TTC boy this summer... sway buddies?

Hello all I have been a silent reader of this website. Good Luck to all you ladies trying to sway blue. I have a daughter and now trying for a baby boy. I have a question while trying to sway blue, should dh abstain from ejaculating before +opk? I am 34 and dh 37. I use clear blue digital ovulation test and did get a smiley last month and BD'ed O-2 O-1 and on O but still got a BFN but he ejacuted 2 days prior to the O-2 too. This month I am not sure if he should hold of at least 2 days before dtd. What do you all suggest. I am following the diet as much as I can!

Hi Blue-dream! I think it is ok that he ejaculated 2 days prior to your attempts. In fact it's a blue friendly tactic to BD every other day or have DH release every second day prior to the attempts. But 4 days will be good either since everything between 2-4 days is recommended.

Other blue swayers, where are you??? I feel like I'm monologizing here! LOL Need some distraction in my 2ww.

I am having light AF type cramps now... don't know if that's good or bad. I am only not going out to buy a test because it's raining and with kids that will be too stressful lol (all the umbrellas everywhere.. especially under their feet and the water jumping which will make us and everybody near us soaking wet) we will never make it there and back sane haha

Blue dream are you doing opks to help you pin point ovulation?

The recommendation is 3 attempts from first positive opk. So that evening, next morning and evening. Multiple releases are said not to impact sperm quality if only overa few days during your fertile window.

I've gone with the every other day bd pattern for this month as I found that testing for a positive opk too difficult and stressful which affected my cycle. We also added an extra attempt when I thought I was at my peak.

Thanks Thunderstruck7 for the reply. Yes I am using Clear Blue digital ovulation predictor. My periods is pretty regular and I track with FF. As per FF there are 4 fertile days. But, as close to ovulation is what sways blue, I check on the second day of fertile period with CB. Last month got firm smiley that way. But this time I am also planning to use internet cheapies to track. What opk kit were you using?

I'm here aira but idk why 2 out of 3 of my posts never appeared this week :giggle: It's starting to annoy me :nono: !

I have soooo much trouble lifting weights and snacking lately ! It's too hot here, the kind of heavy warmth that just puts you to sleep ! I'm afraid I'm just setting myself for failure that way :nails: Sometimes I wonder if we should try this month at all or wait for August... But August can be warm too haha !

Yes. O-1 and O day is good for a blue sway. As thunderstruck said, as soon as your positive on the OPK, have 3 or more attempts on same day and next day (which will be O-1 and ovulation day). On the rest of the cycle DTD every 2-4 days.
