Im not charting. I just feel like me being who I am, it will stress me out entirely too much.. I use OPKs starting on cd11 (because I always get a positive between cd12 and cd16). Today is cd12 and at 7am this morning it had a very faint line and at 7pm it was unmistakably positive. I immediately got in our first attempt.. Is tomorrow morning too soon to get in round 2? Or should I wait until tomorrow evening just incase I don't ovulate until a day or 2 from now? DH will only give me 2 tries each month, so my next will be my last..
Mommy2apples - He already shows he’s not a baby anymore. He has 2 big brothers to keep up with and he sure can hang with them just fine. He’s the little boss of the house, and right now his favorite/new word is NO lol He tells his brothers NO, NO, NO and points his little finger when he says it :)
LMSM - I feel just like that. Some days it blows my mind how I’m still functioning still. I won’t say I’m weaning yet, but I do ask for my bubbies back lol of course he laughs. I know maybe I’m being funny and encouraging him more. When you weaned did you just let dd cry it out? He’s never took a bottle only a regular cup he drinks from during meals. He nurses all night, during day and for nap times. If I make eye contact he wants to nurse lol
Nacire & Mommy- I nursed DS2 before bed until he was 2! I think it was more of a comfort thing for him & I thought there was no end in sight! I eventually replaced our nighttime routine with singing songs & reading books & the transition was easier than I thought!! BTW, DS2 is a March baby & I think March babies are pretty awesome (not biased or anything 🤣).
Nacire-I thought I remembered you switching to vag temps. I did that mid cycle too many cycles ago & found it to be more accurate. Just wondered if that's why your more recent temps are looking lower than the earlier ones. Was CD13 your 1st vag temp?
LMSM-ooo Fx this chart continues to follow your previous BFP chart!!!
Max-it does seem like it would be really hard to pinpoint O+12 & seems like it would take awhile to get preggo. Maybe it works by pure luck if it ends up being the 1 attempt & the egg is still there & ready to be fertilized??
Lol sounds like my 2 year old! He turned two the end of April Naci!!
Lola: yep I weaned ds2 at 15 months, because he was using me as a pacifier. It took about three days then he was fine with it! My birthday is the 29th of march! Lol and our Anniversary is march too so thought it'd be a pretty cool month to have a baby! lol if only we got to choose!

Nacire-Since you're nursing 3+ times a day, maybe you could wean by dropping 1 feeding at a time. I nursed only before bed for a long time, then eventually replaced with a new nighttime routine that he seemed perfectly happy with-brushing teeth, reading books & singing songs.
Ttc-yay for getting your 1st attempt in!!
Oh TTC good thing you took those opks today then! :) FX todays and tomorrow’s attempt do the trick – if you only get two in since you will at most ovulate in 48h, you probs are better off doing an attempt in the morning (which would be what, 36hrs prior to O at most – likely less) so that if you do ovulate early, you will have had the 2nd attempt before O.
The gurus may chip in with a different view – but if this 2nd attempt is all you will get this cycle (di you then abstain or DH just uses a condom then?) – you are probably better off ensuring you BD when the chances of conception are highest ;)
Mommy-Fx for a March baby!! I know!! I always wanted a summer baby since I'm off for the summer & I wouldn't have to worry about taking maternity leave. I guess the silver lining of having an August, March & now Feb baby IS getting to use the maternity leave...keeps the school year interesting haha.
Oh totally get it – the tiredness was doing my head in, it was so hard at work that I thought I would lose my sanity so instead of abruptly snapping and weaning off cold turkey I thought I owed it to her to do it gently at least (had gotten to the point that the night feeds I started to physically hate- when I used to love the closeness in the still of the night when she was smaller - I just could not cope anymore, to the point I actually felt like ripping her off the breast, it made my skin crawl so bad I thought that is it).
But no, I never did nor ever will do cry it out – regardless of me not being able to cope (hubby was keen with CIO until I explained why it was no good), it’s also that so much research has shown how detrimental it is, I just would not be able to ;)
What I did, is what Lola recommended – I dropped a feed at a time: she had been at daycare since 10 months old, so she had 4 days/week without me during the day so she did take some bottles – so most days I had feeds with her 1st thing in the am, then after dinner before bed then often a few times at night.
So I dropped the one she seemed to care less for, i.e. the morning one – 1st I only offered every other day, until she seemed content – basically didn’t offer didn’t refuse at first but offered bottles instead (at first with some expressed milk then weaned off that gently too).
Then after maybe 10 days or so, we then looked at dropping the day feeds when she was with me (Friday to Sunday) – with the same approach – then finally did the same with the evening one: the night ones she actually accepted better than I thought, and I just told her mummy had no more milk – was sore-ish for a week when we dropped the last feed, and had to express a bit to help avoid mastitis but it went surprisingly well. The whole process was over maybe 5-6 weeks? She hasn’t asked for boob since – she just cuddles instead :)
GL wth that process - it is bittersweet - I was relieved and sad all at once, esp fo rthat very last feed - I got DH to take a pic of us
Lol true Lola!!
