CA- wow that's brutal, good for you for moving past it! FX blue is correct!! Bummer on the gd test, high fat foods won't cause you problems it's the breads, pasta's and oh so delicious candy that'll get you :(
I so get needing the break, check in every now and again and let us know how you are :)

B- I've always been made to feel like I've failed by not giving my husband a son. DH luckily is one of those men who truly doesn't care. When people find out we're having a boy they all ask "is dh so excited?" and seem stunned when I say no more then the other 3 times. It's dumb but this stuff actually influences what I think about clothes, I refuse to buy "daddy's little buddy" "boy's rule" or anything that that implies favoritism.

LBAM - people don't seem to care with the first and since your second was a boy I'm sure you haven't gotten the same comments as the rest of us. Not to sound harsh but it's the second, third, fourth girl in row when the crap starts.

the owt screwed with me too, placenta girl, urine boy, cravings inconclusive, weight gain girl, hair and skin boy even the quizzes came back 50/50 lol

Wow 28weeks! This yr alone has just flown by.

Anyway thought i'd pop back in, i just cant stand false hope, you know?
But ive decided im ok & i will be ok regardless of gender.

So enough of that, hows everyone feeling, my nausea looks like its going to settle sooner then i thought, but better not speak too soon.

Gald your nausea has eased up, it's such a relief when you feel a bit more normal.

I'm starting to feel huge, good but huge. I'm so round everywhere, I'm used to it being just a huge belly but I'm also heavier then ever so that doesn't help things.

I had my baby shower this weekend. It was fun to have everyone there and all that blue, almost makes me believe lol

I just wanted to update- It's a girl for us! I am so happy and have NO GD. I have always wanted a sister for my DD. We are very happy she is healthy!

Best of luck for everyone else, we need more blue. I will check in time to time. I will be back for the next baby in 2-3 years. :)

Awww, Spicy, 2 girls are really WONDERFUL, and I know you're OK with it so I don't have to tell you that ... but it is totally true :) Much as I didn't really want to be raising daughters I can say having a same-gender sibling is awesome for the kiddos! In retrospect 2DD was really perfect and lovely and I wish I'd stuck with what I had, LOL.

Jen how fun! Oh that must have been such a special day for you :) So glad you got to have that!

CA, I was hoping you'd be back! Glad to hear the nausea is fading. I hope you get your boy but if not I do really hope you're ok. 'Cause not being OK totally sucks and I am still not OK. Not even close to it. :(

Oh babydes I am SO happy to hear you're excited to meet her!!! That gives me so much hope :) I've not been well at all. On my best days I'm ambivalent about it, and my worst days are downright embarrassing how awful I feel. I really hope I can get to where you're at and soon.

DH knowing has helped; he's such a comfort thank heavens and hasn't judged at all. When he sees me looking sad he knows why and just gives me a big hug (which usually makes me cry) and tells me how thrilled he is to meet our new girl. He really can't wait and that's lovely. If only he could stay home with them and I could go back to work, LOL!

Hey ladies i was at my sisters place 2day she has a 2month old baby girl, oh my gosh she is so so gorgeous & i was thinking how can anyone be sad at such a beautiful perfect little being, no offence to anyone with gd, it was just my own thought.

My bff had a baby girl in July and I had the opposite reaction. I adore her but every time I held her I couldn't help but think how much I didn't want another one of these.

I know what your saying, honest to God I am really hoping for a boy as much as i try to convince myself that i will be ok, i just know im going to break down if i hear its a girl & i feel so guilty saying this, i always apologise to my belly incase its a girl & then i hug my two girls so tight & get all emotional cause i couldnt imagine my life without my girls so im sure having one more will be just as beautiful.

I know that if this baby had been a girl I'd gotten over it but in that window of not knowing I just kept hoping for no more pink. I over time would have been fine with another girl as dh refused to ttc until he felt confident that I'd survive more pink. I honestly love having 3 girls even though I never saw my life this way, never saw my life with 4 kids either so I guess that's proof I should have spent less time planning my life :wink:

Man I barely have time to post anymore :( I do get on to read about everyone and then one of the kiddos needs me again.

CA: How is your m/s? I am only getting nausea if I have not eaten in a while.

3p1b: Your due in Feb...only a few more months!!!

I find myself going back and forth all the time about the gender. I really would LOVE another boy, it has been 7+ years since I had a baby boy and I miss it soooo much. I think as humans we crave change....change in the seasons, the weather, andything that doesn't send us for a loop. And I just want that change, I love the pink girlie outfits and all, but I miss the blue and cowboy things. I know like most of you, I will be just fine with another girl, but sure could use a change in scenery.

Has anyone started Christmas shopping? We have not even begun a list, yet. I try to be more prepared, but this year has just gone by so fast. We do have the tree up , though.....DH loves the tree.

WP- I know it's getting close and this next month is going to fly by!
I forget, are ou finding out?

I'm amazed to be done with my shopping and we're getting the decorations up today! I was afraid if I didn't get stuff done early I'd be so big and so tired it would make shopping miserable and I'd just start grabbing shit instead of getting what I really wanted for people.

Wp, m/s is no longer a bother but my new horrible thing are headaches actually more like migraines. Christmas shopping, no not yet, only thing we've done is put up our tree. Your so right about change!

3p1b how good are you to have already done your xmas shopping, I really need to start, but im just not in the mood to do anything :sigh:

ITA with this. A friend had a baby girl a couple of weeks ago and I when I went to go see her I had ZERO desire to be going through that again ... it didn't help me at all TBH. Babies are cute and sweet and all, but really ... I could have done w/o more girl things. Especially in about 3-4 years when she's REALLY a "girl" ... for the first year or so babies are fairly gender-neutral other than the clothes we put them in.

LOL :) Love that 3P1B. This is me to a T right now. DH keeps saying we'll just have 4 and I keep saying "I didn't WANT four!" That said I don't want a big gap, I'm ready to get this baby business done ... so we'll have to make the call by the time DD3 is one IMO.

B- I used to think 4 was a ton of kids. I'm not going to lie, some days I still do. I hate the gap between dd3 and this one, HATE it. My others are 2 yrs 9 months apart but he will trail by 4 1/2 years. Dh and I liken it to wanting a new car but hating the color, at the end of the day does it really matter that much? That being said by the time Charlie is weaned I'll have spent 12 years pregnant, nursing or obsessing about swaying. I'm so done with all of this.

CA: So glad your m/s is gone!!! It makes things so miserable.

3p1b: You are so smart, I can see me just ordering online if I was in my 3rd trimester. Since my nausea is gone....I have no excuse not to butt elbows with the crazy shoppers. The tree is up, but the energy is not.

B and 3p1b: We settled on 2 children years ago and somehow it got out of control!!! The 3rd was awesome, so be had another, and we enjoyed the 4th so much....we just couldn't stop....I think we may have an addiction to our children.

The children and I are going to be in a Christmas parade on Thursday (on Hubby's Police Dept float), then we have a birthday party on Saturday, and the Nutcracker Ballet on Sunday....maybe after all that I will Chistmas shop :) You know they say the prices get better the closer to Christmas you get (of course that is because all the leftovers are broken or junk), but at least it is on sale :)

Oh 3p1b, we plan on NOT finding out the gender....as long as the u/s tech doesn't pass over the special area while I am looking :) I have a u/s at about 16 and 20 wks.

I have been convicing myself and DH that it is a girl lately, though....maybe as protection. You ladies know the drill, this afternoon it's a boy....in the evening, I know it's a girl. It really is torture. Can't I be one of those ladies that doesn't know she is pregnant until labor starts?

4.5 years will be nothing in a couple years though, you know? In the grand scheme of things they will spend more of their lives as adult siblings, and that's when the age gap really doesn't matter a bit. But I understand. My 1st two are 3.5 years, this one trails DD2 by 2 years 10 months, and IF we have a 4th I'm cramming him in right behind DD2. We've been looking at adoption and would likely adopt a 1ish year old boy, IF we decide to do it we will plan to start the process such that he and DD3 would be 1-2 years apart. Kind of like you said, while I love, love, love having littles, I'm ready to move on and don't want to prolong it. If we were to try naturally (which I am 100% against) I'd probably end up with a bigger gap while I worked on making sure I could accept another girl, which I know is what you did.

WHAT?!? WP y'all set out to have TWO? I always figured that folks with big families wanted them that way all along, not that it just organically evolved, KWIM? But I do think that's where DH and I find ourselves. After DD1 we were both thinking she'd be an only child, LOL, because we thought babies were HARD, hence the 3.5 year gap between 1 and 2! And now we're kind of loving this older-child thing (DD1 is 6 tomorrow) so much that the idea of 4 is somehow NOT striking us as nuts. Most of our friends have only 2, so IF we go to 4 we'll definitely be odd! But as DH put it, we're odd for having 3 girls already, might as well go all the way and be odd for having 4 kids while we're at it. I will say though ... the idea of having 4 kids in school with REAL homework and REAL activities and all of that overwhelms me.

LOL to wishing you just didn't know you were pg :) The gender obsessing is tough, but oddly, I think since I now know and it isn't what I hoped for, I find myself looking back on the obsessing fondly ... it was the last time I ever thought that maybe I would have a son, KWIM? Now I know for sure that I won't; at least not from my own womb. Still glad I found out though because I really did think this would be a boy and I think post-delivery I would have had a MAJOR breakdown. I think it is fun that you will wait til delivery! I wish I had at least one birth-surprise but situation never was right for me to do that.

Oh and CA I was going to tell you I had crazy bad headaches in the 1st tri with this one. I never had them with my other girls but this time around I did (all of my pregnancies have been different though) and they were rough. They stopped though around second tri so FX the same happens for you!

Yeah i hope so to begonia, i went to physio yesterday & he said ive got 2 discs that feel quite stuck & 2morow im booked in to get a massage, so fx. Today ive had some nausea though.

Wp i know what you mean about protection, im doing the same thing, im saying to myself this is a girl, trying to warm up to it, dont think i can though to be honest.

Re: protecting yourself I did a pretty good job; I reeeeally thought I'd be OK. I remember tucking my girls into bed the night before my scan and thinking I could totally have a third one and be fine; heck, I remember before TTC thinking a 3rd girl would be pretty fun. But then when 3 girls became reality instead of just a "maybe" ... well we all know how hard it has been for me. But that doesn't mean it would be as hard on you, and heck, you REALLY might have BOYS in there :) Gender dreaming is hard, and when you've been swaying for months, it's only natural that you have your hopes up for blue. Time will tell but for now I think it's OK to hope for a son, because honestly even as "protected" as you think your heart is, it can still be ripped apart when the idea becomes reality. I'm not sure the protection does much, at least it didn't for me.

Begonia your right, i can try & protect myself as much as i can but like you said if it becomes reality, i just dont know, its hard.

Hi girls!! Just got back from my 12 weeks check up! My little baby is growing nice and strong!! Omg l love hearing tha heartbeat!!! I just cried so hard!! We have an scan on tues! So I will get some awesome pictures! Ill be 12 weeks 5 days so we can hopefully obesess over nubs and such! I just cant believe I am already 12 weeks!!! I love this baby sooo much! Every morning Ava jean puts her mouth right up to my belly and says "hi junebug I love you" It's so sweet!! I am so frickin happy! I have my 12 week pic, still not much but it's on it's way! I will load it! XOXO
