My pee stick lines for this am were darker . Ha . Not getting excited. The only other darkish line was cd 13, today is cd 22 . Almost a 10 day difference

Hey guys, I am trying to figure out if I am going to be swaying with you or not. My goal is June (birth calender) for a girl sway. The problem is that I was originally planning for March April but I just couldn't commit to the LE diet, or any swaying tactics really, I've been ridiculously busy. Pretty much, I want a girl BAD (I'm one of the heartless ones that is not so ok with another boy), and I am in the mindset that if I'm going to do it at all it has to be now (this year). I've been researching and telling myself for months that I need to buckle down and commit to LE and a full sway attempt but I just haven't been able to and I'm still really confused about a lot of the info on the forums (especially acronyms). I have seen that Atomic says that she doesn't believe in "egg priming" but then later she recommended starting LE as close to 3 months out as you can. So what do you guys think...is it too late now to start a sway (I probably wouldn't even be able to start till next week)? Should I stop beating myself up every day that I haven't started swaying yet and just give up on it for now? Or is there still plenty of time? The most stressful part is that as I said I really don't even want to try unless I know that I did everything I could TTC Girl, but the date is fast approaching and I just don't feel capable of trying to figure out LE diet and everything else right now (I've been reading for months and it all still seems like a foreign language to me) :-(. I just stressed myself out putting it all into words lol...I know how ridiculous it sounds

So that sent too early .
I didn't do anything special with my girls . With the first one I ate good amounts of meat and didn't really lose weight or anything . It would have been a good boy sway. Not planned. I ate dairy .
With the second I was on super high protein , lots of exercise, vegan menu and soy free. I had lost a lot of weight . But we baby danced a ton before, during, and after ovulation . Only took normal vitamins.

There are I guess easy ways to sway, but after 3 boys I'm convinced that if you really want something you have to commit. With DS3 I kinda swayed, I read all the stuff and when I realized how much of a lifestyle change it would take to be "girl" friendly I sort of half assed it, and well, I got another boy. lol I think swaying is best viewed as a game of chances. If you do nothing your chances are pretty close to 50/50, the more you do to way the more that ratio tips a bit. If your a gambler and it wouldn't break your heart to have a failed sway, not tipping that ratio much may be just fine for you, really it' what your comfortable doing.
As far as "egg priming" the diet isn't to prime the egg, it's to prime your body. To my understanding the LE diet is designed to trick your body into thinking times are tough, the longer you have a low nutrient diet, the higher the chance of that happening.
The acronyms are kind of confusing. I have that in my idea file for my writing as an article I need to get to lol (I write for Yahoo, not this site, but my "niche" is women's health and parenting.

I'm going all out for a boy sway this time , I hate meat but I get higher and fattier protein this way for the most part. It less stressful than packing a million snacks of low protein together . I'm targeting every little detail including cutting back on sweets . I don't even crave sugar now ! I've already packed on some pounds .
Didn't realize you could pack on pounds without sugar ! J/k . It's not any better . Haha .

I noticed the same thing Fiore, it is now rare for me to crave sugar. Even when AF was around the corner and that was my worst craving time.

Fiorefleur, from everything that I've read I'm pretty sure that testosterone is the biggest influence (at least I think it was for my two boys). When I do sway that is going to be what I focus on most. I think that the diets that atomic created address this issue along with other things. For both of my boys my husband and I were both in the Marine Corps and and I ate A LOT of fat and protein....and just about anything else I wanted too (think big juicy burgers and fries on the reg). I'm pretty sure that just about everything in my life served to raise testosterone. That's my biggest concern for trying to sway pink, I'm fairly sure that I naturally have pretty high testosterone :-(.
Unwirklich,I know you're right about committing. Knowing that is really what's stressing me out because I want it so much but I know that it's gonna take that commitment and I just can't make it happen right now. The "egg priming" thing that I was talking about was something Atomic said a couple years ago that starting the diet around three months was called egg priming because you were trying to condition the egg from the beginning of it's life. In that post (which I can't find right now) she said that 6 weeks should be fine because she didn't believe in egg priming, but then in a later post she said that they were seeing better results starting around 3 months out. Pretty much what it comes down to is that I know the answer to my question, if I really want to do it I need to get a serious and solid plan and put it into action for at least three months (because I'm pretty sure my husband and my testosterone levels will push for boys) I'm just looking for someone to tell me what I want to hear that I can diet for a month, take vitex and saw palmetto, and make a perfect princess...:-( Ugh! It's just frustrating when you want it so much and you just can't commit to making it happen.
If anyone knows of a thread that has all the acronyms could you post the link? Just if you know off the top of your head where it is. It's pretty easy to get lost in gender dreaming lol.

And yep we got a BFP a few days ago!! 😊 Did not expect it at all and still don't feel like I'm pregnant, except I'm sooo nervous cause I'm already "attached" and it's such early days. But thank you, it's exciting!

Hey guys can I join?? You guys seem like a chatty bunch!! I'm not planning anymore but actively ttc a girl I'm on my third attempt, lost 12 pounds, been on le for about 13 weeks now. I did all my planning in about a week :) maybe good I did not get a BFP on the first go! I have two boys 6 and 4 and a little more vintage at 35 so feeling content with another wee guy but trying to up the odds a bit to try for a girl. Mlane tricky!! Most people don't tend to get a BFP first attempt but then some do mum of six!!! And quite a few from Feb. I think if you have not started have time to spare age wise take the time to commit:) then you can say you did all to try for DG! Good luck in your decision xxxx

Ok girlies looks like I'm officially in the 2ww!!!!!!!!!! And way ahead of time! This is my first attempt and was planning on dtd every four days, and assumed I would ovulate cd13/14. So started using opks first time and tested on cd6 and to my absolute shock it was positive! The line was almost as dark as test line And to add to things hubby was out of town but due back during the night (thank god!!) So dtd at 6am and took another opk test later that day and it was really dark positive. Another test last night showed the line is gone lighter again. Also had sharp ovulation pains yesterday. So I'm presuming I ovulated very early as a result of vitex and diet etc. Never used opks before but hope I got it right and will catch that pink egg!! Didn't get to use zirtec or rephresh as it was all so rushed. But hoping the large glass of wine I had a few hours before might help! Nothing I can do now only wait and see I suppose. Does anyone know if we have to still take aspirin in 2ww? And kitkat you're not vintage I am, I'm 38!! :)

Actually just read back over my plan from Atomic and she explains that aspirin helps fertilised eggs to implant so going to keep taking it.

I know I asked this question before but I can't remember where and I would hate to make a post for this simple question, this is for the pink swayers if you are using rephresh how long before your first attempt did you ladies start using rephresh? 6 weeks? 1 month? TIA

Marriedmom I think you just use rephresh from af to attempt in attempt month but not 100% sure as I didn't use it. Sorry!

I'm a bit out of it. I did my 60 minutes of exercise this morning, had a salad and took my boys to the bus, well I turned the car off while we were there and when I went to leave it wouldn't start! I had to walk 1.6 miles back to my house carrying DS3, who is now like 1 1/2 years old and weighs like 35 lbs. I was in boots with no socks cause I was in a hurry to leave (also why my cell was at home) and wearing a fleece coat..I seriously stripped entirely nakid and sat in front in front of a open window facing the woods for like 30 minutes, it was so freakin' hot. I suppose better than freezing, spring just hit here, so it's about 35 degrees today rather than below zero. I'm beat, that was too low blood sugar for sure.

Ooh. Forgot to mention - af is around the corner for me and then its go time. Eeeeeks..so nervous. I am hoping and praying i can somehow delay my af or ovulation coz it falls om full moon which also happens to be lunar eclipse.
In our culture - solar and lunar babies are almost always assumed to be boys coz supposedly, lunar eclipse does something weird to women's cycle blah blah

lol Yeah, the winters up here will do that to you, 35 would seem freezing in the summer, right after a long winter it's tshirt weather. I had to get on my older two cause they keep trying to go outside in just shorts, no shoes or anything, the snow isn't even all gone for cripes sake :awe: my viking boys.
Eeek indeed on the fullmoon/eclipse...the 19th is a hard one too, right at the beginning of a full moon, you'd have to delay it alot to land in a new moon, maybe you'll get lucky and AF will be early, catch the end of the new moon phase.
*TMI* I have some eggwhite cm today. I did an OPK earlier today and the second line had more colour in it then it should have. I'll do another OPK later today see what happens with that.
It's all good, OPK didn't get any darker...phew!

Okay, I might be right. The OPK I did about 15 mins ago was much lighter then the previous one. Let's hope I did ovulate a week ago. Expecting AF in around 6 days.
