He was very happy :) He was convinced as much as I was that it was a boy, so it was just a confirmation for him too. We went christmas shopping and I was tempted to buy something but didn't get anything yet.

Oh dreaming - am sorry you didnt hear girl but brothers are amazing - if this is your last baby its probably a blessing as boys can be so much closer than a brother and sister - they will grow up together and be able to go off and do stuff together that maybe a brother and sister couldnt do. BUT REMEMBER - There is still a chance she pops out a she :-)

Thank you Jadis :) I know they're gonna be great pals especially when they grow up. My son will be much older than this little one but I see how he gets along well with his little cousins, so I'm quite sure he'll care for his little brother so much :)

Dreaming, there's almost 9 years between my brother and I. While we don't have much in common at the moment (he's a wild university student and I'm a married, mortgaged, soon-to-be mother of 3), we've always been close. I'm fiercely protective of him and he knows it. He may go 2 weeks without calling me but when he needs an ear or a shoulder to lean on, I'm #1 on his speed dial. The age difference can be magical, congrats again.

I think that would be even harder for me then just finding out that it is a boy at birth. I am also going green we did for the other 3 and I wouldn't dream of doing it any other way.
