Soooo, I was craving some boiled peanuts today! Stopped by the hot boiled peanut stand today yummm! Any of you heard of them, it's a Southern thing & most "out of towners" think they're gross lol.

Lola soooo cute! And my goodness you are still so tiny! Love that little bump! My girlfriends threw me a sprinkle when I found out we were having another girl, but it was more geared towards me since we already had everything. They took me to a spa and it was amazing!! [emoji4] But for sure let them throw you one, especially since it's your first girl. Definitely celebrate it! [emoji175]

Ash-can't remember which was which, but one was lennylemons & one was modernbabyco. I just can't seem to get enough of the baby clothes...it's a problem haha! Did you pick up for furniture yet or is that tomorrow?

Me too, 4b2p! I've bought long sleeved dresses, tunics, shoe tights, and leggings for dresses/outfit combinations. I'll post pics of my stash I've bought so far when my last order comes in on Wednesday. I seriously have a problem, haha! I've only bought 0-3mo and 3-6mo until I see her growth pattern and what the weather does here. It's cold from November-March typically but we've had mild winters the past 2 years. I'm thinking we are in for a doozy of one, but who knows!Quote:

we've barely had a summer here this year XX i never put the winter coats away :( as we still had cold/rainy days unfortunately!!
i love shoe tights they are so cute!! and leggins are the way forward with girls i swear! my 2 year old has lots of black leggings that go with any top/t-shirt or even dress, makes it so much easier :)
XX have you had any experience with raspberry leaf tea capsules? ive never taken them but considering this time.. recommended dosage is 1 per day from 32 weeks building up to 6 per day by 38 weeks, im going to start my own thread asking but thought id ask you seen as your here :)

What is the strength of the capsules? I just worry that it's too concentrated. I would just do the tea, personally. It didn't work for me with my DS1- he was 8 days late, haha! I really didn't think it helped much with uterine tone either. Personally, Yoga, lots of kegels (I start doing 50 per day in 1st-2nd tri, 100 per day in beginning of 3rd tri and work up to 300 per day starting at 32 weeks), increase my water intake during waking hours and walk 4-8mi (depending on how my boys/DH are, haha!). All of this has helped my pelvic floor/uterus tremendously! During my postpartum exam, they couldn't believe the tone/shape of my pelvic floor/uterus! I had to have a MRI after my DS3 was born because they feared I may have retained some placenta. The radiologist who read my report came to my follow-up appointment, because he couldn't believe I had 3 children, haha! Plus, this makes me feel like I'm actually doing something productive to help me. It helps me quiet/tame my mind and prepare for labor.Quote:

4blue2pink-boiled peanuts have a soft texture & oh so good! I got the regular salted kind, but also can get Cajun or ham & taste great hot or cold. All of DH's family from Ohio think they're weird haha. Weather wise for us, February is usually cold, but March, April, May is our spring & it's starts to get warm in March. Our weather is strange though in the winter & spring...one day it's cold, the next it's warm! Our summers are humid & hot! It's so hot here now that it feels like I'm melting everytime I go outside ugh. Today is overcast & breezy though & I'm liking it!!!
XX-can't wait to see your stash! I've been buying nb, 0-3, 3-6 and only have a few 6-9. I've been thinking ahead to the summer & the many cookouts we have by the pool.
Ash-sure hope winter weather doesn't get in your way when it's baby time!!

thanks XX dosage is 375mg of raspberry leaf extract per 2 tablets, i agree it does sound like a huge dose especially at 6 tablets per day!!
its mainly for the supposed hemorrhage reduction, im not fussed at all about going "overdue" i believe babies come when they are ready and due dates aren't very accurate anyway :) im also not worried about needing to shorten labour as im quick as it is, its purely the hemorrhage side of things, ive never had one, but because i freebirth at home and this is baby #8 i feel like its wise to at least look into this *if* it really does help in that way :)
i am also wary of meds and avoid unless i really have too, i just keep hearing about these from everyone and it also seems a lot of midwives here really plug them.
yes i do kegels all the way through and also when im not pregnant, i dread to think how things would be if i had never bothered!! i also drink a large amount of water (3-5 litres per day) anyway because im an H2O freak :D haha
they look good lola :D i cant cope with heat when im pregnant so im glad our summer hasnt been good this year, last year we had a couple of big heatwaves when i was 7-8 months pregnant and i really struggled it was horrid

I've started gaining weight but trying not to stress, it's my last pregnancy and it will come off.
Pbn - does Sky know boy/girl yet? I was just curious if maybe DH told her and that's why she hasn't been coming on??
Max - I loved that Doppler when I could find heartbeat and I found as early as 9 weeks pretty easily. Then around 11 baby started moving a lot and I couldn't find and I got really nervous. Just know that just because you can't find everything can still be fine.

Kat- def agree, when baby moves locations & hides...can totally cause freak out moments! It's been so long since I've had an appt, my next one is the anatomy scan Sept 15th! It's still so far away, I've been thankful for my Doppler! I bet you have a cute lil bump. I'm eating in moderation, but letting myself splurge at times! Last pregnancy...totally agree, don't stress & enjoy!
Lola - mines the 20th, so far! My OB won't do anatomy scans until 20 weeks - kills me every time!

Kat-for some reason my OB skipped the 16 week appt & going straight to anatomy scan at 18 weeks...feels so far away ugh! You'll know gender then, won't you??!! So excited to hear!
Lola - yes! I wish I could've skipped and done 18 weeks, ready to see baby. Sad it could be my last ultrasound ever [emoji24]

How exciting Kat!! My appointment is 9/14, which will be my 12 week scan. They initially told me I'd have bloodwork done at 10 weeks to confirm genetics and gender, but then changed it to a 12 week appointment. Any guesses why? Wondered if it had to do with the hematoma? I'm so ready to find out!!
Ladies, I had one of those moments today... my 2 year old nephew came over and my DH wrestled with him for about an hour. He threw balls with him, played cars with him, and whispered hilarious girl advice to him. I've been so focused on wanting to give my girls another sister, but seeing him with a little boy kind of made me want a boy too! [emoji51] pretty sure there is no shot of trying for a 4th...

Sorry I've skipped over the last few pages to ask a question..
Went for our morphology scan today and baby is measuring only 17+2 weeks when other scans and dates had said I was 19 weeks. Both of my boys always measured weeks bigger so haven't experienced a smaller. Makes me a bit worried.
Lucky a friend was going the scan so checked over baby and said everything looked fine.. just small.
Back in 2 weeks :( Gender was confirmed a girl though which was an upside..
What are your experiences with small babies?

Max - you might have a blue bundle in there! I'm definitely wavering back and forth mainly bc my oldest is dying for this baby to be a girl. My DH is saying he wants a girl, but I think he'd be excited about a boy. But, it's really not up to us. I've said this before but I'm not 100% sold on swaying.

Oh and Max - my blood work was done at 12 weeks and Lola's closer to 10, so maybe it just depends on DR. How old are you? Over 35? If so, you'll get more extensive blood work done. Do your girls know yet? Are they worried with you being on bedrest?

Laurelw I've not had any experience with smaller babies but maybe since this is your first girl she's smaller. Girls are typically smaller anyways

Laurelw my boys also always measured ahead so I've no experience with smaller bubs either [emoji53] my 20w scan is tomorrow so will be interesting to see whether bub is ahead or not. I wouldn't worry if your friend said everything looked fine, you may just have a petite little miss cooking or maybe she'll have a couple growth spurts over the next few months and end up measuring ahead anyway [emoji6]

My girls have always been behind by a few days never a week or more and we r on the short stature wise 5ft4 5ft9 plus my babies weigh on the smaller side around 6 lbs 5oz ish so i assumed that was why.
What did ur doc say laurel ? Are u saying u were supposed to be 19 but measured 17 weeks ?
Being behind by 2 weeks isnt good at any gestation as far as i know ( sorry for saying that don't mean to scare u) I hope baby catches up and i am glad they r bringing u in in 2 weeks for follow up
