Lenhu I have only had two emergencies! But I have heard from other mums that planned is so much calmer and you are more relaxed as you have not just had a 20hr labour! I had spinal epidural with both emergencies and found them fine but I was gagging for it. Will be a little weird going in cold turkey for the planned! Quite a few mums are having planned on here so hopefully we will hear about their experiences pretty soon! X

Lenhu: I will hopefully be able to tell you all about it soon!
I'm sure that it must be a better experience when it is scheduled and not an emergency.
My midwife invited us to visit the labour ward and theatre yesterday: it didn't look too bad actually and it removed some anxiety too.
Kitkat: glad you have an idea in when it will happen!
I have gone obsessed again and I am looking at all the scan pictures on the Internet to see if I can make of mine! Grrr let it go...let it go...lol

Kitkat, 2 emergencies? Having 1 was plenty for me, it even made me feel like having 1 child is all I need for the longest time. But than I have a guilt trip of seeing my daughter growing up alone and it makes me sad, so we tried again. And since we were at it, why not make it a good one and try for the opposite gender right? Lol. During labor I just had a regular epidural, so they just stick with that during surgery, just upped my pain kills is all thru the iv. But my doctor told me I'm having a spinal and that's just a 1 time shot and does not need an iv, so it should be more effective? Lavie I'm sooo excited!!! Can't wait to hear the news and see pictures!!!!!

La Vie I have been nubsessed again for the past few weeks, after finding another scan pic in my hosp files!!! It's driving me mad, and I still have over 10 weeks to go (plus I always go over !)

Just checking in! This baby is enjoying playing games with me ;) I don't really want him/her to come this early (I am 36+1 today), but, whew....it's been an interesting few days! I've had bloody show and lots of plug (newer blood was bloody show, but lost tons of old stuff too, gross I know!) I had about three hours of painful contractions last night that I thought for sure was the beginning of labor. But, no go. They fizzled out and I fell asleep. I've had plenty of signs of labor (no appetite, body clearing out, lots of prodromal labor stuff), but baby seems fine to hang out longer. I hope at least to next Monday, when I hit term.
And in awesome news...we got 8" of snow last night and our photographer came over this morning and did snow maternity/family shots! I was so excited. And even moreso because my mom was here to help with the kiddos and get them ready for the pics (which is quite a task when I have three of them under 5 and am slow moving already!) I am so excited to see how they turned out!
How's our other mamas hanging in? We are gonna have babies sooooooonnnn!!

Hospital appt too, I'm having another scan to check the size of a fibroid. Hoping its stayed the same so I can give birth in the same hospital I had my other babies in (it's changed to a midwifery led unit since my last birth) really don't want to go to the bigger hospital, hopfully baby is the right way round too :/
