Sky-meant to answer your question. My mom knows, but not telling anyone else until we know gender-so that'll be around 10/11 weeks towards the end of July. Anyone know how long it takes to get results back from materniT21?

Y'all - I just bought sooooo many used/second hand maternity clothes [emoji85] I just got so excited!! My wondfo line is now officially as dark as control line - forgot to post picture. I actually went for a quick jog this AM. I know it's silly but I still get nervous every now and then bc I'm not feeling as nauseous as I did last time. But, the voice of reason kicks in and 1) only 5 weeks 2)every pregnancy is different [emoji854]
Kat-yay post the pic! Can you believe I didn't test today? May even make it to Monday without testing since we have family in our house!! Yay for maternity clothes!! Def early, so try not to let the worries get to you! Yep, every pregnancy is diff, so you may not even get bad MS at all! And 8/10 business days...eek that's just SO long to wait!!!!
So-is it bad that I haven't even had my 1st appt & staged my baby announcement pic today lol....which I won't be showing to fam/friends for a very long time haha.

Haha Kat...so I did a before pic, then I did the outcome for either way, but of course I hope I use the girlie one lol [emoji175]Do you have any ideas for telling your family? We get together a lot during the summer for holidays & bdays, but don't think we have any family plans later in July...so may just text them my special announcement pic, but tell all of our parents in person or on FaceTime. DH's fam lives about 10 hrs away.
Lola on their web site it says 1-2 weeks. Guess we will be finding out gender around the same time. I think we're going to go ahead and tell everyone since Ill def be showing by then.

Ok so we were in a museum when the dr office called (I wasn't expecting it so soon) to schedule my nuchal scan. I missed the call and they called after the phones were already off for the weekend [emoji52]. So I'll call back Monday to make the appointment. My question is when is the nub theory good? Like I want to go soon to have the appointment because I want to see baby again but I don't want to go to early I think my ob says between 11-13weeks

Nub should be as close to or after 13w to be the most accurate.

Ash nub theory can be very accurate especially between between 13-14 weeks as shann said and if you get a really good shot. Most u/s techs have heard of the theory so you may get one willing to go to the extra effort to get a good nub shot if you ask :)
Sky I have only just told my mum 😂😂😂 I don't know how I thought I couldn't 😂😂 she asked if I was done with the baby thing and I ended up just telling her. BUT I told her about my ob wanting me to come back next week and that it's probably bad news so not to get excited about the idea..... we've agreed not to discuss it any further until my appointment :)

Ash - last pregnancy I got one at 12 weeks and they looked at the potty area and told me 85% girl. She obviously was. I think it depends on how friendly the technician is. Exciting though!
Kat I'm not usually so lucky to get an awesome tech at this place. My ob hospital doesn't do it so I have to drive a couple hours away. Last two times I asked for a potty shot I didn't know about nub theory but they were pretty snippy and wouldn't even humor me. I'll for sure be trying again

I am so close to everyone both dh and my side. I just don't know how they would react when I tell them in 8 weeks. [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12] But to be fair, it's just my way of protecting them. Well, DH told his Mom today who can't keep a secret [emoji849] I swear he is such a Mommy's boy [emoji23] I'm still planning to wait. I have some cramping today and I'm worried even though the last thing my nurse said to me was everything is going to feel more and hurt worse since this is your third!! Ugh, I'm usually not this much of a worry wort [emoji1374] Just feel this is too good to be true!

Kat-I know what you mean! For some reason, I feel more worried this time too. For DS2, I remember saying to my OB, "everything went so well with DS1, can everything be just as smooth with DS2?" My OB said "absolutely it can" and that's what I'm trying to tell myself this time!
Lolla - I have been doing ok too. Bloating has gone down and all other discomforts have subsided. Now I don't feel pregnant [emoji51][emoji51] n I can't stop worrying every now and then. I never had ms with dd. So I don't know what it feels like too. I realized that I get the sick feeling if I eat a lot at once so I m trying to eat healthy mostly [emoji12]and move around a lot and I m so busy these days anyway.
Kat - I loved the water with my last pregnancy and iced water was the best. Not yet this time so far.
My dh is also the same. He didn't have a good long conversation with his mom in a few weeks and I am feeling hopeful for the same for 3 more weeks. Long shot though. It's hard for him to keep it to him only with his mom. [emoji4]

Sky-you may be lucky & not have MS this time. I know plenty of people who never felt sick & had perfectly healthy pregnancies! And ice water-yes!!! Loved chewing ice during both pregnancies!!!

Kat-beautiful lines to wake up to!!!! Can June 28th hurry up & get here already??!! Ready for you to kick off the appts!!! I was just getting on here to delete the pics. I'm praying so hard that I get to use the girl one! No one even knows that we were ttc or expecting now, but I already feel like my family would say "told ya so" if it turns out to be a boy. I know you can totally relate to that feeling (with your girls of course). You should totally copy the idea! I sort of want to send the first one with ??? to my brothers and SILs, let them stew on it, but already know the answer to send soon after. DH's sister, husband & 3 kids are here & it's so tempting to tell them, BUT keeping the secret for now!
Also, sent the pics to myself & deleted them from my phone pics so that none of my friends/fam see them by accident. I was at a work training recently & a coworker said she wanted to see a pic of my boys & uhhhh I had all of those hpt pics on my phone. I had to pretend I left my phone in the car, deleted all the pics, then on the break told her I had my phone lol.
Lola ya my youngest is light blonde and my third is now that it's summer swim time. The older two are a tad darker but they all look just like daddy none look like me [emoji849]. Maybe we can have a brown hair blue eyed little girl that looks like mommy! I think for our Facebook announcement we're going to the zoo today and I'm going to have the boys hold the ultrasound pic next to the monkeys and have it captioned "adding one more monkey to our clan" [emoji23][emoji12] cheesy but it works

Ash-I love it!! I wanna see your announcement once you take it!! Maybe your lil girlie will be your mini-me! Dark hair with blue eyes-sooo pretty!! Always nice to have one mini-me :) Everyone says that DS1 looks like DH & DS2 looks like me...but my hair is dark blonde these days. My dd looks just like me but she is a daddy's girl n will anyway pick him over me and being the mom, I am always trying to teach her the right things and make sure she has enough classes to go to and just basically making sure that I make her a strong independent person and daddy only worries about spoiling her which kind of balances it all but I want a boy so bad because I have seen how boys are so clingy to their moms and just love mom's more than dad and I want to experience that. To have dh be his teacher and I be his love and spoil him. When I lay in bed every night, I can picture everyone's reaction if it's another girl since we have so many girls in the family. Dh says he will be more thrilled if it's a girl and I guess I will be a bit sad but may be will be fine later. But I will be more disturbed with the comments of the extended family. I think we all feel the same sky about finding out gender. It does worry me that dd would be more attached to dh which is why I'm ok with another boy but my extended family will also have smarty comments if it's another boy.
But I do agree boys are for sure mommy lovers they always run to you when they're hurt to sad not daddy. I do hope you get your ds so you can experience the closeness [emoji170]

Sky-I absolutely feel the same way and in no way shape or form do you sound like a horrible person for speaking your mind! Many of us are thinking the same thing!!! We do want our girlies so bad, but thanks for pointing out the positives. Boys def do Looooove their mommas!!! Both of mine are clingy, but especially DS2-he's a major "clingon" lol. DH says I spoil them too much, but I say there's nothing wrong with loving them too much!
