Get well soon, Maci!
Ah get well soon maci. I have been lucky in that two of my babies had jaundice bad but never bad enough for the light treatment.
BIG bump moment, 34 weeks, feeling enormous :) Countdown has really started now.

Thank you ladies!!! We stayed two nights and we're now home!! The dr who released us said there is a good chance Maci will have to be admitted again.. She has to go get tested again today to check her levels and if they get too high, she has to go back. The dr said she has three risk factors working against her, 1. She is only a few days old and the jaundice might not have peaked yet 2. She was born premature and 3. Her and I have different blood types. She's eating, but bot doing great. She slept all night and only got up once at 3am to eat and I just had to wake her up at 8:30am to feed her and she hardly ate. Hopefully she starts to eat more!!
Aidansmum - your bump is so cute!!!! I miss mine already!! (Even tho I still have a bump, it's not the same haha!)
menlc I am sure they told you or you prob already know this but just in case, put her in the sun. Whether it be a sunny window or a walk. The sun will help break down the bilirubin also. Glad she is home & fingers crossed her numbers will continue to go down.
I am feeling enormous too!
Ladies, I know this is TMI but has anyone lost any of their mucous plug early? I had a little bit coming out this morning, not much, like a fingertip and no blood. I am a bit over 34 weeks. I don't know if I should call the Doctor. Other than the BH I am not feeling any cramping or anything different. I never noticed losing the plug before so I'm unsure as to if it's a normal thing to start losing it this early?
I started losing mine like that at about 34 weeks with DS6 but I think I read that it's ok and it can replenish itself. I ended up having him on his due date so it didn't make him come any earlier.
I have never noticed losing mine so I can't help much. I might just call & ask the Dr or nurse just for peace of mind.
Aidansmum, my collegue is a resident in gynaecology and she told me that it is very normal to have some dilatation from 30 weeks onward with your second (or more) child and that that doesn't say anything at all.
I think you can loose some of the mucus plug too then. I think i lost something yesterday, because it was very thick amd abundant.
I shoudn't be worried, as long as i don't have cramps or many braxton higs or something.
Thanks ladies, I tried calling the Doctor yesterday but he was only available for emergencies, so I will call again today just for peace of mind, but for what I've been reading it is quite normal and no need to panic unless cramps, contractions and blood follow, none of those thank goodness and nothing else came out, so I hope my body is regenerating the little bit I lost and little one will hang in there for another 5 weeks or so. She seems to be trying to find a way out by kicking the hell out of me though lol I guess it's getting tight because the last few days she's been full on with the kicking and pushing :)
I think I heard in my birth class that if you lose some of the plug early that's fine and that more can form as needed.
Congratulations Bunny, menlc611, & Snips!! And, who else has delivered? So adorable!! Love all the pictures!!
Hey guys, just checking in. Have been admited to the hospital yesterday due to very low amniotic fluid and high blood pressure and have said the baby is measuring 3 weeks behind so I am being monitored to see how things go. No idea how long I will be in the hospital for but I am kind of hoping to go home tomorrow evening/night!! I live about 45 minutes from where I am so I would really like to go home and if possible be monitored locally there.
I guess life decided almost losing my son wasn't enough and I needed more drama :/
Hope everyone else is doing well!!
O, GM, hope everything turns out to be just fine. I think you had enough drama for the rest of you life the past few months...
Thinking of you! Take care!
Grease I hope you get home soon. I have had blood pressure issues before and admitted with two of my boys because of it. Plus this baby is measuring small. I hope they can stabilise your bp and you get home ASAP!
Six scans now and still no gender confirmation.....
Maybebabythree, six?! Wowsers, you must be very curious by now!
Aren't you considering dna testing?
Bigwish, wow, it's coming closer for you, in several weeks you can finally hold your DD in your arms! Enjoy this pregnancy final weeks and take care. When is your due date by the way? xxx:kissy:
Grease so sorry you are going through this. Praying for you & your little one. Hope they can get you stabilized & home soon!
Grease - thinking of you and hope everything is ok and you can get home!
Maybe - oh my, I would be losing my mind!! Hope you are doing good and that you can find out soon!!

Grease- I hope you are well.
I hope all of us are well.
Some beautiful babies and the rest of us are really getting close now....
Thanks ladies. I am still in the hospital and being monitored. Baby has absent blood flow so I am being monitored and hooked up on baby monitors every 4 hours to check for heart rate. I am 31 weeks and baby is measuring 28 weeks and her heart rate dips when I get a contraction.
Not sure what the plan is so I am still in the wait and see stages and being monitored, hooked up on IV's and getting daily u/s to test the blood flow and the BPPs...
Grease that sounds scary - are they testing for pre eclampsia?
Grease that all sounds so scary. Sending lots of prayers the drs get you some answers & you & baby get back on track!
Yes, I was tested for pre-e and nothing!! Not sure what's going on, no one can really tell me exactly what's going on or how long I am going to be in the hospital and all I can do is sit in the hospital bed and wait :/
Oh Grease/Maria, I'm so sorry you're going through that :( Hope your little one is fine and out of risk and that you're out of there soon. You had too much drama lately already you poor thing. Wishing you a break from all of that and only good news xx
Oh no geeasemonkey! You've had a rough time lately. The waiting and not knowing is probably the hardest, at least you're being closely monitored. Fingers crossed bub stays put for a little longer. xx
Please update us when you can Grease, i hope they can figure out what is going on.
Congrats to all with their new little babies! you're all should feel very proud and blessed x.
Checking in... this is my 34wk and have been to hospital last week with 10min apart contractions which they managed to stop the uterus from contracting. I have dropped big time and feel really achy in the underbelly... have my bags nearly packed but haven't even finished babies room and the weeks are quickly disappearing! School holidays next week so I will be spoiling my 3 boys with some mummy time before the big day.
Keep well everyone xo
