Uh, okay... that dip couldn't possibly be for ovulation because I just checked my cervix again, with all the AF type cramping I've been having this morning since I checked early am and I barely put my fingers in and my cervix is waaaay low. I got white lotiony stretchy cm and my cervix feels massive! What the? It feels much longer than usual??

I think it could be an implantation dip, suregena!

Well after a horrible cycle AF showed. I truly don't know which tests to trust anymore..they all had lines. So on to a new one and maybe my BFP this time....
-
Sorry, HappyMedium - I was really hopeful for you. What brand of tests were you using?
-
If I DO conceive this cycle, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a boy, because I feel like my diet sucked. :( I DID lose 6lbs prior to ovulation, but... don't know! I'm full of the "looking back on everything" thoughts today.
-
Don't do that to yourself, suregena! I still think becuz your son was concieved during a "pig out" vacation type thing that you may even be more prone to making girls than boys (since you're a vegeratarian)...you only have 1 boy... do not lose hope or even second question yoru sway, esp. since you don't even know if it resulted in pregnancy or not :)

Suregena, FX on an implantation dip! I think something like 80 percent of implantations happen on CD8-10, so you're in a perfect range for it.
Happy Medium, sorry about that darn AF. :(
Less than 36 hours after my BFP, I started coming down with a gnarly respiratory illness. I'd been having a funny, fuzzy-headed, dizzy feeling for a couple of days before testing that I'd attributed to possible pg ... but now I think it was my body trying to fight off the onset of the sore throat/cold/whatnot (DH had the same thing, includng the preceding dizziness, about 10 days earlier). So I'm achy and have laryngitis from the cold and queasy from early pg ... I'm a big ball of fun!! :p I'm eager for the sickness to clear up so that I'll be able to concentrate on just the "good" bad feelings (they feel bad, but they're good because they're from my bean!). Nuthin' good about bad cold feelings. Blech.

Suregena - we all have second thoughts after the attempt is done. I had so many regrets after my BFP, but it still worked out in the end. Think of all the things you DID do to sway and don't focus on the stuff you didn't do.

Are implantation dips common? And, for the most part, do they only happen if an egg was released and fertilized?
Like... you don't have a random low dip in the middle of high temps post ovulation if no pregnancy is happening, right? I know there are all sorts of variations of what is "normal", but... I mean, statistically, what's the implantation dip all about, then?
When I felt my low cervix, that did give me a huge sigh of relief with my huuuge temp dip! Because to me that DEFINITELY meant no way I could have only just 'ovulated' now.... with a cervix that low... ouch! I don't think my husband would get in there. :x
Thanks, girls... :) I swear, I really need to keep remembering that most of you are naturally meat eaters and my husband and I are longtime vegetarians... so our odds are already good-ish perhaps, anyway.

not sure if you have read this yet suregena
Implantation dip study
So basically - if you have a dip, you are more likely to be pregnant, then not. But having a dip doesn't necessarily mean you are pregnant - i.e., yes you can have a dip and no pregnancy, but its far less likely.
