I wouldn't worry about the age gap!! DS will be 6 when this baby is born (if I get pg!!) and DD1 was 6 when DD2 was born... I actually think it isn't all that bad to have a big gap like that. DD1 and DD2 LOVE each other. It's pretty cute! B- so did you formally find out and tell the kids? Dd1 and this one will be a few weeks short of 10 yrs apart, I don't love the gap but I feel it's a bit up to us how strong the relationship is. If we let her ignore him and just run her own life they won't have any relationship but if we encourage them to play and interact it'll all work out.

Lola, thanks and sorry to hear about your dog as well. It is heartbreaking to see them so sick and even more heartbreaking to see them go :( Atomic has posted a few things about whey protein not being good for fertility or more so not knowing the effects it has on fertility. I didn't want to take my chances so just got DH to stop. He takes it for muscle building. It works really well and his arms are huge now. I don't tell him that though ;) I will be interested to see what info you find. Oh I am praying for your hubbies balls! Good luck!!
5, you're not out! 10dpo is still early! Put those sticks away. Cramps don't mean AF is coming. I had cramps during the 2ww with both my girls.
Hobbers, thanks :) I don't believe in all that psychic stuff so can't really comment on it. Please don't give up just because of some readings though.
LBAM, I agree with 5, it depends when you O and how many days of OPKs you get. Generally if you're going for one attempt you DTD 12-18 hours after first positive OPK.
B, sorry to hear you are still having a rough time. ((hugs))
I am 8dpo today, still resisting the urge to test, I know it is way too early anyway. Cramping still. I have an appointment with my fertility specialist tomorrow so if this cycle doesn't work then I am pretty sure it will be onto Clomid. At least then I will know when I am going to O.
Hobber-- My kids do that too, my little one (3yrs old) even tells people at preshcool that she has a little brother on the way, kills me to correct it cuz I wish it was true. My older daughter (5) says mommy can we please have a baby boy in the morning I dont have any brothers (she is my tomboy too) She acts like its just a matter of my saying "yes"...

Begonia--I am so sorry, when I was preg with DD2 i REALLY thought she was a boy, so when I found out she was a she (i know this sounds weird but) I grieved the loss of my imagined son...it was BAD! I have been kind of scared of trying to get preg for fear of having a girl....I feel your pain...of course now I would give her up even for twin boys (which would be divine) love her to bits....and I would not worry about the age diff u kind of have to have another so the littlest can have someone to play with too! I am at the point that I know I want more kids so I am gonna sway my ass off and if its a girl anyway I am gonna cry but then at least I know I gave it my best shot ya know, and I know you did! I took Clomid with my first daughter, it didn't make me O so I moved onto FSH injections. I conceived my second daughter on 50mg, days 3-7. Before taking medications I rarely, if ever O'd on my own. I conceived first ovulation cycles with both my daughters so I know that once I get O'ing I have pretty good fertility. Kinda sounds odd doesn't it? Anyway, off track... All I know is the last 2 cycles I had EWCM start on CD19
I bd'ed on the day I noticed my cm start changing to fertile, which was about 2 days before +opk. We bd'ed morn and evening of that day only. And I'm pretty sure I ov quickly after the +opk as my cm turns creamy literally hours after +opk:agree: I wanted to have full crypts waiting for the egg so then everyone starts from the same place, and hopefully the boy environment would help the blues along.Quote:

I wasn't using OPT's or taking temps.

LBAM, it might be worth charting your previous cycles. Then you will have something to go back and look at. Makes it easier when it's charted out nicely for you.
5, was just checking out your charts again. Your temps are heaps higher this cycle than all your previous ones. Wonder why that is?
I don't know, everybody is different, thats the nightmare!!! Some people continue to have ewcm after ov others it might be just before. I went by ov cramps and the change in cm to ewcm. I think my ov tied in with the small amount of ewcm I got and the cramps, then when the cramps lighten up the cm changes back to creamy I assume that I have ov'ed. I do believe that on ov days my body just shoots the egg out, no messing around lol:)Quote:

I am finally getting over this cold!!! Yeah!!! I still have a slight cough, but I can deal with that. This weekend starts the holidays here : 4 of our 6 children have birthdays in November, so this weekend is the BIG party. They all seem to pick yummy cakes for me to make, this years selections are......lemon cheesecake, choc fudge cake, strawberry shortcake, and ice cream cake. I have my work cut out for me to say the least. We did "tell" the children last night and they are all thrilled, but bummed that we are not finding out the sex. Several over the children kept asking, "Are you sure you don't have a baby in there Mom" "You belly looks a little bigger". My body is just too use to being preggo. I would love to be able to hide it from the rest of our family until after Christmas.
Well, my DH hardly has any sperm anyway, so if this sperm thing is true, it would be a girl but I don't care....I'm not really swaying anymore, I just stick around because I've been doing it for so long. I should have put that in context more, since I'm not really a candidate to sway since we are not "optimally fertile." I am also on in infertility website and they suggested we just put as many up there as possible on O day.Quote:
