Wondering when your scan is aussie? :fx::DD:
Good luck Aussie!
I really want a bugaboo bee for this baby, as I want a light weight, parent facing, suitable from birth, folds all in one buggy and it's the only one that ticks all the boxes. I can't afford it though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to find one second hand.
Its a boy!
I saw the boy bits during the scan so when she asked at the end whether I wanted to know the sex, it was no surprise to have it confirmed. I'm sad but not as devastated as I thought I'd be. I did have to force the big smile on my face when I went back to work straight after and had to share the news but somehow doing that seemed to help me feel better. Had a little cry when I got home and put away the one girl thing I'd bought. I'm not giving up the pink dream but it looks like I'll have to go HT to get my DG. I did fall in love with my new little man during the scan when I was watching him wave and have a little swallow and put his legs over his head! And I know it will be wonderful for my DS to have a little brother. I'm just glad to know so I have a bit of time to get used to the idea of two little boys xx
They will be amazing together aussie, congratulations!!!!
congrats aussiettc. Srry you didn't hear pink but I'm pleased to hear your not giving up and that you don't feel as you expected to.
I've only had one pram with a carry cot on for my first. After that it was doubles and then I had a chicco that just had the car seat on it. However now I do a lot more walking up and down to school a few times a day so wanted the carry cot. DS1 was always fine in the carry cot and slept well in it.
Congrats on a healthy boy, Aussie! I'm glad you are handling it well. Believe me when I say I LOVE having two little boys. Mine are 21months apart and the best of friends. (It's now having three that scares me...)
Thx for all the input on my boy names. I can't get my brain off either Cooper or Madden. When you first hear Madden do you think oh cute! or do you think it sounds angry...like mad? ;) totally honest opinions are welcome! I also like Grayson....
Lld Im in the UK and if someone is angry they could be called a mad'n, mad one Hes a bit of a mad'n aint he! So its not a name Ive heard of before. But if youre US and its not similar to slang over there, plus you like it then go for it:) Again Cooper is a car over here lol, what els3 might be on the list??
I think of the two I prefer Madden, but its really what you like that counts. I had my first not entirely enthusiastic response to Seth the other day. The person said "oh well thats quite nice I suppose" but I don't care. Everyone else seems to love it and more importantly I do.
Leaving for my scan soon! Excited. Posted on facebook and first reply I got was someone guessing "its a girl" better not be. I know thats what I wanted at first but now I'm happy and don't want to change what I have.
Also had an email to say my prams out for delivery so double checked my SIL will be in (she lives 2 doors away) to take the delivery.
Also anyone whos children wanted a certain gender sibling and got the opposite, how are they feeling now? I know it took a while for DS1 to adjust to the idea of DS3 being a boy, but this time they all wanted a brother by the time we found out so we were lucky they were happy. That being said DS2 is full of questions and other than the awkward ones about how you get babies and how they get out (!) He also asked "why did God chose for you to only make boys?"
