sunset- with our situation i dont really think we would be able to afford it either. im glad i have age on my side so can obviously wait a lot longer and hopefully try to save etc. My dp also said he would proberbly ask for a loan off his mum if need be. we'll just have to wait to see what the future holds!

High tech is 6k ish at genesis. I do wonder about it but you have to be happy to try 3 times as that seems to be the amount of times to get the drugs right. Also have to be happy to come away with nothing which is why I didn't do it as I needed another baby. Dd would be a nice bonus now but I'm getting on at 37. It's really not a easy option but I might try it. Dh is not to keen but I don't know. Not sure it would work or if I want four kids. I want to go abroad every year and not live on the breadline. Evening ladies... my blood has simmered...although no contact from my MIL! Well till I got home and more drama from ds1 and this boy over the back from our house telling lies... he actually admitted lying last wk and he's at it again! My ds1 has had enough, it's so sad. He's such a laid back kid and so tolerant of other kids, but he's getting really angry at all this. I don't blame him, dh said he would of 'thumped' back him by now, but my ds1 says he has hit back, but only as a last resort if this boy is really hurting him. The boy told him today it's because my ds1 has been playing with his friend and he is jealous and told my ds1 NOT to play with him.... but this boy lies to his mum, blames my son, then when confronted/asked about what he said this boy stutters, makes up stories...then admits it's lies...can't his mum see thru him by now?? I would be mortified to be his mum (she's a friend of mine, which makes it difficult). Told my ds1 to stay clear of him as it only leads to heartache and trouble! The joys!!
For those of you considering High tech, I would of done it, no question! but could never afford it, so natural was my only hope. But GL if any of u do in the future!

Plus that money should go on my existing kids. Always aimed to give my kids more than I had growing up. I had to drive to uni in London then come home and work all night in a factory to fund my education. Amazing I never fell asleep at the wheel.

Sunset, I don't get comments when I am with the boys. But when I tell people I have a 9yr old they say "How? you only look early-mid twenties" did u have him young? No, I was almost 24! Other's say nothing and I think, ah well that's the 9yrs of nightshift finally catching up on my face!!! lol I hated being pg with him for the same reason, at 23 I looked young and wanted to shout at people staring at me and then my bump, that I was 23, a qualified nurse and not a teenage mum!!! My brother and gf had their son at 15 and 16 and it must of been so tough on my brothers gf at 15! if I had it at 23! Do think I don't look as young now, I am 32 and prob look late twenties, 30. So the looks are not as bad. Hated it tho! Maybe the pg hormones were taking over and as dh said she was making converstaion with u...have certainly experienced lots of hormones today too!! lol

We have snow! Yay! How exciting! I packed ds2 off to the childminders in his snow suit as he has a Christmas party at one of his groups today!
I'm off to the Disney shop with dp to see if you can get some good Xmas presents for ds2! He's a Disney whore lol
Yesterday I had a lovely day shopping and lunch with my sister, today more of the same but with dp!

I just went to the post office with the last of my ebay stuff and posted the most expensive one, getting home and realising it hadn't been paid for!!! DUH! Went to get it back and I'll loose my postage if it's not paid for by today!! at 5pm. So emailed her as the auction ended 2 days ago!! Will be so mad if she doesn't pay today and I loose my postage £2.16,know it's not much, but with ebay every penny counts!! What am I like!!

Hi ladies! I have a packet waiting for me at the delivery office. Unfortunately I was picking ds1 up from nursery when they came knocking on the door.. hoping it's my SS! :D exciting :D
I also went to midwife drop-in clinic this morning and my blood pressure was fine today so it must have been a one off. I had been rushing that morning to get to my appointment on time so perhaps that had something to do with it. I've got another midwife appointment on tuesday so hopefully my bp stays low :)
Inglewood ~ I don't have to be pregnant to get them sort of comments lol it's just for me to walk out the door with my boys lol. Usually I don't mind the comments and just brush them off, but every now and then there's some bitter old lady who has to make it sounds so negative to have 2 young children and be pregnant with my 3rd and that's what gets to me! I hate when people make it out to be a "chore". at the end of the day it was my choice to have 3 children and to have them close in age :)
I feel sorry for your with your ds and his friend situation.. can't be easy for your ds and very tricky for you since that boys mum is your friend.. ((hug))

And I agree with what u said, it's our choice and some people need to remember they were prob younger parents than we are now. Funny how yrs ago (that woman's generation!), you were a old mum mid twenties, then it was into 30's now older mum's are over 40! Funny how society changes. Like u, I don't care, I was a mum at 23, when I wanted to be and felt ready to be a mum! x
Just popping in opks seem to be fading in again phew! :) Do you ladies normally test 3 times a day in the lead up to O? I've only got 4 digitals left, I've ordered some more but they prob won't arrive until monday. Really don't want to miss the start of my surge but don't want to run out of digi's either! I don't temp and have no clue what my cm is doing as there isn't much. But would say it's a bit EW??
So think I might test with a cheapie after work and see how dark it is and then maybe test with a digi. Today is normally when I get a +OPk... but nothing is normal when your swaying is it!! lol

Inglewood ~ shame, i hope we both get some snow over christmas at least :) Unfortunately there are always going to be judgemental people out there and I always think to myself when people try and put my situation down and make it sound like something bad that that's clearly how they experienced parenthood and has nothing to do with me.. I just think it's sad that there are so many bitter people out there!
Inglewood ~ I only used the cheapie opk's and only tested 1 or twice a day over ov. Hopefully you'll get your +opk soon! :)
HUGS hun - answer is i didnt cope really lol - this pregnancy has been the hardest DH has been pulling his weight as much as possible but still the house is a tip, food and dinners are often takeouts and I try and nap whenever ds3 is napping. The hot water thing made a big difference to me THANKS inglewood I can still only drink hot cranberry oceanspray squash and sometimes a glass of tonic water....thats it! Cucumber helps a little, rich tea biscuits. Start taking fish oil - my colonic friend recommended this as my constipation got so bad i was only going once a week (sorry TMI) but since starting that it is much better x try and rest when possible xQuote:

We could never have afforded high tech and for me i dont think i could do it x i always believed my MC baby was a girl as my morning sickness was so so bad but who knows if I have another boy I will be gutted but I will be done so no more wondering and wishing will just get on with my crew :D
Schools out thankgod I HATE the school run in the winter it makes me want to cry lol luckily i have the car fridays as it was snowing this morning - melted now but still cold and wet. Roll on xmas now :D

I still have all my presents to wrap - DH is away on his work's Christmas do tomorrow night so it seems a good time to force myself to do it but I really hate doing it. I wish I had a wrapping fairy!!

Dp's so is visiting us this weekend, we have him from tonight till Monday evening, we won't see him again until well into the new year so it's our Christmas with him this weekend! Anyway a little history on his mum, Unfortunatly she has always been very against giving dp much time with his son, 1 night every 1st and 3rd weekend is all we were allowed, no extra during holidays and never over Christmas ever!
We it got too much and we took things to a solicitor and went through mediation to get more access, she didn't have a leg to stand on and was advised this by solicitors so we have come to a much better and fair agreement!
That was in October, fast forward to today, dp went to collect his son from her parents house, the ex and his son live 2 hours away from us and this weekend she came to visit her parents so it was the best thing to do this weekend.
He goes to pick him up and would you believe she sends him out with nothing but the clothes he was wearing! She's always been adamant we are not to buy him clothes, always sends him with a bag of clothes. Not today, no clothes, no coat, no gloves or hat, nothing! Bare in mind it's been snowing so she must have literally taken his coat etc off him and kept them at her parents!
I'm fuming I mean wtf is wrong with this nutter!? I can on imagine this is her way of getting a bit of control back but ffs I'm actually stunned!
She sounds like a nightmare!! Poor boy, it's him suffering (literally) with no clean clothes or a jkt!!! Did she think u would turn round and say, "well if he's no stuff with him then he can't stay?" Is she jealous of his new family (u guys?)
Oh kell that is sad. It's not fair to take the break up put on the kids. Do you have any thing in his size? If he's older then maybe just the basics cheap from eBay or tesco and keep then at your place. Your boys can have them when they are older. Hugs
Yes ivf is 6k each time but genesis will do a second round for 4k if the first round fails. I have seen very few one hits wonders on ig and I have been on there for about three years
Hello Ladies sorry i havent been on much, I always have so much to catch up on, this weekend is mad for us, tomorrow morning the boys room and living room are being decorated and then I also have a party from a music group I go to with ds3 and dd then from 4 we have a party for my friends 30th its a family party but I have baking and food to make and then sunday is just as busy with a rememberence meal for my grandad, children in a nativity at the carol service and well everything else I normally do, would all be easier if they had finished school but they finish on tuesday aarrrrgghhh feeling just slightly stressed!!!
I don't think it's a jealousy thing, the split up when tommy was less than a year old, he's nearly 7 now, she's married and has another child as well, I honestly think its because she's pissed off that we dared to go to solicitors for more access. She's always been awkward but this is a new low.

Kell that's just low, using her son to make a point, he must have been freezing!!! Well ladies, I have decided to hold off ttc till March (if not pregnant this cycle) lol. I know March onwards is best to sway so want to give it the best shot I can. DS1 starts school in september so don't want there to be any huge changes around that time. I'm so bad at rushing into things and then wishing I'd have given it more thought and the bigger the age gap the better. The only worry is that work hours drop and I can't then claim full maternity allowance but I'm going to have to chance that and keep my fingers crossed. Is anyone else waiting tillMarch? I need a waiting buddy!! Going to be so so hard to wait it out! Going to plan lots of lovely things to do with my boys in the meantime to appreciate only juggling 2 :-)
Kell, it must be so difficult. Dh's sister has a boy who is 13 from a prev relationship and his dad lives 2 hrs away. Every 2nd wkend his dad picks him up on a fri takes him to his and brings him back on a sun night. Been doing it for 9yrs! The dad phones and asks to 'swap' wkends and my SIL says ok (most times) but he won't swap his wkends. It drives my SIL mad, but she's kept her mouth shut about it to let them stay amicable, she is re-married and has a 7yr old girl and sometimes he doesn't want to go to his dad's as it's it's friend s b'day etc and his dad refuses to let him go to the party and take him the next wkend, which is a shame. His dad has re-married a woman with 3 kids and they now have a 1yr old baby, so dh's nephew doesn't even want to go that much now as what was 'his' bedroom for 9yrs is now his step-brother's and he has no time with his dad. He has told his dad all this, but he doesn't listen. Dh's nephew refused to go only twice last yr out of about 26 visits as he had football games etc with his friends and he's a runner with a club. Not beacuse he didn't want to see his dad. So his dad has got a solicitor involved, blaming my SIL when it's the boy not wanting to go due to other commitments,my SIL has always been fair, even when she's had to bite her lip about alot of stuff. So complicated and sad, and for ur DH to have to do that he must of really missed him and it's nice he gets to see his wee brother's, that's so impt too. I hope things get sorted. Sounds like ur the being the fair side to this situation and she's not, at least u can say ur are trying ur best! GL x

Went to have accupuncture this morning to help with the m/s, seems to have helped a bit, need to go back next week so hopefully I'll feel OK over Christmas. At least it was nice lying down relaxing without the boys for an hour!
I have a scan on Friday because of my previous losses. It will be a relief to see a healthy bean so praying it all goes well. I'm hoping they will be able to see enough as I will only be 7+2 or so weeks. Will put up a pg ticker if all goes well!

MIL saga continues... I sent her a sweet email thanking her for the boys xmas £ to buy gifts for them, talked about ds2 talking to my bump and general chit chat. Then reassured he the woman on FB did not know the sex etc.... I got this awful email saying how dare I blame her (which I haven't once blamed her for telling my older SIL) and how dare I email her and not phone...OMG!! Dh was going crazy! I told her I emailed as ds2 has an ear infection and I've been running about daft, dh working late and we are my bed early with tiredness!! Like I need the stress, so I called her and explained she had got the wrong end of the stick, I was simply reassuring her only Dh and I knew and it wasn't meant to sound nasty. Dh says it doesn't it's a nice email and she's just bitter that we won't tell her the sex and she's not centre of attention! I do get on with her, but this is out of order! She then admitted she DID tell my SIL she read that....so what the hell??? Might be an awkward visit at xmas this yr!!! Don't go till 27th as they live 2hrs away. We left the call ok, no cross words at all, but I thought NO u ain't getting away with this! She always creates a fuss when a baby is born, that she wasn't first to know the chosen names, she wasn't told every pg milestone first etc... she told dh she is annoyed he doesn't phone every 2wks after my scan to update, what's wrong with her calling us??? She hasn't vsited in over a year! we visit them and they can't be bothered to drive here (they admit that) and same if someone getting married she plays martyr! A selfsih, childish woman sometimes and a lovely kind the other. Dh says she wasn't a loving mum, just there and no more :(
Inglewood well done for ending it nicely, my OH's nan is a nightmare, really loud and opinionated and her view or her own families view is always the right way - and is conveniently deaf when someone voices their opinion! We've kind of distanced ourselves from the in laws on OH's side now as at the end of the day I didnt want that influence on our boys, although it is sad because I think the boys would like to see more of them and Im sure they will see the favouritism to their girl cousins but what can you do?! If your in laws wont make the effort to see you or travel to you then they have no right to get cranky when they dont know the ins and outs of everything, they cant have it both ways! We just learnt to let it all go now and stay away a bit more so when we do get together it is actually a nice occasion as we are all generally happy to spend a few hours together every couple of months lol.
Indigoviolet - didnt think of acupuncture or alternative therapies for m sickness, will remember that as I hate hate hate sickness! Glad its easing.
My turn for a moan lol. My OH has been a right nob tonight, he has basically been working overtime for the best part of this year, goes to work at 650am and 3 nights a week isnt home till 11pm, then its 5 or 6 pm Thursdays and same Fridays.
You would think he would miss time with the boys and prioritise them once home but its as if he just finds them a hassle and cant be bothered. I know if your tired it can be hard to pull out the patience and give your best but I do take them out at weekends so he can have a couple of hours of tv time but he is still a grump. Today DS1 was sick and ill this morning so after I got in from babysitting at 130am I got up at 7am with them and OH got up at 8am to help out. Then meand DS2 went shopping etc. for half a day and then in the pm too while DS1 just watched dvds and OH sat on his arse. Then at 5pm I chucked the boys tea in the oven and asked OH to dish up which he huffed and puffed about having to do, moaned I hadnt cooked him tea, but dished up the boys. So I start doing hand and foot prints with the boys for xmas pressies and leave the highchair. OH walks in, steps over the food on the floor. sits down and says 'pick up the food' Im like 'you what?' you do it, you just stepped over it and havent done anything all day. And he had a right strop about how I didnt tidy up dinner and how I havent cooked him tea and he has had to clean up ..................... seriously I could have got a pan and hit him on the head at this point!
Im sooooo mad, he needs a wake up call, he is going to do the food shop with me from now on, can wrap the pressies with me and can start meal planning for when he is home and start cooking and will start doing planned outings on the weekend. He is acting like a teenager, his Mum basically did everything and still does for the men and I am just not having that, aaargh!!

Inglewood ~ I can’t believe the family drama she’s creating! Does she really think this is something you should be stressing about? Clearly she wants to be centre of attention? My PIL never visit us and they live 5 min car drive away.. they expect us to always visit them and bring the kids on a silver plate for them every Sunday. Even if they’re in the area they will happily tell us about it, but not actually think to come by and knock on the door to see if we’re in. Same on weekends, if they’re out doing something they never think to invite us.. all they care about is that we come visit for 2 hours on a Sunday afternoon and then you can’t expect them to actually interact with the kids. They’re just trophies to them :(

AFM, been out this morning doing the last of the Christmas shopping :) i also went to the delivery office and picked up my secret santa packet! :D Thank you SS!!! I haven’t opened it yet but will wait until Christmas day, but i have to say Wow it’s so beautifully packaged!! Even the lady in the delivery office mentioned what a beautifully wrapped parcel :D
Sunset - he just doesnt say much, I think he actually thinks he should be able to do not do anything round the house, Ive let it slip, time to get the whip back out. I said to him dont push me too far as it will back fire on you and he kept on moaning - he likes to think we live in the 60's where the women look after the men and the house and kids - ummm, I work too! I childmind so can also look after our children so he should appreciate that I am able to bring in some money and look after our kids at home, and do some chores. I saw so many men out shopping today with their families or wives and it made me really cross that he reacted like that over me not doing the highchair when I was busy doing other stuff. He seems to have this thing about doing 1 thing at a time, get 1 toy out and put it back, put stuff away straight away or tidy before leaving .......... he has no idea how hectic my life is, I swear Im going to go off for a week and leave him the kids and a busy schedule and chores, make that 3 weeks for it to really sink in!
Our inlaws also live 5 mins up the road, we had a load of cards through the door today - they called past but didnt bother ringing the bell, although curtains were drawn so maybe they thought we were sleeping, but if they ever do visit us here they stay for 45 mins maximum!
My dad is a waster too, he came the other day after not seeing us for 4 months, no joke he walked in said hi, how are you, sat on the sofa for 3 minutes maximum then said right best go just wanted to show my face. The look on mine and my OH's face must have been a picture, he did that last time too and OH didnt believe me it was 4mins tops. What is up with families??? Do kids suddenly hit 18 and you just stop loving them or wanting to be in their lives? Its crazy!! My mum is fantastic though thank god xx

I just find it such a shame that DH's family chooses to treat the boys like trophies and my dh like the black sheep of the family.. my family obviously lives in sweden so my kids can't see them as often, but i know that if we lived in sweden or my mum lived over here she would make a real effort with the kids. I wish dh's parents would make an effort with the boys, but i've resigned myself to the simple fact that they like the "idea" of being grandparents but actually making the effort is a no go. unfortunately it puts a damper on our relationship with them and their relationship with the grandkids.
Chocolate, I'd of been so mad too, I must be so lucky as my DH is great around the house and with the kids. For all my MIL is alot of things, she has raised very independant children who can cook, clean etc... prob since she was never there, working lots of jobs when his dad walked out when he was 11. My only gripe with him is £! He doesn't take anything to do with the bills and doesn't understand why I stress out so much over them. God forbid I wasn't here, he wouldn't know where to begin! He gives his full wages to me for the family each wk, minus is cigarette money and lets me get on with it! My Dh usually cooks his own tea and the boys 2/3 times a wk as I rush out to nightshift! Your dh sounds overworked! Does he choose to do so much overtime? Could he cut back a bit to be at home more? I'm guessing u tell him how u feel?
My Eldest SIL hasn't been in my house for 2yrs, dh's twin hasn't been here for 4yrs (her dh beat her, so my dh wouldn't speak to him for 2yrs or let him in our house,so she never came either,they talk now, just).My BIL cane last mth for the 1st time in 2yrs and my MIL comes once a yr to pick up the boys and take them for 2 days, they all come and stay for 2hrs max, after a 2hr drive! My FIL is dh's step dad and a twat that admits he hates the drive thru and once a yr is enough, jeso, we have been going thru wit 2 young kids for yrs and yrs!!! And when we go they moan if we spend more time at 1 house over another and are looking for us to go to 4 different houses in 1 day, miles and miles apart, it's exhausting and we've done it for yrs (like 10!) and 2 of them have only been in my house once in 4yrs being here!! Shocking....dh has had enough and swears each yr we aren't going thru on the 27th, they don't deserve it, like u Sunset, Trophy grandkids!! We will see then at xmas then they will come when babies are born, then prob not see them again till we go to them, which dh says AINT happening with 2 newborns! Families....thank god my parents are great!! Really feel for Dh tho, must be sad for him.

Inglewood ~ at least it's taught me what kind of a MIL/grandmother I don't want to be!! I will always make the effort regardless if it's my daughters children or my sons children, it makes no difference and I intend on having the same relationship with them all and treat them all equally!

Sunset, 35wks!!!!! after you thinking and expecting a 2012 baby, she could be here in 2011! I've always conceived and gave birth the same yr, this is my 1st pg that I've conceived one yr and gave birth the next. To think it won't be long till she's here! so exciting...
