Thanks kidandcat I shouldn't feel so sorry for myself. My SIL & BIL are dealing with their 2nd miscarriage in 3 cycles (no babies yet) after trying for nearly a year. So I feel guilty for being all "oh I want my 3rd healthy baby AND I want a particular gender..." I feel like a spoilt brat.

Yes PrimalMamma! I feel like I just can't have girls and all this will be for nothing! I feel like my m/c was my girl and I've got chance of ever having a DD.
It makes it hard to keep motivated to keep up with LE and I haven't exercised. 😞
Primalmamma - I think most of us have moments when we feel sorry for ourselves and when it feels like all this swaying is probably for nothing. I truly have moments like that and i must say I generally feel lower now than I usually did. My dh often ask me what's on my mind, he says I have become so "closed" and more quiet. Don't know if it's the diet that affects me or if it's the ttc and longing to be pregnant again. My friends and family ask me every now and then if anything has happened and it's so painful to have to tell them "no, but we are not stressing" with a smile. I don't know why but I fell I don't want them to know how emotionally hard this is. They all know we wanted to try again as soon as possible after the loss, so they are asking for a good reason but it is stressing to know that people are "waiting".
But I also have to add that while it feels hopeless at times, it is so motivating to read all the success stories here. It gives me some hope reading in that section of the forum :-)
girliedreamz - thats often the best sway, the one you dont know about yourself :) hopefully you will feel more relaxed not trying to look at lines every day
primalmamma - yes I think everyone has these moments. Totally know what you mean and you do see people worse off and think how can I be so selfish. And we are doing all of this stuff and it could be for nothing but that is the nature of swaying, an opposite is always possible. But then you have to think is another gorgeous boy such a bad thing? All we can do is our best and leave the rest to god. Just think if you did have a boy what a fantastic life god has planned for him because you prayed for a DD but god had other plans.
Marika - pretty much in the same boat, stupidly told friends when we would be trying because we constantly had questions, are you going to have another so for some close friends I said yes we will start trying in January - so now that its nearly june and some people are trying to be discrete about it but they are still asking - but then I give a blow by blow account of my cycles, hormones and blood tests which must be quite boring for them to hear but they asked!! haha... privately though I am like you, it is depressing not to be PG. Wish I could be more like a guy sometimes as they seem a lot more relaxed about it but they dont have to go through what we go through with our bodies.
kidandcatmommy - is there something else you can take for the headache that wont have the drying effect? Glad you enjoyed the meat, wow that is a long time not eating any meat at all, my DH wouldnt let me get away with that!!
OMG! It's midnight but just took a opk and it's so close to positive if not positive!!?! We're so not DTD tonight but looks like tomorrow will be attempt day! Wasn't expecting it til the weekend or next Monday so glad i started testing early. 😀
I also tested today even though its only CD11 and it was a negative line but if I follow the same pattern as last time, it may well turn positive within a week :)

steph - I notice that friends keep an eye on my glass when we are having dinner together. You know "is that wine or is she pregnant yet??".
So I try to just grab a bottle of wine at once and then no one needs to ask or wonder.
I am now 4 dpo and time is going so awfully slowly. It's torture. Can't believe how 4 days can feel like 4 weeks! Just wanna fast forward a week and have a test (even if I promised myself not to start too early this cycle).
Lol me too I just immediately pour myself an alcoholic drink so that I am not watched!! :)

Stephk I can take ibuprofen at least until I attempt. I've decided now that I'll probably take the Zyrtec through my period then stop until after we attempt. All the BFN's so far this month have frustrated me enough I'll just deal with the headaches.
I also know what you guys mean about the wine glasses. My husbands family watches mine and it's hard during the TWW trying to act as if I just don't want alcohol!
I'm soooooo tempted to also add in attempts next month like a bunch of attempts! Trying to fight the temptation.
I'm throwing this in here too (posted in the general ttc girl thread) because I'm so confused! I just tested on CD10 with an OPK and it was VERY positive. I mean, no chance it's not. I plan to test again when I get home (tested at work at 2:30 p.m. -- low fluid intake today). I'm thrown. I wasn't expected a pos opk until at least Thurs eve/Friday. I don't know if this is for real??? My shortest cycle ever was 26 days, but almost always 28.
What the heck!!! I don't want to BD too early or too late this go round. Bawwww!!!!

It's official! Positive opk this morning so tonight is the night! 😉 Never felt so nervous and I am also super scared of getting a BFP only to have another loss, but at the same time super excited that we can now attempt again.

These are the cheapo SurePredict tests I took today at 3:45am, 1:30pm, and 11:00pm. They are supposed to be more sensitive than FRER in that they detect hcg as low as 10miu, but the reviews are mixed with false positives and evaps LOL! I'm only 8 or 9 dpo and had about 10 tests so figured I'd use them up! My FRER that I took at 3:45am was BFN. What do you think? I'll take another tomorrow and only if the line is darker will I take another FRER. I hate wasting those!

I took another SurePredict test with second morning urine today and this time it was BFN. No shadow of a line or anything! So who knows what's up!
I'm either 9 or 10dpo today (I think 9, FF says 10). I refuse to waste another FRER so I'm saving it for tomorrow. I had a super faint BFP on 10dpo with DS2 so fingers crossed!

To all feeling generally fed up: thank goodness we have each other I have been on this diet so long I no longer know how to eat properly and like wise feel like I will have gone on and on and still end up with a boy which is sooooo not the end of the world but not the point to diet, one attempt blah blah!! Its hard to stay motivated is all!!

kitkat totally with you. The diet and exercise I can handle. I have also eradicated the stress of one attempt/every 4 days because I decided to just BD when we feel like it and then take a view of when the positive OPK happens (if it ever does lol). The pressure of counting days and having to BD got a bit too much.
The thing that gets me at the moment is that I feel that DH is trying to sabotage my sway, he knows I am trying to avoid conflict yet last week he was starting arguments about my diet, spending too much time in the gym, its my fault I am not PG etc etc..............then last night we BD because I am out tonight so if I get a positive OPK today I am covered. Then afterwards we were just chatting and I mentioned that I had to give my boss indicative holiday dates, so I said it would likely be the second week of september (we are trying to get another holiday in before DS turns 2 on 17 September). He said why not the first week. I said that our friend turns 40 on 4th and I would like to attend her do. Then he said where are we going to go and I said I have been looking at all options but given that I am hoping to be PG I dont want a really long flight. Then he said he wants to go to carribean and I said I have been looking at it but I think the flight will be too long and uncomfortable and he starts getting all sh1tty saying he wants to go there, I am shouting because its MY birthday on 8th plus I dont want to be too uncomfortable PG and on a plane and we argued about something as nice as going on holiday!! I was seething angry with him and told him he shouldnt be starting arguments and why cant he be a gentleman like other guys!!! ARGH he really bloody annoys me!! He really brings out the martha in me sometimes :(
Aw Steph you poor thing Men can be so insensitive at times They just don't have a clue what we go through. Keep taking deep breaths and try and stay calm (hard I know!!) Just go and book something with a short flight anyway and he'll just have to go there ha!!

My dh is such a sweet, supportive, kind, considerate guy... except when it comes to thinking about new babies. Lol! He turns into this conflict-creating, combative thing I've never seen before. Seriously, I just *mentioned* something offhand about how I'd love some female energy around me (as my 2 youngest boys were covering themselves with mud in the yard) , and he not only flew off the handle about girls versus boys, but he also sulked all afternoon about it in silence. Men! I really think it just stems from fear. He fears change, fears the responsibility of another child and all that goes with it. Not that it excuses the Neanderthal behavior, but I think even the best guys get crazy when it comes to thinking about new babies. We get excited, they break out into hives.
I am cd14 today and still no positive opk. I know it can get all messed up with a loss but I am starting to get ewcm and I am terrified of missing this first egg. I really want a February baby!! I switched test brands and I'm paranoid they just aren't working the same. I hate to attempt and then get a positive two days later. Too much sperm for my liking.
Im back, cd1 today! Let the counting commence!

hmmm Rosie not sure what I would do in your position as I know your preference when it comes to that. I would BD but that is me!! I am desperate to be PG that I dont care if there would be a few too many sperm. Do you usually get EWCM a few days before O? if so, keep testing.
