Dreaming Pink Due Date Group: TTC and Beyond

Back and crying...the right kidney space is just a mess/mass of fluid and the tech called her radiologist and the images stumped him. The last time and this the baby was positioned oddly so while they think the left kidney is fine, we just don't know. I will have the proper follow-up appt next Tuesday at which point I will know when the next u/s. And you don't get to see a single image or pic....

The sad thing is that I have accepted a third boy, moving forward and all I want to do right now is just pretend that all is ok with gender unknown baby. That is what I choose to present to the rest of the world...but I am in agony waiting.

Ladybugs - Oh no. I am so, so sorry!! When we had the issue with DS3's kidney while pg with him, I did a little research online and also heard from a friend who had a similar issue. I read about something where one of the kidneys is "polycystic" and then eventually just atrophies and goes away? In that situation, as long as the other one is fine, baby will be perfectly fine. Was this a possibility raised by anyone who saw the pics? I don't understand about you not getting a pic. Someone else mentioned not getting to see baby at all during 20-wk scan...what's the deal with that?? Why can't you look? My heart is so sad for you...yet, I really, REALLY think you have plenty of reason for hope! Kidney problems are apparently very common with boys...although I have a friend who has a baby girl born with one kidney, and she is perfectly healthy. Thank goodness for two kidneys! Praying for your sweet baby boy (and you, too)!!

Myrainbowgirl....if it was just up to the tech, I would agree with that, but she actually called the radiologist that reports to the MDs, which makes me wonder. Our system is frustrating, mostly because this is the second scan in the area and I thought they could have given me an idea if something is wrong last time. I hope that the left kidney is a stellar one!!!!

I am sooo sorry you are having to go through this. I really hope all still turns out well with your little man. I don't agree with them not talking to you about things after the scan as they clearly alerted and upset you and Tuesday is a long time to wait for some answers. Big, big hugs.

Iloveladybugs, I am so, so sorry. I can't believe this is happening to you at such a late stage. I wish the was something I could do to fix this. We're all here for you... :hugs:

I woke up so bright and early today....starting off my off days with a bang!! I wish I felt like working on a little baby item or two, but the scan results or lack thereof has sapped my desire to work on projects/room/anything for him.

I have been cuddling with my big boys...they truly are my joys and I know that regardless of the outcome of all of this, my boys...all 3 of them are so loved.

Ladybug - I have been staying off the site so I've been really quiet, but I just wanted to stop by and say I have been thinking non stop about you hun... I REALLY think it will probably be okay, even if the road to okay is bumpy. If we were talking about the heart or brain then I wouldn't have such hope... but kidneys, thankfully, are two fold! So even worst case scenario, he has one more... and if we can get him here safely, then a whole world of help will open up. I can't read the future, but I have such an immense amount of good energy to throw your way and I will hope enough for the two of us :) I am so sorry you have to go through any ounce of worry, I know how hard it is... but please keep us posted and try to enjoy your early mornings and your big boys... thinking of you :hugs:

Charlee...you too have been on my mind all week!!! I know that these little boys are special....and I can't help but think that my newest one is going to arrive safe. I am having to have trust that he is meant for Earth and not all worry to consume me. How are you feeling and dealing? Have you been able to get some sleep? Are they going to scan your wee man again? When do you get your shoulder looked at? (((hugs))) and prayers!!!

These pics that I sorted through today are making me feel so warm and cozy to my little boys and the thought of a third!!!

Ladybugs - Aww, yes, so sweet aren't they? I just finished an anniversary scrapbook album to celebrate our 10 years so far, and it was so fun to see the boys as tiny, sweet little babies. This little guy MUST be special and meant for your family if he squeaked through your sway! BIG hugs and prayers coming your way.
