Oh no I'm so sorry to read this xtina.
Clomid has been around since the 60's and there are actually women on this site right now who were conceived using it. I believe it to be among the safest of drugs and I do not think it makes people more likely to have losses (while some studies claimed to find that, it's now believed that it was because the women who were taking the Clomid had other health issues going on that predisposed them both towards fertility problems and miscarriages, and not the Clomid itself.)
People say "you're more fertile after a loss" but that's never really been proven. Hormonally you ~may~ be more likely to pop out some eggs and maybe better quality eggs, after a loss because you're still higher in levels of some hormones. AT the same time, though, your body does also have these natural birth control mechanisms like delaying or stopping ovulation, short LP, making less CM to prevent you from conceiving when it feels your body is not in good enough condition to sustain a pregnancy. So it's a bit of a toss up. If you have your doc's ok I think you are fine to start trying once your cycle resumes, if it does, and we all hope that it comes back strong and predictable for you.
Thank you so much for your reply.. and your messages..
I’m going to try asap, as I have read that you actually have a lower chance of miscarriage again if you conceive in the first 3 months after..
Il try myself if I can, then I’m going back on Clomid.
Iv decided to lose the 6lb I gained in pregnancy by skipping the breakfast and going veggie AGAIN! Then I’m hopeful mybody will remember exactly what Iv been doing for the last 16 weeks., LE is quite easy for me, so I can slip back easily.
Because my maternal state will be bad (low iron from blood loss, low sugar, tired, low mineral, also blaming myself and thinking I’m terrible and can’t do this) I know that sways anyway... so let’s all hope for a successful pregnancy
Thank you again
Well, it's probably not so much that you really have a lower chance of miscarrying, but that the women who are fertile enough to get pregnant again so quickly and whose doctors have okayed it (meaning, they had an uncomplicated loss without having other things happen to them on top of the loss, like heavy bleeding, infection, etc) are less likely to have a loss than those who couldn't get pregnant or were told to wait longer for some medical reason.
But I see no reason why you shouldn't try if your heart is in it and your doc has given the ok.
:agree: Yes that's exactly right - you're already IN declined condition from pregnancy, then a loss, then recovery - PLUS your body does gently reduce overall fertility after a loss as well, plus the mental aspect, I believe it is a-ok for your sway to try right away as long as it's ok for your body.
Hi girls! I want to have my second baby and start my pink sway , but i don’t have my period and i don’t ovulate yet , probably because i still breastfeed my 11 months boy. Is it ant way to rush and make my body ovulate again? I bought clomid, if i start taking it, would i ovulate again?
Thx everyone, thx Atomic !!
You shouldn't take Clomid until you've had a period (unless you've been to see a doctor who did bloodwork and ultrasound to see where in your cycle you are). If you take it when you already have eggs developing you can cause a cyst to develop.
Are you exercising a lot or dieting strictly?
Hi Atomic, no, I am not exercising and I am not on a diet, just breastfeeding still. I will wait then! Hope I start to ovulate soon! I tried every day with one step ovulation tests and 30 days nothing ... no period either!!
Gosh that's a lot of ovulation tests - very expensive! I would just have you have unprotected sex evry 4 days in the "Monday/Friday" pattern or every 96 hours, whatever is easier for you to understand.
Atomic you replied to me saying that I would need a couple of months off clomid if by March our attempts at high tec haven’t worked as I will have taken it for 5 cycles then. Guess it ties into my other questions about when I can start swaying based on diet (think you said you would reply via email) but how many months would you take off before introducing clomid again and would you go back on birth control? Would it be easier for me to buy a custom plan to ask you these questions (I check multiple times a day to see if you have had a chance to reply but know you super busy) as I just really want to know what my plan and my timeline look like if high tec hasn’t worked by March - causing me a lot of anxiety me being so confused about everything and what steps to take! As in follow south beach while doing high tec but if that doesn’t work then do LE for full 12 weeks or does losing weight while doing high tec and on south beach count etc etc. Thanks so so so much in advance do any guidance you can give me and as I said I am very happy to pay you for you time I just don’t know the best way to do that/ places to post. Xxxxx

Yes you need to wait for your period.
You can get provera or similar medication from your doctor to kickstart your period. None of the over the counter solutions work.
Just one month off Clomid. You don't need to go back onto birth control and in fact I'd advise not doing that because it may mess with your ovultion and make it take longer before you can take the Clomid.
I"m really behind on PMs due to the holidays. The Custom Swayers do get same day service so that's an advantage - I answer every question in the Custom Forums daily, then I do the free forums, and then only after those things do I do PMs (because with PM's, I am helping only one person at a time). I'll get back to you as quickly as I"m able.
I started today with provera, i see that is a fertility medication, any information if it sways pink like clomid!
We believe Provera to be neutral. It's not the same thing as Clomid/Femara unfortunately.
Hi everyone, I’m back again..
I sadly miscarried is Sept 18, but have been trying to conceive since. I took 1 round of generic Clomid in December and managed to fall pregnant!
I’m really very early, but trying to stay positive..
Would like to know if any other ladies are trying again with Clomid after a loss? Feeling a bit alone because I’m not sharing my news with anyone except my partner, and he’s shut down a little... think it’s hard for him to believe it happened and that we are infact pregnant again..
Thanks for reading x
Oh hey I was hoping things were going ok for you! Good luck and sending you all my sticky pink dust!
That was a nice welcome back :)
As atomic said it’s the same it’s just cheaper. If I’m being totally honest I was a bit mad at the GP for prescribing generic medicine. God knows why! In my head I was a bit put out.. so silly really..
Anyway, worked on my first cycle!
I’m extreamly anxious but after loss no pregnancy is ever the same, so that’s natural ...
I fell pregnant over the Xmas period, so I was drinking, eating, generally enjoying the festive period with my boys. I finally let my hair down and wasn’t thinking about my sway. I had actually thought about not starting the Clomid and just seeing what happened! That’s how relaxed I was... Then , the day I was due to come on I just had a feeling. I ran home and tested late in the afternoon and it was super strong! Positive.
Scared. Instantly. Refused to tell my partner for a few days. But when I told him we were obviously thrilled, just quite wary...
Thank you for the response guys, I can only rant to you because I’m not telling a soul this time lol
Can I just add on aswell, that I took a small aspirin dose (75mg) when I got my BFP. Mainly because my mum told me to take it lol. But I have found lots of forums of women that take it to help with oxygen flow to the uterus...
And il also add that I haven’t really been swaying and I’m slightly worried about that!
My understanding is that they're not making "Clomid" any more so all they HAVE is the generic now!
It is SOOO hard to regroup after a loss. What I did was every time I felt anxious, I just tried to make a mental connection with my baby and said "stick with me baby, stick with me!" and even though of course it was totally psychological I felt calmed by it.
aRe you still taking the aspirin or was it a one-off?? That has fallen out of favor as it's been determined that while aspirin helps a minority of women, another group of women that's probably quite a bit larger than the number helped can actually be more likely to have miscarriages if they're taking it. I would have you wean off if you've been taking it daily.
I am having already 3 Boys and trying to sway for a Girl. This will be my Last Child and so i am trying to give my best. Here what i am doing
Diet
3 Weeks ingender diet with very high Protein intake but no meat
6 weeks Le diet
I try to eat no breakfast, have Max 3 meals, Drink a lot of coffe and having 180gramm of wine each evening
I eat 40 Protein 40 fett thinking of going um to 50 protein
Exercise
4-6 Times a week
At the beginning i did some weight excercise but i am now only doing cardio
Clomid
But doctor gives me Clomid since i Need it anyway. We will be on 100 since we know that i am reacting Not so good to the medication. We will Start Ovulation with a another medication so one attemp is no Problem for me. I will take Clomid day 5-10
We Plan nothing else to do. I am Not sure if this is enough.
I would Need advice when we should do our First try. My Problem is that i am loosing weight very fast. In 9 Weeks i Lost already 7,5 kilo. I have a bmi of 22,3 and i am at my lightest Conception weight but Not at my lightest weight ever. I am already eating 1800 cal but will go to 2000 to Slow the weight loss down. I have two trys and Then My doctor will stop Clomid.
MY question is shall i try to conceive this month due to the fast weight loss? I will have only 7 Weeks of diet By then. I have the feeling this is not enough. Or shall i better wait?
That's all that actually works! PLEASE don't do more than you have already done!
Diet, exercise, one attempt, and Clomid is the absolute BEST sway. All the things that work, without adding any of the things that don't work and cut odds of conception!
:agree: up cal intake to stop weight loss.
I'm fine with you starting TTC now. YOu have the 3 weeks on the IG diet and then the LE Diet and even though you ate more protein, the IG diet is still quite restrictive. I'd go for it!
Anyone recommend a legit online pharmacy to purchase
I can't recommend things like that for the obvious reasons but people do go that route.
I had multiple followers on day 12, one being 18mm, one of 15mm and multiple of 13mm. For this reason we were not allowed to have unprotected sex. The doc said I would ovulate in 1 or 2 days (so on cd13/14) however I had a positive opk on cd15. My question is, since last round I had a follicle that did not make it to ovulate (13mm) , is it for sure that at least the follicle of 18mm did make it? I am awaiting my period but I am very impatient. So could you say that 18mm follicles will ovulate for sure?
WOW that's very unusual for a doctor to have you hold off with eggs that size (I SO wish you had mentioned this in your custom coaching forum!) The odds were sky high that the 15 and 13 mm would ahve stopped developing and not been released. IMO he should not have had you miss a month for that. That's not at all the norm - a doctor should know that you will develop more than one egg, but it doesn't mean they all will be released!
The odds are that the 18 mm follicle and possibly 15 mm was ovulated but there's no guarantee without a trigger shot.
Oh no, I try to be as complete as possible in my writing. I felt exactly the same! I do have to say there were about 8 follicles of 13mm... one of 15mm, and one of 18mm. It was not even negotionable. She said that if the 18mm will be released, at least the 15mm will also be released. I thought 18mm and 13mm were to far apart to all pop together. But of course I followed the advise. Now we have to wait and see if I ovulated. Would this information change your option on the dose for next time? This time I had 100mg and next cycle I may chose between 50 or 75
It's possible the 15 would have been released but not likely the 13's would be (and 100% that not all the 13's would go even if one did). It's very normal to release 2 eggs on Clomid and only conceive with one. So much so that few doctors will have people wait in months they ovulate 2 eggs, because most of the time it's still a singleton anyway.
I still prefer 50 mg. I think the reason you didn't O the one month was you were not in good enough condition.
Thanks Atomic. I guess iT is to late now. Will go for 50 next prins in the hope that my body is in better condition.
Hi, I have an ultrasound today to check how letrozole has worked. Will this give enough info to time our one attempt or should I be using OPK as well? What should I be looking out for or asking at ultrasound? I'm CD 12 and took 2.5 of letrozole from day 3
Yes it's very helpful but I would be using OPK as well to give you more information.
Just ask them when they think you're going to ovulate - they can often tell this.
Ultrasound showed one follicle that was 17x19. She said it could release anytime from now on. I did an opk a few hours prior and it was negative. Could I have missed surge? Not sure when to time attempt? Just go tonight or in the morning or wait for positive opk? I am day 12 today
I answered this in your coaching forum!!
Hi,
I have quite a lot of femara left over from my sway. I know I can’t sell it (shame as I could use some money!!) but I wondered if any UK ladies want it rather than me binning it?
I will check but I think I have about six months supply. I could split it.
MM
I am hoping I didn’t miss my window. I’ve been doing the ovulation strips but am currently on CD16 with no positive yet. I took clomid starting on CD 4 and I haven’t necessarily felt any ovulation symptoms besides bloating. Should I start doing every 3 days or stick to one attempt and hopefully get a positive opk soon?
It's up to you - the odds are you haven't ovulated yet but you might want to have an attempt and keep testing as well (rather than doing e4d I mean) and then if you get a positive test 4 or more days later, have another attempt. if 1-2 days after the first attempt, stick with the attempt you have had, and if 3 then flip a coin and do what the coin says.
Great!!
On my first round of femara and had my cd12 scan today. 3 follicles at only 10mm and lining pretty thin. Going back on Tues for another scan. Is it common to O still but a bit later? On 2.5mg this cycle.
