That is one of the VERY few "perks" to being high risk. My ins. gets to bite it on their limitations with u/s... including paying for a 3D anatomy scan at 20 weeks. At least they did with my youngest... after I already paid for one out of pocket because I didn't know. I'll likely get two again this time. I'll get one with my specialist and my OB has this program that if you use their online system (trying to get more ppl to use it) to request an appt for it, instead of calling to do so, the 3D/4D u/s is free. There is a catch though... u/s scare me (both losses discovered via u/s with no other sign there was a problem) and get me excited all at the same time lol. So, after the HB is found each time it feels like a blessing to have extra peeks at our bean but until then I tend to be a nervous wreck as I wait for it to be found.
