No there was only a Gestational Sac found measuring 4w 1d. Nothing else, no yolk or anything. Just a very very small looking sac.

At that early stage, they are measuring something the size of a grain of rice - they measure in mm. So, if at 5 weeks the baby should be 4mm, and at 6 weeks the baby should be 8mm, you have to take into account the fact that the little cursor on the ultrasound (they put a cursor at each end of the embryo to measure it) is a mm thick itself, which can make it up to 2mm off in either direction. Also, if the embryo isn't facing perfectly lengthwise, they could be taking a slight cross section, which woud be smaller than if they were able to measure perfectly from head to toe. Does that make sense? I hope it helps ease your fear..... I remember being such an emotional disaster for weeks thinking the baby wasn't growing and I was going to miscarry.
