And if I have another boy I've been debating on not telling until I'm prepared. Only very few know when our scan is. I think we will find out around the same time! My scan is July 22

Currently enjoying a large glass of coffee this morning! It's funny with my first child I wanted no caffeine and then after each slowly added caffeine and this time... momma NEEDS the coffee!

Mommy & Nacire-thanks for the kind words. Both of my brothers have a baby girl of course. My brother still hasn't responded & seeing as his wife has responded with sweet words, I know he knows. He's just annoying! It hurts my feelings that he didn't even have the decency to respond. He is an opinionated, confrontational person who speaks his mind such as "It's impossible to control gender, you just can't" lol. I'm not confrontational, but if I get the chance to shut them all down, I will say "You are wrong! Trivers-Willard Hypothesis in your face!!" Or at least I imagine how awesome it would be to say 🤣 I think he believes I already have my hands full with my 2 wild boys-good thing his opinion doesn't count! I'll see him on July 4th-wonder if he'll have any "words of wisdom." Sorry, rant over haha!!

Ok, I'm a complete idiot lol!! I just went on a long rant about my bro, then I went back to my messages & apparently he did respond a little later with "Congrats!!!" Oops! Any of you ladies here tried a VBAC? I wanted to try but asked my OB and he didn't want to hear me out, just flat refused to try it.

Kat-thanks [emoji173]That's sweet of your dad! I was hoping for the same! My dad is a dr & also very opinionated, so he feels it's a risk to my health at 38 and 3rd c-section, but people are having babies later in life all the time without issue. ...And you're right, it's probably b/c I'll always be his little girl (I'm the only girl). It's coming from a place of love, but I told him he'd better get excited b/c he's going to be "Pawpaw" to one more little blessing haha. He joked that he was going to go drink heavily...oh so funny (he thinks!). Hope your fam isn't talking about you behind your back, but if so, at least they aren't pestering you with their unwelcome opinions 🤣

Kat Ill be 12 weeks Monday and I didn't start feeling better until 10.5-11. Last couple days it's been back hoping this is just a couple bad days.
Countrymomma if you really want a Vbac it is totally possible I had all mine vaginal but my doc does them. I would search around for a dr who would if that's your hopes

CountryMommy-I will have another c-section, but I know that the hospital I'll deliver at is one of the few in my area that will support VBACs. It's a big university/teaching hospital. If you're willing to switch OBs, I'd search around OBs/hospitals that support this.

Ash - that's what I started to do. Spoke with one office that wants me to get all my records and have them sent to them. They said they would have to know what kind of cut was used for each c section. I'm going to work on getting it all together but ughh what a pain!

Lola - thanks! I wanted to try for one but hubby is against it because he's worried about risks. Just irritated me that my OB wouldn't even talk to me about risks or benefits. He was just straight to Nope!

CountryMommy-that is so frustrating that your OB wouldn't even hear you out!! Hope you find someone that will at least discuss this option with you to help you make an informed decision & determine what's best for you! DS1 was breech, DS2-I had placenta previa and this time, Fx there aren't any issues!!Although once you've had placenta previa, there's a chance of having it again.

Lola - Mine was due to the cord being wrapped and HR dropping too fast. I really like my OB so I hate he wouldn't listen. But I think I'll get another opinion and even if they think a VBAC is a bad call at least I will have a reason why.

Lola - I'm about 45min northwest of Columbus.

Country - I talked with my doc about it last time, but due to circumstances at the end of my pregnancy I had a repeat csection. My doc was all for letting me try. I won't even try now that I've had 2 csections - I think that makes it more risky. My 2nd csection was amazing and I hope my third will be the same. First was just hard since it wasn't planned and I labored for 12 hours before.

I will say the decision for a repeat was 100% my call, my doc was ready to try for vbac.

Kat - This would be my 3rd if I choose c section as well. I think that's why my OB was so fast to say no. Just would be nice to have him hear me out and give me a reason why. I go back on the 10th so maybe I'll ask him again. I was the same way. The first was terrible but second was a breeze.

Country - don't let me discourage you, it's definitely been done before. I think it's called a V2BAC. But, I think it's not as common as a regular VBAC. Since my last one was so good, I just haven't considered it. My doc doesn't recommend more than 3 csections, which we are done after this baby so that's fine. But, if you think you want more kids then definitely seek out a V2BAC!! And I know people that have had 4 csections so it can be done too depending on your situation. I asked my doc if she was nervous about doing a third on me and she flat out said no, not at all!

Kat - No discouragement at all! I wanted opinions from others. And we are done after this one! Lol DH said if I get the urge to want another we will just buy another cow ��

CountryMommy-DH is from outside of Columbus too-East I believe. Another opinion is always good!
Kat-I had an ideal c-section experience both times since they were both planned-I'm sure that makes it much better than being in labor for hours, then going in for one! My biggest fear is that I would feel pain-only felt pressure & it was exciting b/c it meant I was about to see baby!!!

CountryMommy-"buy another cow" love it 🤣I think that's a good idea to give your OB another chance to at least explain why he doesn't recommend it for you & give pro's & con's!
Kat-my OB doesn't recommend more than 3 c-sections as well. I'm also not considering any other options-just straight to c-section. I fear that I would be in labor for hours & just end up with an emergency c-section anyway, which I def want to avoid!!

Lola - That is part of my fear about trying a VBAC! I don't want to end up in an emergency situation.

CountryMommy-I also don't want to discourage you, but definitely something to think about! Even though a c-section is major surgery, a planned one is very controlled and most go well without issues. I know there are always exceptions. I already know what to expect, it just feels like the easier, safer option for me at this point.

CountryMommy I wanted to try for a vbac with ds2 as ds1 was also an emergency c-section. As you and Kat mentioned they were chalk and cheese! I couldn't believe how good I felt after ds2 I was ready to go home after 48 hours 😂😂 ds1 though after enduring labour first, now that wasa whole different kettle of fish! My ob was willing to let me try but only if bub was measuring up to 8 pound'ish. Well he was measuring 41 weeks at 37 weeks and my c-section was moved forward because of his size (was 9p8.75ou when delivered) so I had zero chance of vbac. Funnily enough (not in the humurous way) I got bumped back on my morning if c-section due to a failed vbac. I dont think my ob would even entertain the idea at all this time! I know my husband wouldn't. He would get so angry and upset any time I mentioned it with ds2 and couldn't understand why I wanted to. I guess its because after going thru an emergency cs with ds1he never wants to again? But he has no idea the struggle it has been to not experience natural child birth and the emotions you go through when reading about someones successful vbac or v2bac. I did countless hours of research on it and just wanted to try but it wasn't to be 😢 and because the town I'm in isn't huge then you're not exactly spoilt for choice ob wise.... (but I do love my ob!)

We told a couple friend of ours and the husband said "$100 on another boy" ugh! Everyone is expecting another boy...I pray so hard that I can surprise them! I do want a healthy baby more than anything, but I will feel like such a failure & such a joke if everyone is right. Last baby, last chance...hate to feel this way when I will obviously love my own little baby either way...it's just that everyone will rub it in if it doesn't go my way [emoji20]

Lola to be blunt 'f!*k em'!!! There is no failure in any way, shape or form bringing a new life into this world. Its a miracle and an absolute privelege regardless of gender. I'm 100% going to get the same comments and it makes me want to say to everyone I hope it's a boy (which isn't entirely untrue now) just to shut people up.

Sorry if that came across as abrupt I just get so angry and annoyed at people who think it's ok to make comments or jokes about gender of a baby that isn't even theirs 😠😠 it's enough dealing with your own gender desire or disappointment without having a barrage of unwelcome and downright stupid comments being tossed your way. Wish I could line all these people up and go on a slap-a-thon!!!! 🖐 I'm so glad pretty much no one knows I'm pregnant IRL.
