Kat I've only gotten my hb to register about three times if you got the same one from Lola's link it has to be super strong and loud for it to register right. And I've also noticed both times I've heard it at the dr it was faster than the Doppler said.

Ash - how often are you checking? I can see me getting addicted [emoji51] Is daily too much?

I check daily [emoji12] I love to hear him/her play around at night time! I can't feel kicks yet but I can hear them and I have "baby time" before I go to sleep. [emoji177]

Hello everyone. The appointment was good. Baby measured 10w1d which is correct. I am going for my blood draw tomorrow morning for genetic screening and will schedule for my nuchal next week. She did an u/s and we saw the baby. ❤️❤️
Ash - Sorry to hear about your grandpa. So sweet that he was surrounded with his grandchildren. And how wonderful is your dh. How are you doing?

So happy to read this sky! How was it seeing baby?!😀 So are you getting gender as part of the genetic testing? (That's nipt right?) Did you get a pic?!!

The baby was moving. She magnified the screen for us. [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]I told her that I don't want to find out the gender. She said just let the u/s tech know. Dh still wants to find
Out. The Np was sooo good. She said she is going to be super excited to see if I would cave in. And dh said he won't spill no
Matter what. [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c83255c777.jpg

Sky I love babies at this stage I think they look like little gummy bears!

Blue-I missed your post earlier. My boys are 19 months apart & the double stroller def comes in handy!!
Pbn-I'm afraid I'm going to go into panic mode if I don't find it soon lol. I know there are a lot of factors...I could have an anterior placenta like I did with DS1 for all I know.
Kat-that's so awesome! I could see the numbers popping up in the 150s, but could only hear my own hb.
Sky-great to hear! Look at your cute baby growing!
OMG! I just found the heartbeat with my Doppler! Music to my ears!!! [emoji173]
HR registered at 159. Love that beautiful sound!!
ash if you want a natural birth then go for it :) if you have the option of a pool then i would take it up, you can always get out if you dont like it!! by issues do you mean that your epidural didnt fully work? i imagine that is very unpleasant being partially numb and unable to move around to ease what you can feel :-/
pbn homebirths are really normal here in the UK they are offered in every area :) we also have hospitals (obviously haha) and birth centers so there is quite a bit of choice!
sky so cute! is that an eye and the nose too? im not very good at making out scan pics!
4blue2pink I have contractions fast and stron but when I get my epidural labor slows massively so then I end up with pitocin which makes me swell like a balloon for at least a week and my body takes so well to the epidural I can walk for a day after I have it which is super annoying so I thought maybe I can avoid all these things by skipping the epidural this time

Ok allthis baby Doppler talk I think I'm going to get one now! I wanna hear baby anytime! Which ones are you guys using?
Sonoline B Fetal Doppler with 3Mhz probe in Pink here is the one we've all bought I think.

Ash-YES! I was starting to get worried! It made me so happy [emoji173] I don't know how to post videos on here or I would!!
Ok, put it on my YouTube. See if this works! Don't know how accurate the hr is? Looks like 159.

Awww so sweet Lola [emoji177] I just love hearing it! It seems on mine it's pretty close but my last visit Tuesday was measured with the u/s and was 164 usually my Doppler picks up 150s

ash that doesnt sound fun :( would your doctor/midwife (sorry im not sure how it works in the us) be supportive of you not getting the epidural? last thing you would need is them in your ear going "do you want the epidural yet?" the whole way through! as i said i dont know much about the US system but i have heard that some hospitals over there arent very supportive of women who want to do anything other than the standard get epidural ASAP and then stay put in the bed till after its all done kinda thing..
4blue2pink yes my hospital is amazing and are very supportive either way. I will more than likely wimp out when the pain gets bad but for now I'm just keeping an open mind
[emoji170](07) [emoji170](09) [emoji170](14)[emoji170](15) 🤰 and dreaming [emoji177](18)
thats great that they are supportive :D are there other pain meds you could have instead of epidural? they offer diamorphine here and ive known a few people have it and they all say it was amazing! its similar to pethedine but it doesnt make you sick which is a plus!!
Lola - that's awesome! I don't even care if the rate is accurate, I just like hearing the sound! Thank you so much for suggesting. It really makes my day every day [emoji5] I tried to record mine today but I wasn't coordinated enough to hold wand and my phone [emoji23]
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4blue2pink they do offer other pain meds I'm not sure what they are I've only had them once when I came in and they couldn't get me an epidural fast enough [emoji23][emoji23] I'm for real a baby!
[emoji170](07) [emoji170](09) [emoji170](14)[emoji170](15) 🤰 and dreaming [emoji177](18)
ash thats so funny :) you can totally rock a natural birth if its what you want :) ask what other pain med options they have and talk it through with them see what they suggest! it may be that they approach a non-epidural birth very differently, keeping the room calmer/quieter/low lights/use of the pool of you want it etc.. its worth knowing your options if the epidural hasn't been the best fit for you in the past
plus its your 5th baby and you've had 4 normal deliveries already.. baby's gonna be out in like 2.4 seconds ;)
Beautiful sound Lola ❤❤
4blue2pink "out in like 2.4 seconds" 😂😂😂 love it!

4blue2pink my babies have all been super small and I'm trying to hold this one in until after Christmas so he/she could be a bit bigger and that scares me [emoji15]!

Ash- How big are your babies usually? How many weeks do you typically go into labor at? All my babies were bigger except my daughter she was 7 pounds. My first son was 8 pounds 13 ounces he was the biggest and that was the most painful of all my deliveries. I will say that no matter the size of the baby they all hurt but if you can walk through the contractions or sit on a birthing ball that helps a lot and try to breath as calmly as you can when you have contractions it really helps. Also have your husband rub your back where it hurts. And definitely the worst type of delivery pain for me was having to lay in bed to push them out. With my daughter I was allowed to be on my hands and knees and it was by far the least painful quickest and easiest delivery of them all. I definitely prefer no epidural the recovery for me anyway is way quicker. When it gets really painful you are almost there and they come out quickly. My daughter took 2 pushes and she was out. And the labor lasted about 5-6 hours total from beginning of contractions to her being out. Since this is your 5th child it should go quickly.
Kat-honestly someone else recommended the sonoline B Doppler & I'm drawing a blank-dreaming maybe?
Ok oops, hit send by accident, I was going to say that I was excited to find that website with a good price!
Busy day, my good friend stopped by with her 5 month baby girl & OMG she had the cutest baby boho chic outfit with the cutest bow & the cutest socks! Maybe holding a precious baby girl will bring me some luck lol [emoji166] Then we visited my mom's house for awhile & I picked up my maternity clothes that she was storing for me yay!
Ash-I remember you saying that you were taking an expensive medicine-is that supposed to help you keep your baby in longer or am I confused?
Momoffourboyz my first tried to come at 34 weeks and with meds and bed rest we got him held off till 39 he was 6lb13oz 2nd had iugr and I was induced at 37 he was 5lb 9oz third was 35 weeks he was 5lb 2oz and fourth came at 36w6d and was 5lb 11oz surprisingly my fourth hurt the worst because he came out sideways! Thanks for the tips! Maybe I can do it mine usually come out with a couple pushes also.
Lola yes I am having to start weekly progesterone shots next visit and they're supposed to help you not have contractions. I will take them from 16w-36w. Luckily I had no side effects last pregnancy so hopefully it's the same this time. Yay for maternity clothes I sold all mine [emoji30]. I'm really considering a pair of belly bandit leggings for this winter and a pair of wallflower mat. Jeans and I think I'll be Set.

Ash- Oh my goodness they were tiny babies! Mine all stayed in until the 40th week or over. I did everything to get labor started at 37 weeks but it wouldn't start until they were ready to come out. I can't imagine sideways, ouch. My daughter was facing the wrong way when she was coming out but it was surprisingly still less painful than laying in bed with that pressure on my back. For me the back pain is what is the worst.
Ash-little babies! Hope the shots help! I'm hope to not spend too much $ on maternity clothes. In an ideal world, I'd like to spend it on a girl instead haha.
aww ash they are dinky :) mine have been a bit of a mixed bag weight-wise,
number 1 40 weeks 6lbs 8oz
number 2 39 weeks 5lbs 15oz (suspected IUGR)
number 3 39 weeks 7lbs 15oz
number 4 40 weeks 7lbs 2oz
number 5 40 weeks 7lbs 14oz
number 6 40 weeks 7lbs 14oz
oddly both my girls were the same weight.
bigger baby honestly doesnt equal more pain, fingers crossed this one stays in a while longer for you :) i reckon if you go to 39/40 weeks youd be looking at about 7lbs
