Hiya. Please excuse my ignorance but does it matter what side u ovulated from? Does one side sway pink/blue?

Pbn - Yea I had a flashing smiley this morning on the dual opk but took a regular clear blue at 2:45 pm and it was positive. The cycles that I've done both the dual & regular OPKs, I have gotten a solid smiley in the morning followed by a positive regular Clear Blue that afternoon. Since I had a flashing this morning I assumed the afternoon one would be negative - but not this time!!! Grrrrr I was so sure first positive wasn't going to be until tomorrow morning and then plan was we'd BD again tomorrow night - approx 80+ hours after the first attempt. Why is my plan always thrown off?!!!!
And of course I fear if I wait too long, this will be the cycle where I ovulate much sooner after surge :( I don't think we'll BD tonight though.
ABC! So exciting!! And your ultrasound is tomorrow, I’m all excited for you over here!
It probably means nothing, but I had a giant zit on my left jaw around O and had sharp O pains on the right.

Tp you are not silly to hope, not at all (hugs xxoo) I still think your RE needs a swift kick in the bum for being so lax though. Can you change and see someone else?

Dreaming, no it doesn't. The myth is that if you ovulate from the left you'll have a girl and a boy from the right. It's been proven wrong time and time again. Treat it like the Chinese gender predictor, a bit of fun only and completely inaccurate [emoji16]

Sorry to hear you're out Backtoschool and I hope next cycle gives you your bfp [emoji3]
BBB that's great news you can ring the nurse for results! How long will you wait after the test to ring her?
Hi and welcome Psalms!!! Tell us abit about yourself! Swaying? Pink or blue? Are you using opks to time your attempt/s?

Abc I think of it like this. If you had a flashing smiley this morning but a pos on your afternoon regular digi then that indicates to me you're right at the very start of your surge. You'd have to be super unlucky to o by tomorrow afternoon especially with your history of what seems to be delayed o after pos opk. Ultimately it's up to you whether you bd in fear of missing your window BUT if you do and your u/s results indicate o is still a day or two away you will definately end up with more than one attempt trying to nail the timing to maximise conception odds. If you wait until tomorrow and haven't bded then you can time yor attempt for best conception odds but still only have the one. Getting an u/s is a godsend!!! It will help so much with any future cycles too (not that there will be any [emoji6]) Hang in there!!! What time is your u/s at? Or better yet tell me how many more hours so I can work it out in my timezone :)

Pbn - that makes sense. I'm at the gym right now trying to get rid of my ttc stress :-) When I get home I'm going to try another CB regular opk (at 7:30/8 pm). I'm hoping it & my tomorrow morning opk's are still positive. I seem to have a pretty short surge though so I guess that's also what makes me nervous. But, you're right that my history shows that short surge or not, I still have a delayed O after surge. Hope that applies this time!
I had DH release late afternoon today so def no BD tonight. I'm going to try to hold out and see what the u/s shows and then go from there. It's at 11 am - 16 hours from now!!
When I had an u/s 2 cycles ago when I was doing the fertility tests, I had it on the day I got an afternoon +opk. On that day my follicle was only 19 mm - so still a bit early for O. Maybe I'm just someone who surges well in advance of O?

Ok so that will be 6am'ish tomorrow morning for me [emoji3] yay I'll be awake and ready to hear all about your scan!!! Cant wait! And your plan sounds great! Hopefully the clomid shortens the distance between surge and o this time but not too much [emoji6] I cant wait to hear that you've been told to bd the night of scan as you'll o sometime the next day to day and a half!! That's my hope and my prediction [emoji109] and I'm rolling all those thoughts and positive thinking into a ball and sending it your way now [emoji173]

ABC hope all went well!!
I’m 3dpo today, too early for synptoms I know! But keep getting a shooting pain in my cervix! Never had it before so I’m being silly and getting my hopes up! It’s probably my endometriosis but I’m feeling so eager to conceive before Christmas :(
Girlsway I had that shooting pain SO much with my youngest son. Fx its a good sign for you!! I’m either 5 or 8 dpo, and we are going out of town to visit family tomorrow, and I’m trying to decide if I should bring tests with me or just wait...

Hello all, I’m a few days in to the 2ww. This is my first cycle of seriously trying (meaning that this Month I’ve been using OPKs, BBT). I have never been pregnant before. This wait is honestly so hard. I feel like I am obsessing daily and searching for symptoms. Lol I just wanted to say Hi and that I’m right here with y’all!

Hi Nonerz! Yes, it’s so easy to get sucked into ttc! When are you planning on testing?
[emoji170]10/2013 [emoji170]2/2016
Greydore really?! It’s litterally like a needle on my cervix!! Very bizzare! I’m thinking of buying a first response for the first time this month even though it pains me paying £10 when I usually get 30 for £3 on eBay lol!
Yes! I remember telling my husband that it felt like someone was using their nails and scratching my cervix. I know most love first response, but I always get evap lines with them, and one actually gave me a bfn when a dollar test gave me a BFP! So I’m just going to stick with the dollar tests this time and maybe splurge on a digital to confirm if I am pregnant.
[emoji170]10/2013 [emoji170]2/2016
Greydore thats EXACTLY what it feels like and it’s been going on all day! I just think 3dpo is too early to feel anything surely?
Welcome, Nonerz!!

Glad it's not just me symptom spotting [emoji23]
I went for my run last night and my kegals were not performing properly (sorry tmi!) And I was wondering if this was the muscles relaxing due to pregnancy ! Our mind goes to very odd places [emoji38]

Hi mtolbert! She posted in the ultrasound forum x
The right/left ovary girl/boy thing is definitely nonsense, I just thought it was interesting that a spot on your Chin could be connected to ovulation! So weird lol
IVe never heard of the right left ovary thing! Can’t hurt that I had a left spot this month though, eh? 😂

Went through our 3rd miscarriage after receiving a surprising BFP. Of all of the information that I read, the first cycle after a miscarriage was pretty awesome odds for conceiving a girl. So we thought, " let's just go for it." I'm due for AF today and had a faint positive on hcg this morning (2nd morning pee) So excited! Praying this one sticks and is our girl. [emoji7]
So now here is a question. Would you tell your SO or keep it a secret until a very fun Christmas present? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji847]

There is a bit to the left/right ovary thing according to atomic... She has talked about 1 study that was done where they followed women's ovulation patterns (which ovary they ovulated from) over a 3 cycle period, with conception on the third cycle. There was 1 particular 3 cycle pattern - L, L, R - where 75% of those women had boys. The other patterns they saw all had a closer to 50/50 boy/girl ratio. The right ovary is the dominant ovary in most women and atomic thinks that b/c your body may be more likely to ovulate from the right when the body is more "fertile"/ in better condition, if you're ovulating from the left and then suddenly switch to the right it might be a result of "improved" fertility. But obviously there are girls and boys conceived from both ovaries and many women ovulate mostly from the right and more pregnancies come from right sided ovulation. Because I fall into the trap of thinking about all the theories/OWT I'd like to conceive on a left ovary ovulation, but I think I mainly only ovulate from the right, so there you go. From what I've read, a lot of women will go for months or years ovulating from the same ovary rather than alternating back and forth, so definitely nothing you can control!
Anyways I'll find out what ovary I'm ovulating from this cycle in a few hours! The zit I had was sort of in the center of my chin, slightly to the right, but appears to be almost gone already! So strange - I'm sure it's a hormonal zit though.
Welcome hannah!!! Sorry about your miscarriage. So, you are currently on your first cycle after the miscarriage, and you got a faint bfp today? Exciting!!! As far as telling DH, I always tell him about 2 seconds after getting a BFP :) I have no patience and no way I could wait for weeks w/o telling him!! That's me though. It would be super fun though as a surprise Christmas present!!
Hannah post a picture! And I’m weird but I wait to tell my husband. I like to tell him in a cute way, and it’s weird but I kind of like being the only one knowing for a day or two :)
[emoji170]10/2013 [emoji170]2/2016
That’s so interesting abc, I’ll be taking notice from now on which side the pain is coming from just out of curiosity!
Very intetesteing.
I conceived last DD from right ovary. I just checked back thru my records and since the miscarrage I've been ovulating from the left side. If this cycle I am ovulating from the right (which I'll know tomorow after my scan) then it will mean I have a 75% chance of a boy according to this.... but that my fertility might have improved? I guess we will see!
Robin - well it was just one study & there are probably a lot more factors at play. Like I doubt the women in the study were actively swaying :) And who knows if any were being medically treated with Clomid which could affect things a whole other way.

Tech was NOT helpful but she said I have follicles on both sides measuring 25 mm!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh! Did I miss O already? Pbn should we BD right away??? DH works from home so I can him to take a lunch break haha!!! So worried I've missed it!!

Hopefully those bad boys drop soon bc those are beyond mature. My RE says 16 to 23 is mature anything more you start risking overmature eggs which are not as pliable for sperm to penetrate.
I would BD asap!!
Did they not do blood checks to see if you have an LE serge?
Also if you missed it.. you'd have no follicales seen on ultrasound so you still have time!
Get baby dancing abc!! :ballerina:
