Ladies with the yuck taste in their mouths - I have had it with my 4 girls and this time too (boo!) my breath is fine tho and it's really only bad in the evenings.
LaVie, my 4th was my smallest baby so they aren't always bigger.- 7lbs 1. 7lbs14. 8lbs12 and 6lbs14 1/2 (I was induced 5 days early tho, I usually go over)
Also, how cute are those pics?!!? Love them!
My eldest was the biggest. The second was 800 gr smaller. Third 400 gr bigger then the second.
I'm guessing smaller because this baby will be born between 2 and 3 weeks earlier than my first two. I'm sure if I went to term (or over as I usually do - 41+2 with DS1 and 42+1 with DS2) it would be 9lb+ but as this one will be scheduled for 39+2 I'm expecting a smaller baby.

Both my boys were massive DS1 was 8pounds at 39 weeks and DS2 was 9pounds at 40 weeks. I too will be having a planned c section after two emergencies and I have asked to have it at 39 weeks so I am guessing 8pounds?
What fun! Can't wait to meet them all!
I have four kids today and tonight wish me luck, the cousins are staying over!

Ladies i wish my babies were as big as yours. My first was 10lbs 2oz second was 10lbs 12oz!
Im praying since this one is a girl that she will b smaller
Lol...my kiddo was born 4 pounds and a preemie so I'm hoping to be in the normal range this time around. 3,things I pray for everyday
1. Healthy baby
2. Full term baby
3. Being able to breastfeed. Even though it was not in my control, my guilt for not being able to breastfeed my son will never go away

Odd honey how many weeks did he come? That must have been hard having such a wee one, hoping and praying your little lady stays comfortable for longer!!
I also hope you get to experience breast feeding but sometimes these things are out of our control and we can't beat ourselves up! XX

I had that strange taste in my mouth too from the beginning till about week 17. Even water tasted strange. Most of my ms and taste have disappeared now which feels good!
Odd, indeed it must have been a really hard time for you...I have been visiting my nephews in neonatalogy and it is really humbling to see All those little beings fighting.
I still feel down this morning and can't shake that feeling off. As many have said before me, I feel guilty to even have those feelings as 1. Nothing has been confirmed either way but its just what I think I saw, 2. I have a healthy bubba in there and that should be the most important thing.
My DH said you don't want to know and yet you are so obsessed about finding out...I hope that I can let go soon and enjoy the rest of my pg and stop acting like a little spoilt girl ;-)
BlessedMomma my friend has 4 kids, all large & the only girl was her biggest (11lb 3oz!!!) born at home!
Odd I can really empathize with that guilt. It is all consuming but can be useful if you channel it into determination to help you establish breastfeeding with subsequent children. I only breastfed DS1 for 3 weeks due to horrid PND & PTSD from his very traumatic birth. I desperately wanted to breastfeed DS2 for longer (I hoped for 12 months)... I had staph, thrush, mastitis & the worst nipple trauma ever (there were literally bleeding craters in my nipples at one point) but I was determined to do it. i fought tooth & nail, even when I went back to work when he was 8 months old I expressed at work & went to daycare in my lunch break to breastfeed as well. Anyway he is now 3 years 3 months & STILL breastfeeding! I would never have dreamed I would breastfeed for so long! You can do it, I promise it is possible. And don't stress about the first baby, my eldest is now 5.5, top of his class & has a really robust immune system despite only breastfeeding very briefly. To appease my own guilt I gave DS1 expressed breastmilk in a cup a few times when DS2 was newborn. He felt really important & special drinking "booby milk", helped ease some of his jealousy & it was cathartic for me.
LaVieEnRose don't feel guilty honey, gender desire is why we are all here. I know it stinks but if your baby is a boy you won't love him any less & if it's a girl you won't love her any more. GD isn't about love IMO & doesn't dictate being a "good" or "bad" parent. It is just about wanting the experience of parenting both genders, which I think is totally human & totally natural xx
^^Excellent post mama! It's totally true, as someone who got my DG after I already had experienced GD...I was so happy she was coming and felt relief, but I can assure you I don't love her any bit more than either of my boys. I love each the same and sometimes it actually "surprises" me that having her didn't really change much overall. I'm certainly not saying that it didn't matter or that you shouldn't care (heck, I do and I have one of my DG), but I'm saying that it's totally possible to be an amazing parent while having disappointment. It's one of the benefits that I believe I have, knowing that while I'd love to give my daughter a sister...knowing it won't actually matter when baby gets here, that I will adore my new son just as much as I would have adored a daughter. Hang in there!
I am so surprised how big some of the babies in here are! That is awesome. I love myself a chunky little one (as long as he/she doesn't have a big head, I am good. Lol). Mine come early, which was a surprise to me, my mom delivered late. But all three of mine have come between 37-38 weeks (36.6, 37.2, 37.6), so I anticipate that this one will be similar. I am guessing 37.4, haha. Which is late-Feb. I've had a bit of a spread, and they are "decent size" considering gestation. I've had a 6.10, 8.4, and 7.0 (mine didn't "get bigger" each time either. My second was the biggest). I am thinking mid-7s this time, if he/she comes in the same time frame. I'm crossing my fingers that even if he/she is big, it's head won't be giant like DS2. He was off the charts at birth (and pretty much ever since).

I haven't had any breath or taste type symptoms this time. When PG with DS i had one day where my mouth had this minging taste in my mouth that i can only describe as sucking on a dirty coin. It only lasted one day thankfully and I didn't get anything like that this time. Hope its a girly symptom for you ladies!
DS was born on 40+6 and weighed 9.23, was an easy birth, very quick! Hoping for the same or easier this time hehe. So I guess this little lady may also come slightly 'late' but I don't think she will be as heavy simply because I weighed a lot less and have eaten less during the pregnancy. I am eating a lot don't get me wrong but not like last time. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. I was warned also that the next baby would be bigger and also that it would be quicker so I have to either do it at home or get to hospital the moment I feel anything happening!! Last time the guidance was to only call if you were having contractions 3 minutes apart that were so bad you couldn't talk through them. As mine seemed quite irregular and not that bad, i didn't realise it was the real thing until my waters broke in my living room (thankfully we have wooden floors....) then I called the birth centre and they told me to call back in an hour - that hour was pretty bad so when I called them back I must have sounded bad and they told me to come in and DS was born about 30-40 mins after we arrived!! Fantastic!! Was very considerate of him to come in the afternoon as well :)

Odd please don't feel guilty for not bf your DS! You have decided you want to do it with your DG and that is the first step to making it successful this time round. I feel sad for mums who feel they haven't given their kiddos breast milk are failures because I know if they could have it would be an entirely different story. DS1 bf until I brought DS2 home from hospital (so for 27 months) and DS2 now at 26 months still loves his boobies. It has just fit into our lifestyle and I couldn't imagine it any other way.
My two were quite "average" at birth I think - 7lbs 6ozs and 7lbs 4ozs with longgggggg active labours though! (I envy you steph!!! Your little lady will make a speedy appearance with your track record!) Had pethidine with DS1 and DS2 was only gas and air and they both came on their due dates so I'm hoping this little one follows suit although I'm due very close to DS1's birthday and don't want them to share the same birthday ekkk!
This time I'd like to have a homebirth and saw my midwife last Wednesday who said they could help make it happen. So now just a waiting game as seeing her on this Wednesday to do my bloods and awaiting hospital appt for my 12 week scan! Geez it flies by so darn quick third time around.
Oh and also have this chalky blah taste in my mouth and carry mints everywhere just in case but DH says I'm not smelly. Never had this before so also hoping it is a sign although I'm calling baby a boy already...just accustomed lol xxx

My kiddos were 6lb13oz, 2lb14oz (28 week preemie), and 7lb13oz! I am wondering how big this baby is going to be as well. I am guessing right about 8lbs. Even my youngest at 7lb13oz felt so heavy because I have a really short torso, so I am hoping not too much heavier than that!
I have been having that nasty taste in my mouth that everybody else is talking about too. I need to constantly be drinking water or something to stave it away!
SweetMummy- I am also constantly calling baby a he. I just keep telling myself that it's a boy and my hubby has been doing the same.
My 12 week scan in on next Monday. I am so nervous that I am going to see a nub, or skull that look boyish. I think if I see anything that makes me think blue that I am going to cancel my 16 week gender scan that is supposed to be November 22, and just stay Team Green. I don't know.
Hope everyone is doing well! I have been away for a week or so:) my boys and I went to the beach with my mother. Was a nice trip, but now I am so tired. And I gained 3 pounds while I was away!!! Yikes! I need to crack down on that if I want to keep this pregnancy hidden until I find out the gender;)
My boys were all big ones. Ds1 was 9lbs 5oz, ds2 was 8lbs 15oz 10 days early, and ds3 was 10lbs 5 oz 1week early. Hoping this one is not any bigger!! I am only 5 ft 3 inch, pregnancy is so uncomfortable for me.
Love hearing about everyone's ultra sounds!! Makes me excited to see this little one in a couple weeks!!
My first ultrasound is on Thursday! I will be 13 weeks, 2 days.

HopingforHairbows awww please don't go into the scan worried about nubs and skulls! You're getting to see your new little bub for the first time and I know gender is at the back of everyone's mind on here but we can't change it now right? So best to go in there thinking positive :) (says the lady also freaking out about nubs and skulls!)

Sarah I'm about ten weeks and still feel bleh but with my boys it stopped dead on 12 weeks so will see what happens this time. Hoping it goes away soon for you! Did you feel the same with your DS?

I haven't posted in a while as I have been feeling pretty poorly. I had my 12 weeks scan today, baby is measuring 3 days ahead so I am 12w+6d. I have had quite few people guessing 'girl', it would be amazing if that was the case! Anyway I hope you are all doing well. Attached is my scan picture. xxx

QueenB I'm the same height as you 5'3" & I don't know how you are hiding your pregnancy! I had to get out my maternity pants at 4 weeks & by 9 weeks I had strangers & work colleagues congratulating me. I look 6 months gone already!
Sarah I'm so sorry you're still not feeling well. Hang in there. I don't feel great but I feel significantly better than I did a few weeks ago. I've been having wretched back pain already - another exciting element of The Curse of the Short Torso - but I discovered Panadol Osteo on the weekend which is just a higher dose of paracetamol so it is safe & it works ok. Not as well as anti-inflamitories but obviously they're off the cards for the next 29 weeks or so!
I'm going to book my 12 week scan for around 13 weeks so I have a good chance at seeing the nub. I'm still CERTAIN it's another boy. I was upset a few weeks ago but I've made peace with the idea now.
Lovely US pic orchidea! No guess from me I'm hopeless at the skull theory & can't see a nub. But a very sweet profile :)

Sweet mummy, I am going to have to try the ginger tea! I just started to feel more yucky Sunday:( yesterday I felt for sure I was going to get sick but some how managed not to. I remember atomic saying sour candies like jolly ranchers helped soothed the nausea also, so I will be trying that also.

Kitkat, I would go crazy over your nub:) my thoughts of team green would shoot straight out the door also!! At my scan I will only be around 10 weeks:( No nub guessing for me! I figure it is probably better off though. I would drive myself mad analyzing the thing!!!

Hi Ladies!
I am due the 20th of April and just read through a bunch of your posts. So funny how many I can relate to. While my neasua has subsided, I, like Kitkat agree that lemons (even sliced in water) helped me! Now I am constantly out of breath and feel as if I am 7 months along rather then just over three! This is my fourth baby so I like to think my body is just like "here we go again" and popped right out!
I have three boys so a girl would be such a treat for me. I am obsessing over my 12 week sono!!!

Thank you! Yes I posted it on the forum and all guesses were girl! We will see :) This will be my last pregnancy I am trying to love every second although the first three months kicked my butt!! Nice to read everyone's thoughts and experiences.
Mommy3b are you finding out? Great news about girl guesses me too and its awesome but I am now really really nervous that everyone was wrong and there will be a big Willy at my 19 week scan !! X

Thanks for the warm welcome! Kitkat yes we have an elective sono next thurs! I hear ya after all the girl responses if I see a big willy I will be in shock!!! But I know there is always that possibility :)
