Yup, that's a possible ovulation symptom. Not sure where you are in your cycle, but that's also a possible implantation symptom too -- so if you weren't ready for this to be your cycle, I hope it's just the former!
@Cnburke: Oh, we're the same age! My midwives office wouldn't even order the test for me despite me pushing, which bummed me out because my first cousin had a child with DS very young (and we're all very fresh off the boat, so there's only so much family history to know if it's a fluke). I've heard that you can call some (or one?) of them and, even if insurance doesn't cover it, they'll reduce the cost out of pocket. I understand if you don't want to go that route -- I know I'll be experimenting next successful pregnancy to see if it pans out!
I heard that also so I called and they said they offer cost reductions if you make under a certain amount and we never qualify for things like that :/ .. which I try to remember that I should feel blessed but that still doesn't mean we can afford a thousand dollars for a blood test ! Lol
I hope you find one that is covered :) where are you from ?

I appreciate your words and advice :) however , I had to try to understand why you said sneak peek isn't reliable and then recommended I try an old wives tale ? Lol
Just to be clear , sneak peek is a blood test . Not the urine tests or anything like that sold in drug stores . I'm just unsure if the company operates the same way as legit labs that doctors refer you to do. I've heard great things about it and then horrible things so I guess I will just wait until my scan before going out and buying more pink stuff ! I will post a nub shot just for fun at the end of this week if I get a good one!

I'm in the Midwest in the U.S.! Do you remember which testing company you called? I swear I remember reading that maybe Materni21 was the one you could order and even if they sent you a large bill, you could call and say, "I can't afford this," and they'd do a sort of stock price of like $200-500. I have to wonder if the cost of the test is much lower than let on because of that, and that the prices are more because of the possibility of insurance paying out on them. Then a gain, it's been well over a year since I looked into any of this!
This is MaterniT21. Mine only cost $200 with insurance. My insurance company negotiated the $2000 price down with them. I was 35 at the time though and was told that was why it was so cheap. I have had friends call them when they got their bill, and it was reduced to $200-$500 depending on what all they tested for.

The company I called was 'progenity' . Which is one of two companies my doctor uses. However, I went to my doctors today and my doctor would rather me go ahead and do the blood test instead of the NT scan because he said it is more reliable . He said he is sure it will eventually become the 'norm' in the states as opposed to NT scans . So I went ahead and did the blood work and should have the results back next week or so , including gender :) but most importantly health :) my doctor assured me that it would be completely covered or at the most a $99 copay . He said if not to call him and he will discuss it with the company . But he did write on the order form that I have a history of abnormal chromosomal results , which I do . So hopefully that covers it :)
So I won't be posting any nub shots now but will update in a week or so with results !!
Heartbeat was 150 today @ 13 weeks ;)

So I went through a few succesfull boy sways and noticed many 'gree tea's', as in many women added gree tea in their supplements. I can't find gree tea but found many greeN tea tablets/powders on amazone. Is there any difference and how effective is it?
Meoab
I had only green tea as a drink
As regular tea when I swayed for DS 1

Just found out we are expecting in Oct! Have been trying Shettles method for the last 7 months and nothing happened. First month of EOD with every day during fertile window as advised by Atomic in the index section. Praying we will get our boy after having two beautiful girls, and this being our last.
Congrats jconger! Fingers crossed it's blue!
I'm currently cd23 with no positive opk in sight but days of ewcm - which is great after none last cycle. The latest I've ever O'ed has been cd24 which was last cycle, so frustrating as I'm ready to get to my first attempt cycle. With DH sick this one we decided to skip it.
Wish we had a way to make ourselves O!
congrats jcogner! :)
@dancing , this seems to be an ongoing theme for first attempt cycles LOL. My first cycle was nuts and very very stressful. How long have you been on HE? This is going to affect your ovulation also.
The best thing to do is let it all go and RELAX. Keep a close eye on your fertile signs and don't overthink things. It really helped me this cycle.
Congrats to you Cosmo! I wish I would just ovulate, get my AF 12 days later and then I can start my attempt! - provided DH doesn't get sick again!
I've been on the HE diet for 4 months (3 religiously). I took an opk this afternoon and it was a bit darker than yesterday's but not positive. So maybe in the next day or two I'll get a positive hopefully.
Congratulations Jconger & Cosmosis
Sending positive and sticky vibes to you !
Diva , it happened sometimes , hopefully you'll get a positive OPK tomorrow !
AFM, I just got my period , it was late for 11 days !! Wow
So I have decided to lose weight , and stopped my meds , To figure out what makes my cycles wacky!
I'm kinda busy with other things , after few months I will start HE diet again
Gosh , its so hard to eat less and lose weight now

Thanks everyone! The whole frequency is foreign to me, so makes me a tad nervous. After trying for so many months of abstaining until 12 hrs after positive opk and NOT getting pregnant, then finding conflicting things here about it... thought we would give it a go. And yay!! Two months of more often BEFORE ovulation and during and here we are. I have believed the shettles for so many years it still makes me nervous LOL. I did gain some muscle and was lifting weights. My husband was too. I just gotta trust God. Praying we get our boy!! What about you guys? Are you trying the frequency thing? :bluecheer:
We did EOD the whole cycle and then 0- 3 (didn't know that until positive opk) then 0-2 on positive opk (about 36 hours later) then 0-1 and 0+1. Couldn't do on O day unfortunately but hoping that's not too big of a deal. Curious to hear what you guys did/are trying
hey all I'm back! excited to see some of you ladies getting your bfps and hoping for blue!
OK so Hubs and I had a heart to heart yesterday and we both feel like we still want another baby no matter the gender. The issue is he doesn't want to really sway because he doesn't want to go through the stress of it all and still end up with and opposite. I am going to try to do a light sway because I really feel like if its meant to be it will. I have been following the HE diet rather loosely for the past few months. I think we are going to do our first attempt in April. I am a little frustrated because I found a vegan protein power that of course I just read and it has stevia extract. I hate how it seems artificial sweeteners are in everything!
Also question do you guys like the bolthouse farms juices? I drink one cup of the green goodness since it has the same potassium as V8 and I cant seem to stomach V8.
It is so nice if you can get to a point where you'll be happy with either sex. Think I'm slowly getting there which is nice. Doesn't mean giving up on swaying though if you want to. I'd do what you can of the suppliments and HE diet as that won't impact him particularly, my DP definitely wouldn't complain about having more red meat. The BD pattern can be harder to 'hide' if you don't want to be seen to be trying to hard, guess it depends how different it is from your norm. GL
Thanks ya I bought all the supps and have been loosly following a HE diet for a few months now. My biggest concern is him getting stressed out and not wanting to BD or his schedule can get crazy and we don't see much of each other. I have been lurking on here following everyone's story. I am excited to have people to talk about this with since I'm tying to keep it quiet from people in real life lol. the next two months are going to be the longest with anticipation!
I can understand trying to keep the swaying out of conversation with people in your real life. I find that difficult as mentally swaying can be pretty consuming, however, given I'm supposed to be the rational, logical one I think if people knew I was reading up on swaying they'd think I'd lost my marbles.
The BD part is tricky on the boy sway cause it seems so important but is also quite out of our control. My dp works quite a stressful job and can be hard to pin down when it comes to ttc at the best of times. Think if he knows that a boy sway is generally about having lots of sex (not daily) then you can keep the dates you O to yourself and just regularly initiate trying to get your 3 attempts in. Even 2 has quite good odds still.
Hi ladies!
I'm new on here and would love to join this daily chat! We have a 4 1/2 year old dd and a 2 1/2 year old dd, and this will be our last baby! I have started the supps this week and am diving into the he diet! We don't plan on actively ttc till this summer though! Does anyone have any advice!?
Congrats to those with your bfp! How exciting!

Welcome MsMarie89!
There are of course tons of info on the main boy bard to check out. I'm sure we can try to answer any questions if we can :-) I am hoping to get pregnant this summer as well since I would really like a spring baby! My girls are about the same age as yours too! my 4 yo is October and my 2 yo is july.
I did also want to say that I found Jessica smith TV in you tube and she does 30 min wight workouts that are super easy for beginners if anyone is interested.
Yes Bommy , please share the video

This is the one that I started with. she uses 10 and 20 lbs, but I just have 8 lbs so I use those and still makes me work up a sweat. I like that is short but still a workout!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! :)
Bommy- I am going to check that workout out tomorrow!! I have been finding some great weight training workouts on YouTube! Do most of you blue swayers tend to stick with 20-30 min weight workouts? That's what I've been doing so far. Have never used weights and I don't know why! I love it!
Miamelb- Oh my gosh, yes! I love love love the age gap with my girls! And trust me, it just gets better and better. Mine are literally best friends now and it's adorable! I was just so not ready to do the 2 year age gap again and I'm so glad we didn't!
I have been doing about 30 mins a day for 4 or 5 days. I really cant do much more since I work and have my girls to take care of. I also take a 30 to 45 min walk at work. I'm kinda worried that its too much but I also dont really want to gain any weight since I am already overweight.
Yes! I'm going to have a hard time giving up doing a lot of cardio as I don't want to gain much on he. My husband works out of town every other three weeks which makes it hard to ttc. He will only be home at the right time to ttc every few months. Tricky situation when swaying!
The weight gain is my fear about the HE diet too. I put on weight just looking at food, hence I have lived a very girl friendly LE diet for years. I put on about 20kg with both pregnancies so can't even imagine adding to that before I even start. Goal for this year is to get off about 10kg (still wouldn't get me down to the weight I was before DD1) so I don't feel so bad about putting some on when we start ttc.
So true I have struggled with my weight most of my life. I defiantly have a very girl friendly lifestyle as well that I have been trying to change since last fall.
I m going to try really hard to keep my portions in check. I am doing mostly just sups now and plan on starting the full on diet in Late April/ early May to start TTC in June. I love to run and normally do about 12-15 miles a week but I am cutting that way down. I have a race in March then will be only running once a week to keep the cardio down. I hope my walking isn't too much. I might just keep it to 30 min a day maybe.
Hi Everyone. I am new here and want to join this daily chat. I have a dd who is 5 yrs old and we are ttc our second starting next cycle. This will be our last one. I could use all the advise I could get. I have always struggled with my weight. I m trying to follow the He diet but not religiously. I just saw the workout video. That's really helpful as I have never done weights. Wishing everyone here including myself all the best with their sway and BFP.

Bommy- I am a runner also, will be tough to give up. I have a pretty obsessive personality so I'm glad I'll have the weight training to keep me occupied. I think I'll be on the same time frame as you to go full on he. I am doing supps and weights now and have started incorporating more he friendly ways but just can't start with the larger amounts of calories yet!
Sky blue- welcome :)! These ladies seem great and very knowledgeable!
Awesome! I am trying to wait until absolutely necessary to start the HE diet. I agree I have been doing more blue friendly recipes to perfect so I can have a good menu when I start. I really hope I get pregnant quickly as well since that helps not gain too much weight. With my girls it was one hit wonders lol, but I am in my early 30s now so I wonder if that will meant it will take longer. I am hoping for march or April baby but we will see!
Wondering if anyone has heard of it helping to have husbands workout and gain muscle to help sway boy??
