Monday brings an answer.
They won't give advice over the phone where we live :(
BOOOO! If my OB and his nurse didn't already know I was pg I'd call them and pretend it was my problem. Obviously at this point they'd just wonder WTH I was doing POAS anymore!
LMAO!!!!
Ok so tonight is back to - LOL hardly a hint of a line!!!
Hobbers, so sorry about AF showing. Sucks :(
I noticed that you and TTC5 have been off the diet for the 2WW. I am still doing the diet and supps (all the ones I take apart from ural are fine safe all the time). I read somewhere that Atomic recommends staying on the diet especially during the 2WW as if you conceive a boy it helps it implant etc. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
