Generally I have you guys wait one cycle after a D and C but if your doctor thinks it's ok to try sooner that's fine (though for the sake of a blue sway I'd have you wait one month) Have you been eating well during pregnancy?

I know part of it is that my doctor is “picky” about getting just the perfect views of important things and then extra cautious when we can’t get them (he’s a perinatologist). Baby A has an anterior placenta, is head down, low, and to the rear of my pelvis, so it was very difficult to get good views of anything on her head and took multiple attempts to get all the usual measurements. On the view he was able to get of the CSP when he rescanned me himself, he said it was there, but was more rectangular than he wanted to see, saying it should look a bit more “boxy.” Basically, he expected it to be a little shorter and a little fatter than it was. All the other parts of the brain appeared normal and symmetrical so far. It’s too early to really see the corpus callosum this is linked to developmentally. I tried looking up what “normal” looks like for the CSP and there seems to be a big variable in rectangle and triangle shapes, and it sounded like as long as it wasn’t really short and wide, circular, or completely devoid of fluid, it falls into the range of normal.
I just got the radiology read from the radiologist as a “second opinion” that my doctor requested. It states “The CSP is small but present.” It was also noted that the scan was not captured at the correct angle so visualization was poor. I’m considering this a good sign for now since the concern was that there wasn’t actually one there anymore. The 16-week scan was reviewed as well and it stated the CSP was normal in size and appearance for that gestation.
BunnyGirl- I am praying your doctor is just being cautious and the weeks go quickly. Wishing the best outcome!!! Keep us updated we are here to listen to anything you need to talk about :))
I completely think this is most likely a case of being cautious. But I sure do wish they were better at expressing that to you guys!!
[emoji1317] It’s always tough when we hear news of “I’m not sure let’s look closer.” I bet the doctor is just being cautious and on the safe side. Good doctors want an extra look 🤍🤍

I’m scheduled 5/7 for fetal echocardiograms due to a history of genetic heart defects in DS3 (and a minor one in DS2). On 5/14 I have another scan scheduled to recheck brain structures and anything else not well seen at the anatomy scan. In the meantime, my doctor is having me add in a choline supplement, up my DHA supplement, and add in an extra 1000 mcg of folate per day until we figure out what’s going on and decide what to do after we have more info.
Sending healthy vibes BunnyGirl19 hope all is well.
Doctor has said whenever I feel ready, and I would like to wait at least 3-4months or so, just to give my body a break and re store nutrition. Pregnancy diet was fairly good, kept up my regular diet with extra calcium, protein from eggs and meats.
Any supplements that are good for post miscarriage?

I think you're likely fine to continue.
Please just take the blue sway supps we've already had you taking. The supplements taht are sold to supposedly help prevent miscarriage are in most cases harmful, causing more trouble than they claim to prevent. You're already taking everything you need to be.
