Hi LMW! Lovely to hear from you (again!). Glad you are keeping well and are all set for bambino. 13th Aug not long. :)
Can anyone explain the tax credit 'disregard' amount. Am I right in saying..... if my income has gone up by a certain amount since my last award notice last year then as long as it's not more than (think it's either £2,500 or £10,000, don't understand) then your tax credit amt won't change. Or is it if you earned more the current year they won't take it off ur new amount? We have earned £1200 more than 2010/11 andI'm worried they will want this years payments back if I'm no longer entilted :( Was hoping to save my tax credit £ and take another month or 2 off work, going back in jan. so stressed! like I need that! Should I call them?

For anyone who had similar prob, Just phoned tax credits.... you take off £100 for every week u take mat leave from your final salary. sorted.... I think!

Hi ladies, feel like im getting behind on posts and need to catch up properly at some point! I find if the weathers nice i don't use my computer half as much though i think about you guys loads! When its rainy, im on here all the time! Right im going to head over to the fb page and see whats going on!
LMW, so so lovely to hear from you! You sound so super excited, not long now!
-
Lmw - good to hear from you! Glad your excited! Not long now!
Kell - shame you can't clone yourself as a student midwife you just the person needed when pg ladies and new borns meet up. so glad my study days are over. But if I won the lottery I would love to do a phd in genetics or immunology. Shame I think my brain is shrinking with each baby!

has anyone heard from lavender-lime lately? I do love her blog and her business is so cute!
Little miss, lovely to see u again...good you are so excited for the baby!
Charlie, the washer thing would drive me bonkers....and I am sure once you meet the baby, things will hopefully click into place....pg is so hard because of the all hormones too! I've been driving myself crazy the last few days, just got real sad about some real life money issues, and it's so easy to get emotionally crazy during pg, I just have to remind msyelf that things are not so bad as they seem....also I tried CBT for my panic atacks and found it very unhelpful...things like "just get on the interstate" (when I'm afriad of them) just don't cut it for me. I wanted more tactics or more ways to stay "calm" and all he said is the only cure for panic attacks is to face the fear directly, well I get that on a logical level, but in my panic attack state, I'm not sure that's really going to matter! I hear you about therapy...it can be good, but sometimes the therapists are NOT "hearing" us, and what we're actaully saying....

Lol maybe mines shrinking for sure! I wonder if a year out of study will make it worse lol! Funny u say that about biology etc as I have been looking at molecular biology and genetics as an option, then I could go into embryology and infertility etc
Deaks weathers due to get bad again :( its doing my head in lol,
Lmw I'm so so pleased you are excited to meet your little man!!! Have u got any names for him yet?
I went to my maternity unit today for the official opening, the queen opened it :)

I almost went for a job as a nurse in fertliity a few years back, was a research post, but ended up pg with ds2! My best friend is a fertility/reproductive health nurse and has a fab fab job in london now. It sounds great....always said once ds2 at school I'd do something like that since I started at uni doing midwifery after school and ended up as a general nurse realising their was no jobs late 1990's for midwives in scotland. The girls that did do it now live in england, one was on OBEM!!!! That was odd. Not up for it now, a wee district nursing job would be great or practice nurse in the future.Nursing ain't what it used to be and would LOVE to be a travel agent, shame I wouldn't get paid what I do for doing 2 nights per wk.
anyone seen BB, what load of crap! I used to love it!!
