Due Sept/Oct/Nov 2017 (4)

So my uterus finally centered itself! It is no longer lopsided lol. Still no bump here just fluff. I'm feeling alot of wetness down there, is this normal? I don't typically have discharge when I'm preggo. Wetness started yesterday after some brown discharge (freaked me out!) and it doesn't smell like amniotic fluid. Baby isn't as active today although still moving.... isn't the mucous plug already made? I'm worried.

I've gone through incredible amounts of stress this pregnancy.. I'm moving again today as we speak so I hope some peace comes from the move. So of course I'm worried about the baby and how stress has affected him/her.

Yessss, same here Cosmo. It's just an annoying pregnancy symptom. I change underwear many times a day just to feel comfortable.
It's very normal!

I cried when I got into my car and then I picked up my youngest from my mums house and she cried but then said she was delighted and at least the baby is healthy! But i could see rhe dissappointment in her eyes .. which hurt!! Before the tech checked she asked me what did I think it was and I said boy and she said your right a mothers instinct is always right! I'm upset I'll never have that mother daughter bond ... I really did everything I could have sway wise, it just wasn't meant to be. And we are totally stretching ourselves with 4, I don't know how were going to cope 😢 a tiny part of me really thought it was a girl ... I just feel hopeless, disappointed, hurt, angry all at the same time and I feel bad about it.

I know this is awful but I'm just not excited about the birth, about rearing another boy .. about getting the old baby clothes down, the sleepless nights, teething, going through all of this again and just feeling dissappointment! The look of pity on people's faces or feeling sorry for you dragging 4 boys around, I just feel so deflated and regret I ever started this journey to begin with.

I totally understand u feeling this way though so don't feel bad although that's hard Aswell .
I hope u manage to come round by the time he arrives here - it will be exciting all the new bits again when he's here it's just now u can't see it - totally be upset though and cry and let it all out in anyway u can as bottling it up won't do any good and may lead down a dangerous path to depression so just look at your boys and know u will raise another perfect son .
Although no more children are on the cards for u I hope u somehow fill the void for that mum - daughter bond u wanted xxx

Amelia10- What helped my DH each time we heard boy was to buy cute boy clothes. My DH is normally not into that sort of thing, but he said while he wouldn't normally justify doing that, he needed to in order to become excited about having another boy. It's absolutely normal to not be excited about all that is to come yet. I agree with BB and just give yourself this time until he's here to allow yourself to feel all you need to. When he's here, you WILL be in a better place even though right now it feels so far out of reach. What I do want to ask of you, if I may, is to keep sharing your feeling with us or anyone you trust IRL so you can keep processing things. Don't try and bottle things up or suck it up yet- my DH did that with our DS2 and it took until he was 6mo old for him to be able to bond with him [emoji20]. It was really bad, and I don't want that for you. Know we all care about you, even if you are struggling with your thoughts and feelings, we will be here to help.

Amelia - HUGS!!!! I know the feeling you are going through. I had them last time with DS4. I was very upset and distraught about my 4th boy. I will tell you that he is an absolute joy and a terror all at once. He is absolutely what our family needed. Let your feeling out and try not to feel guilty about any of it. What you are feeling is normal and expected in our situations.
I have to tell you that now I LOVE telling people we have 4 kids and then I tell them all boys. It is so funny to see people's reaction. I love my family and the way God made it. So I let the comments and other people's perspective go in one ear and out the other. Yes, it is tiring, but I would not change it for the world.
Honestly, I am NOT looking forward to the newborn, exhausted, sleepless crazy nights either. I am not fond of how I am in those first few months, but I am looking forward to the years ahead with my family of 5! Hang in there and absolutely tell us how you are doing. We love to hear the good and the bad.
We all love you and want to help in any way we can.

Oh girls all your messages have made me cry AGAIN.. such lovely support from all of you and it's made me feel a little bit better! I'm glad I have this time before the baby comes to try and accept it and process all my thoughts and realise there's not allot I can do to change it! I feel like it isn't real and I'm kind of like in a haze/dream. My husband isn't one bit disappointed and thinks it's great and unique in a way and what's meant to be is meant to be so his attitude helps! Amelia, I definitely decided to tell people that this baby is a boy right away. When we accidentally found out with DS2 we kept the ruse up that we didn't know, but with this one we didn't want to put up with "Oh I hope it's a girl" any longer than we had to.

Hmmm. I would wait to tell people what you're having until you have come to terms with it yourself. People, no matter how good they are, say stupid things that they don't always realize are hurtful. Especially the all boy comments [emoji849][emoji35]. Unless you know that they will for sure be kind and supportive.

Don't tell people until you are strong enough to be able to defend them. Your children are beautiful and amazing just how they are. They are NOT defined by their gender! You have the privilege of being able to raise outstanding men! That is no simple feat but one that is an honor and is much needed in this world!

Maybe I'll wait until I've accepted my faith and I'm longer gone to make it a bit easier, my 3 boys are running around here which is great distraction! I've a feeling this is going to take a long time for me to come to terms with!

What I haven't told any of ye ladies and which makes all of this extra hard is the fact that I had a sister who died when she was 5 months old and I've no other sisters! God acts In mysterious ways .. 💔

Ah I'm sorry Amelia, I understand the overwhelm when you go through so much to get a specific thing and really what you expected doesn't happen. That's so hard.

I have 4 boys, and I'd have a cleaner, more quiet house for SURE with less boys, though whoever said they carry their Mom's in their hearts were really right. Two of my boys are teenagers, and they are my (crazy making) heart defenders. It's so sweet to see that. I cried about something the other day and it made my oldest (almost 15) tear up. Aww.

When you announce it, I would do it with great sure-ness so it cuts down on stupid comments "THRILLED for a great big bunch of busy, wonderful boys. Join us in celebrating" or something like that.

Aww Amelia I am so sorry about the loss of your sister. I can't even imagine what you are going through right now. I know that as soon as this little boy comes you will be so in love. Take the time you need to heal from this inside . I am sorry you had to go through the look of disappointment too. Your sway was great! You did the best you could. I feel like I'm still excited for the actual small human, but the idea of preparing is just incredibly boring. Everything that's even remotely my style is just a slight variation on something the other two boys had. I'm just so bored of blue and monkeys and trucks.

You know what I always think....just because those of us end up having girls after boys....there is no guarantee that the idea of mother daughter will live up to our expectations....

As much as it's said...(and yes I hate hearing it myself) ...the way the world is today....we are blessed that we have a healthy baby....and a happy one..

My mother in law has 2 kids boy and girl...and she has no real bond with her daughter.....just my husband....

Who knows how life turns out for us....especially when we have adult kids....we just have to keep fingers crossed ....regardless boy or girl....

And I really hope you don't get judgement....there is a reason boy mums bond so well together.....xxx

I just want to pop on and give big hugs Amelia (and all of you!) and echo what flomama said. I had a great, easy childhood, my mom was loving and kind, we did all sorts of family vacations, she was at my events, etc. However, we're just opposite personalities, hobbies and interests. My MIL and I are two peas in a pod (she only has 2 boys). We go shopping almost every weekend, we email basically daily, we get our hair done, text, go to craft shows, etc. My mom is my mom, but my MIL is like that best friend bond people picture daughters/mothers having. Like I said, my mom is phenomenal too, we just are opposites. It's just funny how that works out. ❤️ I hope you take all the time you need - what a blessing with 3 little boys! Today is the BIG day! I think we will have them write it on a card though and open at the right time. I have a lot going on with my business right now and do not want any distractions. Plus it'll take the pressure off of the ultrasound. I'll be able to just enjoy it... hopefully. It would be totally fine with me if it's a boy and he just decides to show us lol. Wow that is crazy! It's actually my dog's name- I love it and we got her long before we thought about having kids so I used my favorite name on my dog haha. So beautiful!

Thanks so much everyone, I wish one of you lived close by in Ireland so I could come have a proper chat and some hugs!!!

Today wasn't as bad but still bad, the bad thoughts kept entering my head and bouts of anxiety in the pit of my stomach! I told my husband I didn't want to be pregnant anymore and he was like u will feel sooo different when the baby arrives!

I tried to distract myself as much as possible out playing football with my boys and getting extra hugs all day off them but that panicky/anxiety feeling kept returning.

Please God I can accept this little baby as time passes, I don't care what other people think it's all about being happy within myself and my situation and making the best of my situation. Life is too short really! Xx

I'm so sorry that this isn't your girl (((HUGS))) and in time I know you will make peace with having a 4th boy. I truly sorry to hear about your sister. Just know that we are hear for you!!! This is a judgment free zone :happy: My MIL has only 4 boys too and they love her dearly.

So we saw baby!!! Looks healthy and great. They wrote the gender down on a card and sealed it... trying to decide if we open or not. I didn't see any resemblance of boy parts throughout the ultrasound, and of course, I turned my head when she checked the bladder and such. Eek what should I do?!! I know it's very soon, but just know that growing up as 1 of 3 girls, it was a wonderful experience that still is so special. We all live in different states but remain very close. There is nothing like it. My mom is very spoiled by us as well.

And thank you everyone. My heart is broken and I can't stop crying except for when I'm asleep. I just really felt God saying we would have a son... and I can't imagine trying again... four babies and ending up with more girls... that would be a nightmare. I'm trying to trust Him right now and understand what i did wrong... you'd think by the third time I wouldn't still cry and expect something else. I did hit the next level of leadership in my business though... it's like God is still saying "I see you... I care about your heart and those dreams. I promise." [emoji24]
