I had my hubby checked out when we were taking so long getting pregnant with ds1. He was fine. He was moooore than fine- I forget what his count was but something like 6x’s more (quantity) than what the threshold would be for “enough”. (No wonder we have boys too!) So I was kind of pleased that his output has been less this time around (noticeably). But hopefully he’s not shooting dusty blanks- that won’t sway anything!
What we actually *think* it ended up being was a blocked tube. We did the HSG (dye test) and I saw the dye shoot straight through one tube, but in the other it go to a certain point, slowed down, stopped…then shot right out. The tech said it might’ve been a little blob of mucus. A little mucus blob that gave me heartache for over a year! The next month I got pregnant. Coincidence? I don’t know. I do have two tubes but at the very lease that little blob may’ve cut my chances in half over the long term.
DS1 was 6 months when we pulled the goalie to try for #2. One month later, pregnant! I’m thinking of having another hsg test done to see if we can knock another blob loose… but I’ll give it a couple of months first. This month’s plan: soy and evening primrose oil! And the LE diet, but not going to go overboard with it like I was. Better choices, portion control, that kind of thing- versus the white rice/pasta/parmesan cheese/crystal lite diet.
I guess I’m on cd2 so I’ll stop posting in the 2ww about my stuff.
For all you other ladies waiting- good luck! Warm up those hpt’s for us and get the next bumper crop of bfp’s going! Meet you all in the due date club very soon (positive thinking, positive thinking). Especially you, Mrs. P!
