We just moved into a new 4 bedroom house so everyone will have their own room but baby will be in our bedroom for at least 6 months anyway.
Nothing wrong with sharing, pretty much everyone I knew as a kid shared with at least 1 sibling, I shared with my 2 younger sisters for quite a few years and it was a lot of fun growing up.
After saying I hadn't felt baby move much a few weeks ago it's now pretty much constantly kicking up a storm and DH can feel it too. I'm loving it although slightly worried about how active this baby might be when born!
Has anyone planned anything for the birth yet. I'm going to the hospital I work at and hoping for a water birth this time, I'm weirdly excited about it LOL.
That must be fantastic Peb!! I cant wait until something happens around here, weve promised the kids for the past 7 flamin years to do something! My older 2, 14 & 12 are definitely at the age where they need to be away from the little ones, its when the Lo's get all of their things out and break them, i havent told DS1 yet, but they broke one of his boxing trophies and Ive had to hide it, hes going to be gutted:(Quote:

*ruby* I'm looking forward to birth aswell:) I have hospital births as its a break from home, and just get a taxi in by myself, get very, very drunk on gas and air, and bounce away on the birth ball to some up beat music, I call the midwife in when I know I am at the end, I really dont like any company in there which I know is different, I keep in touch with home by sending text messages lol, my DD1 is a very witty girl and has me laughing away the whole way through by telling me that they are eating curry and chocolate whilst I'm starving and bouncing like a loon on the ball:bigsmile: If I can get internet connection in there (doubt it) I may see whose online here for a bit of distraction:agree:
I shared with my 2 brothers until I was 7 and then used to sneak into their room once my Mum thought I was asleep and get into the bottom of one of their beds until I was about 11 and it became too uncomfortable LOL
I did co-sleep with my others but I feel really worried about doing that seeing as we are on a sofa bed now, there is still a free bottom bunk though so I may end up in there if it doesn't work out trying to not co-sleep LOL
My plans at the moment for the birth are pretty much the same as my last two, which is a home birth. Unless I change my mind through embarressment over the sleeping situation. I do worry about getting someone to look after the boys and them having to get here, then me get to the hospital. I always wait until I'm absolutely sure that its labour, which meant last time the midwife was only in my house half hour and she hadn't got her bag in from the car or examined me and he was born.
It would be much easier to be at home. I'd still call someone to come watch them or take them out if they were here, or to pick them up if they were at school, just in case I did need to transfer in. But it would be less of a panic at the start.
I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow, the other night he was kicking so strongly when I was asleep that I actually started dreaming I could feel him kicking, and woke up to find he actually was. First time ever, in any pregnancy I've been woken by kicks.
I am getting very excited now, keep thinking about all the things that I do every year, like I always have a Christmas shopping trip with my best friend, I keep imagining pushing a pram around again on that trip. Seems so long since I've pushed a pram LOL DS3 wasn't even 2 when he stopped using one. And looking at all the little baby clothes I have so far. I think I'll get DH to get the other stuff from the loft in a couple of weeks, maybe when I'm about 30 weeks, so I can sort it and wash what I want to keep. We have had such rubbish weather that its taking stuff ages to dry and I want to get a head start.
DS2 is so sweet, he keeps cuddling my belly and saying "see I'm cuddling the baby already"
DS1 worries me, like I say his convinced DS2 is the favourite and its not like that at all. I always swore I would never use his age against him. I was 13 months older than my twin brothers and always thought it was unfair when I was told I was older so should know better. I try my hardest to treat them all the same. The thing is DS1 has always been independent, his always been able to play by himself and been good as gold, apart from this new attitude. Where as DS2 has always been a real handful and given the chance to get bored he will with in minutes cause trouble and destruction. So its easier to keep him entertained and out of trouble than spend the whole day telling him to stop doing things. I get him to help with cooking dinner (which he loves, he wants to be a chef) or give him the dust pan and brush and he will spend ages sweeping the same bit of floor. Or take anything sharp out the sink and let him wash up. But because his with me, or with DH helping him do jobs. DS1 sees this as us wanting to spend time with DS2 more than him. DS2 can't just be put in his bed and left. He needs 'winding down' and again DS1 sees this as DH wanting to be with DS2 rather than him. DH offers to do things with DS1 and he says he doesn't want to, then waits until DH is busy or trying to calm DS2 down and then will ask him to come and do something with him.
His got such an attitude at the moment and I feel awful because all I seem to be doing is telling him off or arguing with him. He talks to everyone like they are idiots and picks on his brothers. I try to explain to him why we have to do that stuff with DS2 but his attitude isn't helping him because it means he does end up getting told off a lot more. And his started hanging around with a boy at school who I know puts him into that mood. The boy is a bully and you can always tell his been with him because he comes home like that, but lately his been with him every day so it isn't helping.
I'm trying to be understanding, I can see why he thinks those things and that he might be worried with another baby on the way (although he was the main one asking "when can we have another baby" since the last one was born) that he'll get less attention, and I know most of his behaviour is probably for attention. But it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

I do check to see whats come up every couple of months. I'm not sure how the contract works really on our place and will have to check it and see if there is something in there about moving before the contract is up. Seeing as it ends in October I doubt I'd want to move the month I was due anyway LOL
Mob's I'm sure I was told that boys have a testosterone surge around 7? This extra acting up could be partly because of this. My 7 yr old DS is trying to assert his authority atm, a lot of NO's! and Why should I's! I think hes testing the water with his new found confidence? I doesnt help when your pg does it:) They seem to know that were not on full form and take advantage a little lol.
Can you imagine if you happened to notice the right pace just happen to come available! How exciting would that be! Would you consider putting a note in the shop window just incase someone local knows of something or someone who is thinking of renting out but a bit worried about the hassle of an agent, they may just be looking for a local well known family with a good reference and would be able to maybe lower the monthly bill due to no middle man!Quote:
