My second scan and some bloods show I haven't responded at all so they've put me back on femara at the next dose (5mg) starting today and another scan booked for next Fri. I'm glad I dont have to wait for AF at least. I'm tempted to drop the acijel. I've seen lots of places it hasnt helped your stats except reduce odds of conception, so am I possibly just slowing things down wanting to include it? Would like best odds with one attempt next O.

Yes please drop the Acijel.
Ordinarily I'd urge you to be sure you hadn't had sex for 14 days but since you had the scans and blood tests it's ok (mentioning this for the sake of others who may be reading)
Also please drop the fiber if you're taking it.
Thank you and we haven't dtd the deed cz of AF then being monitored for too many follicles. Can femara affect your appetite or is it time on diet after a while? Feeling super hungry lately and finding it hard not to fall off the wagon! Just finishing 5th month on diet.

Hormones can definitely affect your hunger levels so I would not be surprised if it's the Femara. Figure out what you really want to eat, and have it! (even if it's a cheat)
I'm going for my 1st scan post 2nd round tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous I'll O earlier than expected following the 2nd course since I already had a course. Its 4th day since last dose. Is it very common to Ov that soon? I think they work on 7 days after. Had sm ewcm yesterday. Realllly dont want to miss it.

My OPK looks 'almost' positive after 2.5hr old. I find those things so damn hard to interpret since it relies on how strong your wee is! I did one at 11am with dilute urine that was completely negative. Today's is darker than yesterdays but not dramatically so.

Yes we dtd to be safe. Omw to follicle scan now!

I am having a really hard time navigating the site and very confused on where to post and how. I know this doesn’t belong here but
Hello everyone! I have been following this site for quite some time now. I have 3 beautiful boys with my husband and we are hoping for our princess
I have been on the LE diet for 3 months now. I am currently on cycle day 17. My husband and I had an out one attempt (bd) on cycle day 14 but now today at 1pm I had a positive opk. This is my first cycle using opks so I am very new to all of this. I thought I had a positive open at day 14 but I was definitely wrong after seeing how dark my line was today! I generally have 28/29 day cycles.
My question is..is my one attempt on cycle day 14 good enough? Or should hubby and I bd one more time today since I got my positive opk? I know I have read that more than one attempt in your fertile window can sway blue so if anyone could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated!!
Do you still have a link to my chart in my coaching thread? I'll see what the OPK says today but I have a feeling yesterday was O day so we got our attempt O-1 [emoji7]

Temp is down again today, I'm leaning to a fallback pattern but wondering if we should have another attempt in an e4d timeframe to be safe?
I expected more ewcm but not sure what to expect with the meds. The best quality I saw was the day we dtd then it disappeared.

Yes keep going with e4d till you'r'e sure you've ovulated, even if you have to go all the way till your next cycle begins.
I'm not sure what you want me to look at in your coaching thread?
Just updating progesterone was 58nm on tues, def ov'd & likely both follicles.
In the tww now [emoji1696][emoji1696][emoji1696]

Excellent!! Good luck and pink dust!
I have a few packs of femara that I am loathe to throw away as they were so expensive! Does anyone here want them? I am based in the UK but can post anywhere.
Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any experience with follicle sizes and ovulation? I had a scan showing a 17mm and 12mm on right side and 16mm and 13mm on left, i believe I ovulated naturally around 3.5 days after the scan. I only felt ovukation pain on the right side nothing on the left. Is it likely just the 17mmm ovulated leaving the 16mm behind and that's why I didnt feel anything that side?
I know it's hard to believe but you can't tell what side you ovulated from reliably on the basis of O Pain. Since the body develops follicles on both sides each month, you can have pain on both sides, and many people have found that ovulation actually relieves pain (kinda like picking a big, sore zit!) while the pain on the side that did not ovulate, continues and even increases with the hormones released at O. We have had hundreds of people who were amazed to find they ovulated from the opposite side than they had thought!
That's promising to know, thanks Atomic. Just finding I'm super anxious this pregnancy for some reason. My symptoms have already started at 4 weeks so I'm hoping things are ok and its because I had 2 follicles ovulate so more progesterone and not a molar pregnancy or something like that as it didn't happen with my previous 2.
Many people find their symptoms start sooner in subsequent pregnancies. Very normal and nothing to do with the number of follicles you had (unless it is twins!)
You may need to message her by clicking on her user name, as people don't always check their posts
Thanks Atomic. I had my blood draw yesterday at 4w5days and hcg was 5700 so probably explains the symptoms. Feeling much better about it now!
Hi! I’m on my first month trying Clomid and I’m 3DPO. I hardly had any symptoms until a few days before ovulation (lots of ovary pain) and I assumed the symptoms would go away after ovulation but I still have pretty bad ovary pain. I’m not being monitored so I just wanted to see if others had similar symptoms. I had a cyst on my right ovary a few months ago (not related to Clomid at all) and it feels the same now (on the right side). Can painful cysts develop this quickly after ovulation? We had one attempt O-1.5 or 2 so I could get pregnant but obviously haven’t implanted yet. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience on Clomid!
It is TOTALLY normal to have this happen. You may start to develop more eggs than normal on Clomid which leaves more eggs to be reabsorbed. I do not think it's a cyst.
I’m in a bit of a funk about our one attempt this weekend. It’s my first round on clomid and it’s just a confirmation of why I’m on it in the first place. My LH surge last for such a short time. I tested like a maniac from days 10-14 ( using two types of OPKs). Negative days 10-13, blinks 1 on day 14 solid same day. Negative day 15.
Would you believe my surge lasted for 12-24 hours? In clear blue I only had a blinky smiley for 12 hours or less and a solid smiley was there only for another 5 hour window. ( I tested using my other type of predictive kit and saw my LH line disappear.)
What does this mean for my attempt and this cycle? Is it unlikely I even ovulated. I temp and track mucus; that all is super consistent but a different timeline entirely.
Well, just because your TEST didn't stay positive that long doesn't mean that your SURGE wasn't longer. it may be just not concentrated enough in your urine to register as positive.
But yes, you can absolutely have a surge that lasts only 12-24 hours.
If you're seeing mucus and temps not correlating to that I'd consider adding another attempt when you think you're ovulating.
Yes, maybe I’ll try the every 4 days method next month. I will be shocked if our one attempt took for multiple reasons. ( I had a forced jump and dump because we were surprised by our CO2 monitor going off. 🤦*♀️ I was ready to add an attempt but my window passed.)
It gives me another month to refine my diet at least. That and continue the hubs on a bit of a diet himself.
If you want a better chance of conception I'd have attempt every 72 hours, and if you want a better chance of pink, I'd do every 96 hours to start and then go to every 72 next time.
I know this thread is semi old, but it just dawned on me that I’m still taking some fiber with dinner (since I eat higher fat that meal), then taking my fermara at night. I didn’t think about it before that it could stop absorption, I have only take two doses, and take them at night. First night I took fermara probably 4 hours after fiber, last night about 2. My plan is to avoid fiber next couple of days, but have I screwed up the effectiveness now? I don’t ovulate on my own so I’m stressing a little now [emoji28]
No you didn't mess anything up - the fiber would already have moved on through.
I would skip it the next few days just in case you need the full amount of fats in your food to help you ovulate on the Femara, though. Sometimes fiber has cut fat so effectively that people don't see the quick response of making a lot of estrogen very quickly when on Femara. So since you don't ovulate on your own normally it makes some sense to drop it a few days to ensure you can make the estrogen you need fast.
Just wanted to update im CD17 today and still no pos/ peak opk. The past two days have been high (borderline pos opk), but I’m still not getting anything darker. With my PCOS, I always get false positives in my cycle, but never O from them unless they are darker than control line. My dr said I must have elevated lh levels normally so it takes more to trigger O. Prior to swaying I would have 3+ month cycles so I know it’s not diet related.
At this point I have dropped fiber, dropped myo before the start of this cycle, I am eating more/ very flexible dieting, decreased my exercise to 3-4 days a week, breastfeeding less, not sure what much else I can do. I only intended to be on the LE diet for 3 months, but now am hitting 5 1/2 months soon since I never ovulated at the 3 month mark. Feeling super defeated, not even sure I’m looking for feedback just trying to vent a little.

I'm sorry - but don't worry just yet, anything up till CD 21 is still completely in normal range, and even up through CD 35 is quite common.
You've made the right changes and now we need to just give it time. It takes time for your body to come back from cutting back too far, so it's not going to be a light switch unfortunately, but it will happen in time. Keep up the good work, you are doing everything just right!
