Haha Ash-wouldn't they be shocked!! Although, doesn't seem like the U/S are wrong with the 3D/4D technology these days!I joked to DH that we should just take their boy name lol. It's cute, but not what I want & I couldn't be mean like that anyway!
I have been losing weight too. Just lost 2 more pounds. And i am eating pretty much ok. I still have my old pouch from my last pregnancy but nothing more than that.
I did decide at last minute to not go in for my 12 week visit. I was just there at 9 weeks so i am not sure much has changed in 2 weeks.

So we found a great deal on a double stroller yesterday and even though its early for me to be baby shopping. I went ahead and bought it. I think the double stroller was pretty much the only thing i needed for this new baby being that DD3 and this baby will only be 20 months apart

Blue-you didn't want a chance at a nub shot? But you're team green right? I can't seem to remember all of the "going green group" [emoji172]🤣 Nice your last one was at 9 weeks-mine was at almost 8 weeks & it feels like it's been forrrrevvvvverrr!
Lola i dont get any US till 20th week. I asked last visit. They only doppler and confirm heart beat at each visit along with the usual labs or vitals/symptom check.

I feel you ladies and Im not even pregnant yet. Last pregnancy we told everyone around 10 weeks and my sister automatically invited herself to the gender ultrasound (it was hard to say otherwise as she was helping us with minding our boys at that time- my DH was quite upset with me understandably as it was meant to be me and him). We also had alot of comments as this was baby no5 and the ohhh are you trying for a girl, do you hope its a girl, you'll need a bus soon, don't you have a TV etc etc..
I have told DH this time that Im waiting until we know the gender to tell anyone and id like to keep the gender to ourselves tbh. This won't be til around the 18 week mark and he seems to think its because i feel ashamed. I have told him though its for my own sanity. Im already getting in the mindset now this is our last baby whatever the gender is. I want to be able to enjoy the gender ultrasound with my DH and process whatever will be in my own time (im totally expecting to hear boy) and id rather do that without family breathing down my neck about it.
I have actually distanced myself from alot of family due to their comments, remarks and continued nagging about if im pregnant yet, if we will be trying again for a girl. My MIL doesn't say anything though as she has 3 boys so understands.

This is a new practice from my dd3 time ( since we moved cities) and even with DD3 i didnt get the 12 week nuchal scan offered just a 8 week dating scan. I guess i am just low risk maybe thats why i never get it offered

Blue-Oh I see, I'll have an U/S at 12 weeks, then Doppler at 16 weeks. Although last baby they did an U/S at 16 weeks when Doppler wasn't picking up the hb. I had a freak out moment!!!
Netti-that sounds like the perfect plan! Wish I had waited! Guess I have to some degree since many of our friends don't know yet & none of our coworker's!
shannshaff thats crazy! there would be uproar here in uk if they did that haha loads of people dont have a name for a few days/weeks, yeah i wonder how it works for homebirth in that case, all mine have been homebirths so maybe id get a bit longer!! its 6 weeks here no matter where you give birth, do they keep you a while in the hospital after the birth? again here in UK its 6 hours after a normal birth and usually 24 hours for a c-section, though some people will stay longer depending on situation.
I'm in Ohio, and I stay about 3 days after each c-section!

should have booted him in his b*lls Ash i cant stand people who make comments like that, "you want a girl so bad you cant stand it" what a vile man.. so sorry our having to deal with this on top of whats happening with your grandad :(
netti we dont announce to anyone till after the birth for the same reasons, i cant be doing with the comments!!
Ash - I love both Estelle and Meila or Meelah but my heart is kind of set on Estelle for your girl. ❤️❤️I fell in love with that name the minute you write in first. Sorry about that rude comment from your uncle. Some people will
Never learn. Don't even pay attention. I m so excited for 22nd. 🤞🤞
Lolla - Thankyou dear. My appointment is again in the afternoon since I wanted dh to come too. They will be discussing genetic screening. Will keep you update as soon as I am done. Hope We get to see the baby.
Srg - Such a cute bump. You look amazing. No weight gain. Wow. I wish I could be that lucky.
Xx - So excited for you. I m going to find your bump pic in your ddg.
Pbn - How are you? Have you got results for all the tests? I also missed the pic of your bump. Did you post any? [emoji52][emoji52]
I m doing pretty much the same ladies. Sorry for not been able to come and post more. My nausea is still keeping me low on energy. No Food looks tempting anymore but I don't see any weight loss. [emoji849][emoji849]
I promise to be super active as soon as I start feeling better.

6 hours and you get to go home! That would be so wonderful. I have always had to stay overnight and then it takes 4-6 hours to get the paperwork completed once you are discharged. UGH. I hate that part. I want to be home with my babies, not in the hospital.
Ladies i need an opinion on a diaper pail. I just found out that they have stopped making diaper genie elite. I still have my old one (5 yrs old) and love it but with 2 kids in diapers i think i should get another one.
🎀 2010 🎀 2012 🎀 2016 🤰due 2018
I have a very old diaper champ. I love it because I use reg grocery sacks for the diapers and don't have to buy special inserts. But I seem to be in the minority over these. I think I will need a new one this time as it is not containing he smells at all anymore. But, it is 12 years old. So it has served us well.
I love my hospital and I love my stay there lol I'm a weird one! My insurance requires me to stay 48 hours and I'm perfectly ok with that but with 2 of my babies I've had to stay a week because of their complications and one baby was 2 weeks. I do get a little anxious towards the end!
Diaper pail I have a genie and I've always wished I had a champ that takes regular bags!
On another note my grandpa didn't make it until I found out gender [emoji20] he passed away this afternoon with all my kids and all his grandkids here and I wasn't here yet. So my babies got to experience death today which will be a first for them. But my wonderful hubby quit a busy workday to come take all the kids back to our house so they didn't have to stay. I am truly blessed

wow you have long admission times!! can you guys not ask to leave hospital earlier? sign a discharge form and then go? and i say 6 hours.. that is the standard guideline but ive known plenty of people be out in 3-4 hours for a normal birth.
id be so frustrated stick in the hospital its one of the reasons ive always had homebirths
bluebooties is the whirlpool a bath or a birthpool?
Ash im so sorry about your Grandad, thinking of you and all your family at this time xx
Thanks 4blue2pink!
I honestly do love my hospital it's like nostalgia every time I walk in there just the smell makes me want more babies. Haha. But I have had issues with my epidural the last couple times and I've been thinking about doing a natural birth this time. Do you have any tips? I've never taken classes or anything but I do know they have a birthing tub.

Ash Sorry about your granddad!!
I, too, love the hospital stay. I'm waited on hand and foot. Hot meals brought to my bed [emoji7] Love it! I don't have to worry about my baby. To each their own I suppose.

Lola - must be so hard knowing your name has been taken [emoji26]
Srg - looking great!!
Ash - I'm so sorry for your loss xo hope your children are coping okay too.
I love my hospital! I stay 5 nights after a csection. It's bliss!!! Private room, menu of food to choose.
I'm 5 weeks today....took so long to get there! First milestone... that's the thing with finding out so early. Sore BBs came back yesterday!!! I've stopped POAS too. 2 weeks until I see my dr again for my scan. Pick up my 8 seater today!!! Mummy van here I come [emoji23]

Kat it's like a mini vacation lol [emoji23] and I love the food and the nurses!
Mumoffourmonkeys I was only on the diet 7 weeks [emoji53] which isn't great odds but it was a major major change for me I have never in my life skipped breakfast and passed on meat! AND I never have not had the big O .... fingers crossed it worked for me! Oh and lots of prayers. We will see in 8 days [emoji37] I'm so nervous!!

4blue2pink its a bath tub but the water jets are soothing for after. Our hospitals dont do water births.
I tried asking to go early but no luck. Its would be considered and an AMA discharge or against medical advice. Anyway they make sure bleeding wise, feeding and newborn jaundice and such are good b4 they send u home.

Only 8 days now Ash 😮 that has gone insanely fast!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa. How are the boys doing? They are very brave ❤
Srg you look amazing and all baby!!
Xxforhubby I'm due for a catch up on your thread and am looking forward to seeing your bump!
Sky great to hear from you and hope you turn a corner with the sickness soon ❤ look forward to hearing how your appt goes!
Iwant4kids yay for 5 weeks! Have fun picking up your mummy van today! It's so exciting!
Lola I'm sure bubs heartbeat will be easier to find in the coming weeks. Maybe take your doppler to your next appt and see if your ob can find the best way to use it? I would've loved a doppler but fear I would go into panic mode too often if I don't hear be heartbeat 😕
4blue2pink I find it amazing you've had all home births 😮 it definately is not the norm here that I know of! I had a fantastic stay in my hospital especially ds2 as I went private for him. I stayed just 2 nights from memory as I felt so good and just wanted to go home but I had the option of staying 5 nights.
Bluebooties I dont use diaper pails so I'm no help there 😕 I still find it strange they don't do a nuchal scan where you are whether you are considered low risk or not. Here they do a blood test (unless you already getting NIPT) as well as the nuchal scan.
Shann is that your cat in your profile picture? I always think Russian Blue when I see it 😂
Hope all you other ladies are doing well xxoo I've just posted about what I've read the last few pages 😉
I'm laying in bed at 8am waiting for my boys to wake up still. Let them stay up latee last night as its Saturday morning hooray!!

Ok, I just got done watching Bridget Jones' Baby! I am sitting here crying! PG hormones. But it was just wonderful to see her give birth to a little boy. Awwww.
Ash, I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through something similar when I was pregnant with DS1 and it's so hard experiencing loss while planning for a new life as well. Make sure to take time for yourself.
Bluebooties, you mentioned a double stroller? What kind? I'm obsessed with baby gear!
I've never had a diaper pail and was thinking of finally getting one. Anyone have the ubbi?
Ash-I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandad! Big Hugs [emoji173]
I'll have another planned c-section, so I typically stay 2 days. It's a teaching hospital so often a group of students will come in with the dr and take turns asking questions. Or I'll have the resident come in first and then the OB will come in and ask the same questions! I don't mind b/c it's the university where I was once a student too. I def don't get much rest though with people always popping in! With DS2, I was ready to go home, but was very anemic...almost needed a blood transfusion & had to wait until they were ok with my iron levels!
