Hello all, popping in to introduce myself! My name is Caz, I have posted in othe clomid groups too so sorry if you see same message, I'm just looking for support a buddy who has been or is going through the same thing!
after months of failed attempts to get pregnant my husband and I sort out private fertility treatment.
If everything is ok with my hubby on Tuesday, on Friday I take provea (hope I spelt correctly) to induce a period then start clomid on cd2.
any advice you ladies can give me would greatly be appreciated!
Is there anything I can do to increase the chance of clomid working 1st time around? Is there anything else I need to know about?
I'm so nervous!
Hi Caz,
Are you swaying for a girl or a boy or are you just trying to get pregnant? Generally the best chance to get pregnant is to have plenty of attempts in the fertile window and also you can use preseed to help if you are lacking in EWCM. The only issue is that is very boy friendly so if you are trying for a girl you may want to keep it to one or two attempts.
Good luck! I took provera to bring on my AF when ttc my first. I then conceived him on the first clomid cycle (50mg cd5-9) so it can happen!!
Hi Thankyou for your reply!
I would really love a girl so am swaying for a girl and have been since April 2015, but every time I tried something on the girl sway something crops up. I did spoil myself over xmas and new year, but putting that aside I have been trying to eat healthy as possible, lose weight which I have lost over 10kgs since April, the only sups I'm taking now are: folic acid, cinnamon, cranberry, calcium and magnesium.
My diet has been mostly brown bread, rice, natural youghurt, pasta and chicken, grapes, strawberries when I can as I don't like them, cucumber broccoli, peppers and some sweets on cheat days, organic milk.
We were bding every 3-4days until I found out I had PCOS and the in sept our GP told us to bd every other day. Now finding out I start clomid next week i feel it's all been thrown out the window again I now have so many sway questions, don't know where to start again, should I carry on BD every other day should I go back to every 3-4 days, should the hubby realise every day or just BD every 3-4days?
I would probably drop the calcium and magnesium as they aren't really recommended here for girl sway. I'm also not sure if cranberry is still recommended. I would check if it is ok with clomid.
I personally wouldn't do every 2 days straight away as it is quite blue friendly (that's how I got both my boys but there were other factors too!). Will you be getting monitored with ultrasounds? I would really try to get an attempt in at OPK+.
