My hubby wants me to bring our nipt result for gender home (if its in) after my ob appt Thursday... how would I not look 😩 I'm already wavering so much on staying team green!!!! Hoping its just the excitement of the scan and by Thursday I'll be back to strongly team green again.... the struggle is real!!!!!

Lola I guess it could be a sign either way. And I always think surely I'd have a granddaughter but it still won't be the same. Party pooper I know. But you'd have to hope you have a good daughter in law. Hopefully they'd both work so you could baby sit lol... I've got a long list of stuff that runs through my mind!

4blue2pink-so I don't think it was intentional for them to steal our name, but not certain. She is newer to the family & may not have known, but everyone else knew each time we had a boy, that Sophia was our girl name. We were team green for DS2 and I believe that's when they started dating. Everyone knew that we were either having a Sawyer or Sophia. Surely DH's brother remembered this even if his wife didn't? Maybe they figured it didn't matter since we have boys, but it's the ONE name I've loved before it became popular! When DH proposed to me, he said "one day, we'll have lots of Sophia's" and I've been waiting on my Sophia ever since. For years we've always referred to her "you know when we have our Sophia, we'll have to get another car." Things like that. I hate that we're the ones that will look like the "bad guys" stealing "their" name, but in all reality, they stole "our" name & I could be furious. I'm not a malicious person at all & def non-confrontational, but we will just take back what we consider ours & if anyone doesnt like it, so be it [emoji12] They live 10 hours away & we see them maybe once a year. No one in our local circle has the name, so it would really just be DH's family that may have a problem with it. They obviously don't know how much I care about names-most of them didn't come up with names until their babies were born. DH is really adamant about our name too & told his mom a while back that we still planned on using it. She said "you know there are some other very nice names" lol. Good thing they all know that he is stubborn & there's no arguing with him [emoji12] sorry to go off on a tangent-the situation gets me worked up. Who knows...I may never get to use the name and it may be irrelevent, but I would be sad [emoji20]

I've always said Estelle with our last two and my aunt says ohhh then you could call her Stella... for one I would never do that because I like Estelle if I wasted to call her Stella I would have her Stella ok so a year later she gets a dog and names it Stella then just Father's Day she says oh I'm sorry I used your name for my dog... uhh well you didn't because mine is Estelle and will be called Estelle [emoji849] people are just annoying lol but I'll know soon enough 18 days!

i totally get it Lolabelle, that would really annoy me and given that you have told your family about the name it does seem very unfair on you and your dh :( but if they live 10 hours away at least you arent all in the same area and you can just get on without drama.
the proposal story is gorgeous its so lovely how her name has always been Sophia and that you have been waiting not just for your baby girl but for your sophia :HH: its more than a name for you guys and no one can steal that from you, i truly hope she is on her way to you now :)

baby girl names have proved a nightmare for us, #5 was 2 days old before she was named and #6 was 5 weeks old!! argh!! all the boys were named before they were born except ds2 who was named within an hour.. girls names just seem to cause us major difficulties!! xx

First I will tell you that I already have 4 boys and 1 girl (from a successful sway in 2014). We thought we were done having kids but found out in May that we are expecting another, due January 23, 2018. I wonder what your thoughts are on my chances of this being a girl? I didn't particularly sway but wasn't eating breakfast, only one meal a day and did the deed 1 time not sure when ovulation was. That month was so busy and stressful we didn't have time really. Anyway, sorry if this is TMI but this was also a pull out whoops baby. Also my hcg was very high at 8 weeks, actually 179,000. But have had ultrasounds only one in there.I have had severe morning sickness and zits galore. Never had these with my son's but did with my daughter. Also had light morning sickness with my sons and severe sickness with my daughter. I am really hoping to give my daughter a sister, but would love a boy as well. Just want a healthy baby. I heard high hcg can mean girl? Anyway, just wondering what your thoughts are on my chances of this being a girl? Thanks and hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!!

Ash- I am not sure about nipt, have never heard of it but I do plan on finding out the gender as soon as possible. We did nub shots with my daughter and found out at 13-14 weeks and also did an ultrasound again at 16weeks which they said girl and then again at 20 weeks. We were in shock so we didn't believe it. Well I did I knew right away when I got pregnant and kept telling my hubby she was a girl but he still didn't believe it until she came out and saw it for himself. This time I feel like it's a girl but I wasn't doing everything that I did to get my daughter so........ I don't know for sure. I was really swaying with her and lots and lots and lots of praying! But as soon as I can find out I will let you know what the gender is with this baby. Also by the way I was extremely emotional with my daughterr so i think that's a good sign for you. I hope you get your girl. ☺
Ash- I think I should clarify I didn't mean that to sound off. I had read a couple of your earlier posts where you said you were very emotional. Sorry if that sounded rude I didn't mean for it to. But that was one of the symptoms I had with my daughter. I just wanted to clarify that sorry.☺

ash yes! :D i will keep an eye on the name posts! there is a girl name i like, its standing out from any others, it is similar sounding to my name which i think would be nice as none of my children have names starting with the same letter as mine and there is a family tradition on my side of girls in some way being named after mum, i have my mums name as my middle name and others have names that are similar to their mums name but i think dh might shoot this name down i havnt ran it past him yet.. xx

Lola you have to have your Sophia! My sister once told me she had a name picked out for her daughter but someone else on her dh side of the family used it. So she went with a different (and beautiful) name but said if she went back to the time she wouldn't care and would use the name she had picked. And Lola I seen a nub sooooo many time, mostly girly looking but there was a couple that looked angled to. I couldn't not see! It was so bright and there! it was basically poking me in the eye. Because bub was flipping and flopping around though I don't know whether the flat or angled nub is right so I'm still just as clueless lol. I really feel like I'm leaning towards finding out but hope I can be strongly team green again come my appt tomorrow morning....

I hear you about the comments from everyone. It gets very irritating. Don't know if this has happened to anyone else but when you told family that you were having another boy did they say oh gosh another peepee we don't need anymore of those with a sense of disgust in their voice. Even strangers have made such rude comments about the size of our family and how many boys we had. And when we finally had our daughter it became are you going to finally be done now! It's like how does this even affect you and your life. It's none of their business!

Momoffourboyz I don't know what everyones problem with large families is either!! Why people think their crappy comments about stopping now or the roll your eyes gender ones are appropriate or even welcome is beyond me! Is has zero, zip, nada to do with anyone. I personally love the idea of a big family!!! Sure I might think in my head 'wow you have your hands full' but I'm also thinking wistfully look at that gorgeous family.....

Momoffourboyz - I'm an only child and from 9 years old was raises by my dad. So I would like to have my own big family now. The thought of having lots of grandchildren in the future warms my heart. My dad only has 1 at the moment and yet his mum had 17 grandchildren (me being one of them obviously).
Ugh! I'm feeling down about my sway! I was just looking over it and it seems like a really good sway but I just don't feel confident. I don't think I would sway again if this one fails. I just think I'd lose heart in swaying.
Everything was different trying with this one (diet/lifestyle/no clomid/fell first attempt versus a while to conceive my DD) but I still feel disappointed for some reason.
Did I mention I'm a perfectionist and I HATE when things are not in my control and don't go my way. I get so disappointed in myself.
Pbn will they have gender ready for you at your appointment tomorrow?!?! We must know!

Awee dancing i know how you feel. For me too sway was a one time thing. I did feel confident in the beginning but when it failed it hurt a lot and i started dissecting it up to see "what if" and for it was like a complete 360 ... the circumstances i concieved under and my pregnancy overall.
That being said i do feel luck has a huge rule, god still know what is best for us and so hope for the best and dont lose hope yet

Ash they should have! Its the initial testing that's done in Aus so gender, t13 & t18 and t21 from memory and then the addition screenings are sent overseas. Kinda hoping they're not in so I don't have to decide whether to find out tomorrow or not 😂 I thought also of asking for a 'pretty' profile pic (in hopes of a nub shot) as all my scan ones are blurred and wouldn't be any good for an announcement 😂 at least I can honestly say that and not be lying 😂😂
