Congratulations Gurly! If you have the energy, you should put a compliant in writing.
Atomic- do you worry about posting gender guesses in case it leads to termination? I stopped posting my guesses after seeing a few requests that made me feel uncomfortable. It's a sad truth, but I don't feel I can judge someone for their own personal decision to terminate based on gender or otherwise. Anyway, this thread is for sharing our pregnancy journey so Private message me if you prefer.
As for me, I got to hear baby's heartbeat :) love it. Was in the 160's like my daughter so feeling hopeful. And starting to feel a bit calmer when I consider another boy. Even looking at boy names and feeling good about it. Maybe it's because I am feeling more positive about my chances for a girl haha. Still a few more week till the anatomy scan. Feels so far away!
Had my 12 week scan this afternoon!! It was the senior sonographer and he kept saying he lol, and when i was concentrating on looking i am pretty sure the nub was a boy nub, but he kept moving it too fast for me to be sure.
Im not sure you can see the nub on the photos we got, but ill post it later and hopefully get some guesses :)
But honestly, i dont care either way, weve made it to 12 weeks without having to suffer an mc first, thats miracle enough for me ;)

I had a private 16 week scan and I am expecting my 3rd son too Shutterbug. Will have it confirmed Monday. I really thought it was a girl this time but I've come to terms with it. xxQuote:

I get to have an ultrasound at 17 weeks (October 31st) for cervical length (I've had a few LEEP procedures). Does anyone know if there is a chance I could see the baby or will it just be a quick cervical check? My clinic doesn't even guess on gender until at least 19.5 weeks, so I know they won't check for that, but I'm hoping to get a peek... I just need to confirm that this baby is indeed another boy so I can start shopping (and drowning my disappointment with adorable clothes). If I don't find out in two weeks I have to wait until I'm a little over 21 weeks before I get my next ultrasound and appointment. And I have to admit, I don't think I can wait that long!
I think it is pretty hard to see the cervix without seeing the baby :). They are gonna be side by side. Obviously they will focus on the cervix, but it would be a mean sonographer who wouldn't let you see your baby just a little.

Kitty - they usually show you the heartbeat at the very least! They may not show you more than that, it depends on whether the ygot a separate screen for parents to view, but they should show you the heart!
Hopeful - I think yours could go either way. Its straight, but has a slight angle to it! Be interesting to find out what you're having!
I am dying to know too, if only to take advantage of the sales!
Hope they do let you see baby. Bit mean if they don't.
First dr's appt tomorrow and I am do nervous. Don't know if I'll even be able to sleep tonight. The secretary said she wasn't sure if the dr would do a dating ultrasound but I don't see why he wouldn't. The billing department already told me that they he always does a 1st trimester dating ultrasound. I've just got my fingers crossed for a good nub shot!

Hi girls :). We are getting our 12 week scan done on Wednesday. Very excited!! So tempted to find out babies sex, or get a nub shot. But we never found out with the other two, and we always have loved the surprise. But we do want a little boy this time. So torn. Hubby says let's not do it. But I don't know. I don't want to be disappointed at the birth. Cos my initial feeling is that I might be having a boy this time, but then, I probably just think that cos we would love a boy.
So my dr's appointment went well. No ultrasound though, I guess their machine in the office I was at wasn't working so they had me schedule an appointment for an ultrasound for tomorrow. Tomorrow happens to be my birthday. I definitely know I am not going to be able to sleep tonight. I will be 13 weeks 4 days tomorrow and the office I am going to tomorrow has an amazing ultrasound machine so I am anxious to see a nub. Today is gonna be a long day and tonight is gonna be a long night. I scheduled my appointment for 10 am so basically we'll wake up, get the girls ready, and have to go because it's a 40 min drive. So unless I wake up at the crack of dawn tomorrow my morning it shouldn't really drag.

Haha Tiggerian! It's Tuesday morning. And thank you for the birthday wishes! 26 as of midnight central standard time! Less than 12 hours till my ultrasound!
So just left my ultrasound. I got some pictures but no nub shot. The tech was completely clueless, she looked pretty young and fresh out of school. When I mentioned nub she was like"Oh I heard about that. I would think a 3d-4d ultrasound would be better for that." She didn't like it very much when I said no, you need a 2d ultrasound for that. Baby is measuring a week ahead at 14 weeks 3 days instead of going off my last period. So I scheduled an appt for Sunday which would put me at 15 weeks 1 day for an elective. So we'll see this Sunday.
Aww happy birthday!! I replied on your nub post but couldn't make out what was what tbh so didn't actually guess. Crossing everything you hear blue. I have an elective booked for monday so take my blue dust and send me your pink haha xx

Hi girls :) well I had my scan done today, and the tech seemed to think that we may be lucky and have a little boy. We told her that we didn't really know if we wanted to know, but that we would like a nub shot to guess. She showed me between the legs, and there did seem to be a strong white line pointing out between them, but not knowing really what I was looking at I just stared at her blankly. She seemed to think it was pretty obvious :) I said I dunno!! so she became a bit more explicit and said that she thinks if she had to guess, that we might have a different gender this time!! yayayayay!!! lol!! trying not to get to exited atm. not even sure if we want to confirm it. We will def have to think about it, and i am not sure if we would want to tell anyone IRL what we would be having.
I put up some nub shots if anyone wants to have a go guessing?? I don't know if they are any good tho :( but let me know what you think from what is there. I will have to google the scull theory to

Bella I looked but I didn't see a nub. I did comment though from the skull I would say maybe boy. Since I had my ultrasound yesterday morning and didnt get a nub (I think the tech was trying to keep me from seeing during the ultrasound too) I have been looking at skulls like crazy.

Thanks tmba and Stella. I think we will find out this time. It has made me realize that we want this quite badly. I don't want to be dealing with disappointment when the baby is born. Better if we don't get what we want that we know now not later. Although we have never found out before. Something a bit different for us.
So I am 14 weeks 6 days today and I am going in for an elective ultrasound. The place we're going to starts at 15 weeks but said 1 day early should be fine. I know there is no nub but does anyone have a skull guess? I hate skull guesses but I'm desperate. LOL

The skull to me is boyish, it has that flat lift then almost a corner ( if you see what i mean) girl skulls seem to be more rounded like tennis balls.
But i could be wrong and the angle of the photo might be off. :)

Thanks guys! Charlee's is still a little to little I think to grasp the idea but probably will by the time little man is here. Madi wanted another baby sister. LOL! When we explained to her that now she will get to have have a baby sister and a baby brother she was like "Oh! I guess that's okay." LMFAO! #thingsfouryearoldssay haha
