Thanks so much. It does make sense, I'll just take it as I'm 10dpo and stop fretting and worrying about bfn at what I thought was 12 DPO

Has everyone seen this stats spreadsheet? Very useful info! Remember to post your sway when you get a BFP and find out gender!

It's the one atomic was talking about when she told me to drop acidophilus for TTC girl. Soy iso has great stats!

Hi Averysmon - it was my first month blue swaying last month and AF arrived early for me too. O on CD19 and then AF CD29 - I took EPO too. All my early pregnancy symptoms have dissapeared and I am convinved AF will arrive tomorrow as having some strange tummy aches for last couple of days. Tested today (10DPO) and had a BFN :(
ltester - going to start charting too next cycle
x
Thanks Saralou! How many days early were you? I'm concerned if AF is this early again I won't have enough time to implant. My cycle was only 21 days for crying out loud. It's still early for you though, dear - you could still get your bfp :-) keeping my fingers crossed for you. If not this month then maybe next month will be our month since our bodies will have more time to adjust to swaying. And better chance of successful sway!
I still can't believe all the pre-pregnancy symptoms I had that were completely in my head. I am trying to figure out what kept us from getting our bfp because I wasn't early, I didn't do any douching, I thought we dtd at just the right time. Hmm. The only thing I wonder is with the FR, is 12 days in a row too much for the little swimmers to replenish? I need to do some research on that, but does anyone have any thoughts on that? My husband is 42 this month, and I know abstaining is not a good idea in that case. How often is too much?
I would have thought fr for 12 days may be a tad much. Pm atomic about it though.
Just something to think about though, even while not swaying someone who is in perfect condition bd-ing at the correct time for ov, with no frequency tactics still only has 25% chance of getting pregnant.
So if you do all the same things as this month in a perfect world it could take you 4 months to conceive. Add in any age/fertility/timing issues and that's why doctors say perfectly healthy people often take a year to get pregnant.
Add swaying and I guess it's longer.
BUT with the opk-ing and temping we do you would imagine catching the egg would be quicker, despite the sway factors.
How long have you been trying?
I definitely think too much FR can make it difficult to get a BFP. We DTD 16 days in a row this past month and got a BFN. I was surprised b/c I have never seen a BFN before...always got pregnant the first month. And I know we timed everything perfectly otherwise (I didn't J&D or use any antiH or anything). My husband was taking Licorice Root this month though so I'm sure that added to lowering the sperm count too.
Also, I know Thorz had been trying a few months doing super long FR (16 days as well) and then she cut it out this past month and got a BFP. So I'm definitely dropping it on our next attempt.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on here that Atomic didn't think that frequency swayed all that heavily anyway.
I'd be curious to see what other people thought about FR from their own experiences. Are a lot of ladies doing this? Maybe its why we're not getting more BFPs?? Who knows. But like Meeks said even with perfect conditions its only a 25% chance each month. So maybe I'm overreacting! I just really don't want to see another BFN!
We did FR this month (I'm assuming BFN as everyone on here thinks my chart showed no O - I'm assuming from too much weight loss..) but we only did 7-8 days of FR and DH almost died. It was seriously hard on him and getting in attempts was stressful because his body was just obviously not use to the frequency. I asked Atomic about this and if I remember correctly she said it "COULD" sway 6% max.. as apparently lower sperm count in males sways roughly 6% - but you don't know how it will effect your DH.. his sperm numbers might drop but not as much as someone who's considered "low" sperm count if that makes sense (I'm all just speculating on this) Needless to say next month we aren't doing any frequency as I want more than one attempt, refuse to do FR again as it was just too much and abstain worries me about birth defects so I'm over it... and 6% isn't much at all - I'm kind of canning swaying all together since it's totally screwed me up. I got pregnant first month with both my boys and it's been 2 months now with BFN. So frustrating
Last cycle was my first month off the BCP so not sure if this had something to do with it. Previous months (on BCP) my cycles were 31 days so I think I was 3 days early. My biggest concern was I only had a LP of 10 days. I've never tracked my cycles before so this shocked me a bit. I've got my fingers crossed for us next month :fx: AF still not here but tested negative again this morning (11dpo) so I think it's only a matter of time - perhaps me stressing about it has delayed it!! Or maybe I'm back to a 31 day cycle...
Grrr, so frustrating...I got pregnant with dd when on the pill so didn't even have to try so to speak. Plus I'm the healthiest I have ever been now (a stable weight, eating healthy, lots of sleep, little alcohol), you think it would be easy! Good luck ladies for next February and congrats to those with BFPs :) x
So I'm now either 12dpo according to opk or 14dpo according to fertility friend.
Pulled out the big guns today and tested with the Internet cheapie and my last FRER test.
Still BFN.... I'm starting to think all these symptoms are in my head and wondering why I'm just not getting pregnant.
I'm not trusting my temps either I'm worried I have a dud thermometer cause my temps till look good.
Wow there hold up. If you JUST came off birth control your cycle will be mucked up for a number of months, most likely, unless you are one of the very few that don't experience this. Also, you can't count how long your cycle is on BCP because they regulate your cycle, that's their job, and stop you from o-ing. LP of 10 days is just within the normal, but doctors like to see 12+ ideally. Give it a few months to regulate though after the pill. Soy iso helped lengthen mine last month.
We've really only tried for one month--with both my boys it was immediate, so I am just not used to seeing the bfn, you know? I've been on the diet for three months (now into the 4th) and it is partly a desire to start eating normally again that I just want to see the positive! With the negative, it concerned me mostly because we are 6 months post vasectomy reversal, and I was afraid it meant that the surgery was not successful. Yesterday, we did a little home fertility test, and he seemed to pass, so we'll see how this month goes. I am going to reduce the FR, though. For such a small percentage of swaying, I'd rather risk it and hope that the many other pieces to the puzzle make a bigger difference.
I agree, we have partially dropped frequency and are now using compressed fr but will be dropping that next month if we don't get a BFP.
I think it's more likely your body after BCP this his reversal that is the issue, given he passed the fertility test.
I conceived on the pill wi ds1 (accidentally) and first month off with ds2, so I was in the same boat as you when I started, I expected fast results and was shocked as the months went by. I totally understand the diet frustration! I'm over it but also just kind of numb now. I just do it robotically and try not to think about what I'm missing. Mind you this 2WW I cheated a few times so have had to crack down again hard before I got too far in the wrong direction.
Don't have much left to loose after 8 months on diet, so now I'm trying to stay the same weight.
FYI anyone obsessing over the 2WW this is my fave 'am I pregnant' POAS addict stalk page: http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/...-ovulation.php
Good Luck SaraLou :fx:
hey ladies good luck, i know it feels rubbish espechally if you're swaying pink and can't eat anything! Finally getting a bfp after 8 months of trying honestly made it all worthwhile (2 one hit wonders before). I was impatient too but it's quiet normal for it to take a few months one month you might ovulate too late another you might not ovulate at all (I know I didn't as ending up having some tests to check) try and keep relaxed (I know it's impossiable)
:hugs: and good luck to you all and a lill sprinkle of baby dust ;-0
Hi girls, I got my BFP! I had a fairly good feeling that I was pregnant this month, but I'm still in shock as this is only our second month trying and it usually takes us much longer.
I got a faint line yesterday on a Superdrug test, but when the test dried I couldn't see it anymore. I used a first response this morning and a line came up straight away.
I hope everyone still waiting get's their BFP's soon, good luck everyone! Meeks your chart looks brilliant this month.
Many congratulations Pangea!!! Hope you have a h&h 9 months :)

Yay congrats!! How many DPO were you when you saw the first line?
I was 9dpo yesterday, but I'm not 100% sure about it, I might have been 8dpo, my temps are a bit messed up because I had a drink the evening of CD15 so that could have been what made my temp rise rather than ovulation. I only got my positive opk that day and I don't normally ovulate until the day afterwards.
Congratulations, Pangea! That is great news.
Meeks, what a long haul! It must feel particularly long since the first two were so easy. Funny how when you are really trying, it can feel so much harder. It is good to have the reminder that it is a 1 in 4 chance, even when conditions are right.
We did FR with a cutoff last time, and if Atomic seems to think that timing doesn't really sway, I think we'll try for a shorter duration of frequency and not do any cutoff. When are you trying next?
I'm still apparently waiting on O! Grrr, CD22 here. I had EWCM this morning, and have had cramping the past 6 days bad. How long are the OPK's supposed to show a line for? I've had a medium dark line for over a week and it's still there this morning... for those of you that have O'd does a second line still show on your OPK's the rest of the month?
CONGRATS on the BFP Pangea!!!
OMG Pangea! YAY YAY YAY!
Congratulations Pangea :cheer: great news !!
Are you sure you didn't get pg last cycle? I took an opk just for the fun of it at 6 and 7 DPO and I had a medium line, then I got my BFP. So I have a lot of extra opk's so after reading your post I decided to check, and sure enough I still have a medium line on the OPK. I don't want to give you false hope. I'm just trying to help you figure this out. Sorry it's been rough.
Interesting, I've never heard that before. Last cycle I stopped my OPK's at CD15 because I ran out and we'd already made our attempt (we did abstain with 1 attempt). This month I've been using them since CD12 (DH is not happy since I'm buying all the first response ones.. like 50$ a box!!) and I've never seen a full on positive, but there has consistently been a medium dark line so I just keep waiting for that positive OPK but it's not coming. I think that's interesting it meant a BFP for you and although I have some signs, I did last month too and got BFN so at this point I'm just assuming anovulatory cycle = obvious BFN
Aaaaah well done! Congrats! Finally some hope/motivation this month!
I had a very, very faint line on an Internet cheapie today. Going to get more frer after buying the wrong kind by mistake. There wasn't much colour in my line so I'm skeptical. That's what happened when I had my chemicals too.
Also I had to adjust my temp with a calculator because ds1 woke a lot and I had to use my temp at 5am because that's the only one where I had 3hrs sleep prior. So not sure if my temp actually is 'Up' or not.
I'm so happy for you! How long swaying hon?
Do you have a pg test you can do to confirm you aren't? A lot of times anovulatory cycle can actually be late o.
Otherwise yes I did have days of almost positive for a few cycles, before my positive opk. My actual surge doesn't last long usually so I have to test 3 x a day and once with fmu despite that not being recommended. I usually get a + with fmu on opk's. I buy Internet cheapies though.
I'm only on CD23.. so I guess max 7 or 8 days past O if it happened. I will test if I end up missing my period, but if I didn't ovulate then I'm going to assume my period will be late? I've never had a late period before so we'll see. I will be shocked if this was actually an anovulatory cycle. The amount of cramping I've had for over a week now is insane. At first for the first few days it was ovary pain and now it's menstrual so I have no clue whats going on. I just want this cycle to come so I can move on!!!!
I only get 2 positive OPKs a month? Is that not normal? I do ovulate late and have short luteal phases. When I was preggers with my last 2 children I got positive results everyday of my luteal phase!
Congratulations Pangea!!
congrats pangea!!!
