Shann the answer to your question from me at least is .... yes !
I can go 12 hours or more without eating a thing that's how i unfortunately trained my body to live through my crazy study and training/job life. So i felt like i was stuffing my self on the HE diet. I wasnt ever a big eater. Just 3 meals a day small portions and no sweets at ALL. We dont buy sweets or cook sweets at my house. Its all salty and very spicy cooking 😊

B4 the HE diet my daily calore intake came up to a lonesome 700 to 900 a day honestly and that's when i realised how poorly i ate. So eating 2000 calorie on HE nearly killed me ! 😂

I don't eat massive amounts of food and I'm naturally thin and light weight (105 lbs) but I am a total snacker. I prefer to eat in small portions more often throughout the day than just a few big meals or even large portions. My caloric intake has never been that high but the quality of food I eat is high nutrition normally. The LE diet was hard for me but I got into the swing of it and became accustomed to being just about a vegetarian. I was on it for just about 9 weeks. There certainly isn't a perfect science to it.

I agree with the snacking swaying boy. I pretty much snacked all day. The only one I didn't snack with was my daughter. It was hard at first because I have a fast metabolism which is why I would snack. But before trying for my daughter i buckled down on everything and lost weight becasuse of it. And this time before getting pregnant I wasn't doing everything the same but I was eating only one meal a day and would have maybe 1 snack sometimes none. So we will see if it holds true for me this time.
Yes i think snacking is what keeps blood glucose in a steady state and makes the difference

Dreaming-very similar to you! I've always been a vegetarian and ate healthy foods, just not a lot of it...low fat, low cal, but ate small portions throughout the day. Salads, veggies, fruits, oatmeal, dry cereal...but cookies & chips sometimes too [emoji12](usually baked chips though). Skipping breakfast was the hardest!
Shannon - yes as a natural girl mom I can just eat one cookie [emoji51] I think waaay too much about what I eat - I actually like feeling a tad hungry and love the energy I get from caffeine/coffee so would drink it all morning. I've always eaten breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up so I'm surprised at all the girl swayers skipping breakfast. The HE diet was hard for me bc I felt full all the time. I do like red meat but only usually eat it once a week, but eating it everyday wasn't that hard for me. And I liked snacking before dinner, I just don't usually allow myself to. One of my concerns about my boy sway is I'd go from 7:30ish at night until 6/6:30 ish the next morning without eating and I don't know if that was too long. We just usually go to bed early 9ish and I just didn't/couldn't eat right before getting in bed.
Ash - I was thinking tonight as I was eating ice cream [emoji23] your aversion to sweets reminds me of my first 2 pregnancies. I have a bad sweet tooth but they made me sick on both my girl pregnancies. This one could be a girl too obviously but I'm liking sweets[emoji12]

I don't yet, but I hope to in 12-18mo. I want to see how this little girl is and how she changes (If at all!!) our family dynamics! I do make small batches for family, friends, and colleagues.
I just finished my final formulation for my nipple butter tonight [emoji16][emoji1303]!! This is fun for me, a way to help people, and put my chemistry degree to use!!

Kat I think that's fine I usually only have dinner and nothing else the rest of the evening and we eat around 5:30-6. And as a result I have 4 boys!

Same here Kat. I would go quite some time between dinner and breakfast the next morning. And breakfast was usually late morning anyway and light. I'm not sold on the no breakfast thing as much as the regular food intake by snacking.

Wowwww Ash I am so happy for you :) Finally its going to be your little girl. I always felt that you will have baby girl this time. Congrtulationssssssssssssss.
Okay Who are experiencing baby movement? and when it started? from which week?
who start early movement? Baby boy or baby girl?
Kat on the subject of tummies poking out refer pic attached 😂 my ob said it's trapped gas as the uterus is still way down near the pelvic bone but I definitely look pregnant even if its with a 'gas' baby! I've had the same weight for my last three ob appts so at least I know its not a food baby ☺https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9a294db66f.jpg

Sumbal I think I remember feeling 'flutters' and 'bubbles' with ds2 from around 14 weeks? Ds1 I was clueless and don't recall feeling movement until 20 weeks'ish 🤔

I've been feeling real movement this week and I'm turning 17 weeks tomorrow!

Hi ladies, hope everyone has been well and healthy.
Does anyone know any genders yet? I have tonlive vicariously through you seeing as hubby is making us go team green.
I've been feeling obvious movement since about 15 weeks, flutters from about 13 weeks.
Pbn - I'm sure some of mine is gas/poop [emoji85]too!! This morning my pants fit so that's good [emoji23] I'm sure I'll be wanting to unbutton this afternoon though [emoji23] I just find myself so excited about this pregnancy like I'm still in shock I get to have another baby!! Just grateful today [emoji5]

movements have been different with all mine, 1st was 14 weeks, 2nd-5th were all between 16-22 weeks, 6th was the earliest at 8 weeks and not had anything yet this time so im guessing it'll be around 20 weeks again.
snacking is key for boys imo, i hardly ever ate meals when i had my boys but just picked at food here and there starting from dinner time, i havnt eaten breakfast since i was about 8 years old cant stand eating first thing in the morning.
Hope everyone is well! I'm trying to keep up with this thread and the TTC thread and struggling a bit.
I saw my ob today and I'm only 4.5 weeks and he scanned on the outside (reassuring me that he wouldn't see anything), but he did see the sac. Didn't bother with an internal, but I'm going back in two weeks. My HCG has been:
14dpo: 277
16dpo: 832
Do you think these levels are high? Does anyone beleive in high HCG meaning girl?
I'm thinking boy now, as I have two boys and the reason I went to the ob today was because I had a D&C last cycle for a blighted ovum. The cells showed it was a boy.
So glad he could see the sac this time Iwant4kids you have a great ob mine wouldn't have even attempted! When will you get another scan? I think I've read somewhere on here it's been somewhat proven high means girl.... or maybe I read it's not been proven at all [emoji23] sorry not much help

IWant - I've read somewhere that higher hcg means girl but not sure if it's true!

The high HCG is an OWT. But praying it holds true for you!
If you type in high hcg related to gender studies you will find a bunch of different studies that have found higher hcg in more pregnancies resulting in female then male. But it's not 100% of the time that it happens that way though. Higher hcg usually causes more severe morning sickness to. Not always but studies have shown a correlation. I also found many studies on this as well. It may be an old wives tale but there is some scientific proof to back it up anyway even if it isn't always 100% of the time.
I had CRAZY high HCG levels with my DS3. My Beta at 21dpo was 23,000 and something!!! They were convinced I was off on my dates (I wasn't!!) or we had multiples (we didn't!!). I was SO sick! I had a scan 1.5 weeks later due to spotting and there was only one baby and one sac!!
This pregnancy started off as twins with high HCG levels- not near as high as with my DS3, and we are having a girl.

Ok so when you ladies see the name Mila what first comes to mind? I want it to look like mee-lah but not sure everyone will think that with first glance
[emoji170](07) [emoji170](09) [emoji170](14)[emoji170](15) 🤰 and dreaming [emoji177](18)
I thought Mila with a long I sound from the way it looked. But however you pronounce it over time I am sure people will become use to saying it the way you are saying it.
That's what I was afraid of. I don't know how to spell it to make it sound the way I want it to. I don't like meelah looks gross [emoji23]

I haven't had the time to read all updates & will have to go back later. Just wanted to pop in...
Ash-I definitely thought "mee-lah" b/c I think of the actress Mila Kunis who's gorgeous!!!
Yes Lola just like that! We're now stuck between 3 names rather than just one. Each one has meaning to us so I guess if we hear girl we will wait to see what she looks like
[emoji170](07) [emoji170](09) [emoji170](14)[emoji170](15) 🤰 and dreaming [emoji177](18)
How about Meila makes the e sound long and looks like it sounds long and the a as the ah sound. It looks pretty close to what you were going for and its pronounced exactly the same as mee-lah I checked on the pronunciation dictionary on the internet.
Meila is a nice suggestion too. Honestly though, I believe if you just tell people how Mila is pronounced, it won't be a big deal [emoji175]
I do like meila [emoji177] thanks ladies I knew I could count on y'all!
[emoji170](07) [emoji170](09) [emoji170](14)[emoji170](15) 🤰 and dreaming [emoji177](18)
There's also the beautiful actress Milla Jovovich, also pronounced "mee-lah," but I think that's easier to confuse.
Yes! Ok the story behind this name. We lived in Baton Rouge, LA for a while for dh work and we met a lovely couple there and their daughters name was Mila and I recently told the husband we've always held onto the name Mila since our stay in LA it would just remind us of the lovely time and friends we have there. And he said well actually it's spelled Milla after the actress Milla Jovovich. So that's how they spell theirs but I figure it still has the same meaning to us no matter how we spell it

Had to have a filling done today and I must say the numbing medicine has made my stomach do flips every since! Right afterwards and now even when it's wearing off.
Ash - Love that name no matter how you spell it!
Ash I thought Mila as in Myla but love the suggestion of Meila!
