4blue2pink and Ash that's crazy to think about cold weather in January [emoji23] it gets hot and humid where I am so air conditioning is a must on the worser days. I'd rather be hot than cold though. Its odd to hear of snowstorms and the like as the only way I see snow is in pictures or on tv [emoji23] We are in our last days of winter now and this has been by far the mildest winter so far [emoji50]

Maxim how exciting finding a new house! I could never live in a large city myself but my sisters and brother are scattered in three different capital cities in Australia.

I keep getting notifications at work about Harvey and its’ aftermath – hope all of you are safe, as well as your loved ones that may be in the area!

PBN – very cute bump, no mistaking that :awe: am sure bub is kicking up a storm :D
I grew up in Europe, so have been in both types of climates – and admittedly, I have acclimatised so much so that I get cold at temperatures that I would never have 10 years ago haha having said that, I miss my cold Xmases, snuggled up and cosy at home , watching the snow fall…not so fun when you have to go to work in the slushy snow though haha
We don’t have aircon in the house yet – needless to say I told hubby it was not negotiable, so we got a guy to get us quotes which I am waiting on – no way am I doing another stinky hot and humid summer with no aircon, heavily pregnant and with two littlies….if I have to sell half of my house to fund the aircon, so be it :rofl:
What’s a quick way to get loads of cash these days? Selling panties online or something?? :rofl:

XXfor hubby- just love bumps, and yours is super cute :awe: you’ll be able to count down days now that you are W-4weeks :D
Agree, to me the newborn stage is a bit of a love/hate thing too– so exhausting but definitely a period that flies by and that we then all miss so dearly! Love when they can cradle so easily in your neck and you can breathe them all in :awe:

Max – so exciting about the move – best of both worlds, really! :D and yay for the getaway, how very thoughtful of your hubby! ^^

Sky – woohoo – so happy to read you – sounds like you indeed had a few hectic weeks ^^ is hubby ok now? What grade is your daughter in, is school going ok for her? Are you back at work then?
No fun with having to keep track of your BS levels – I must have missed the GD part :(

Iwant4 – worry not, you did the Generation, right? These tests are very accurate now these days – not like even just 4-5 years ago – you can be pretty confident this is your girl cooking in there!
Understand you won’t truly believe it until you see the potty shot on the scan, but I think you can start planning around having a daughter of your own soon! ^^

4B2P – I had a different middie at hospital last times, but this times am trying to get into the MGP program so I can have the same midwife throughout – that continuity of care is the best model in my view, and has the best outcomes so fingers crossed so hard I get a spot :D

mamato3 and bluebooties that is shocking :( i honestly had no idea it was like that over there, and the holidays too! here everyone who works full time gets 6 weeks paid holiday per year as standard, it sounds like your being punished for having babies :(

mamato3 does that mean that for the first week of your baby's life you are on unpaid leave? why on earth wont they let you make the claim earlier than that? surely they realise that no one will be able to return to work for that week!! and only 8 weeks for a c-section is cutting it fine when over here they say 12 weeks to be fully healed from one :-/ does all this vary state by state?

sky it good to see you back :) no i havent found out the gender im 100% team green, i have had no scans so no temptation or revealing shots haha

max that is so exciting about your move :) i couldnt cope living in a big city especially with children and i imagine NYC is on another level to anything we have here in the UK!! funnily enough we are moving in a couple of weeks to a much more rural location on the edge of a small village which will be lovely, the garden backs onto fields which is so nice, no more being over looked from all angles :D

pbn i cant imagine hot weather at christmas haha! though it would be pretty cool to be able to have xmas dinner outside :)

Max- hope all is going well for you. I hope to hear an update after your next appointment. How exciting that you are going to move!
4b2p- where I am at we have no midwives just obs. I have never been offered the option to do a water birth although it sounds like it would be nice to try. Every delivery they have forced me to sit in bed except for the last one with my daughter I refused and told them no. They were upset they called my doctor in and I told him i didn't want to and he told the nurses that I could labor how I wanted to. So I labored standing then squating and then had to go on the bed on hands and knees so my daughter wouldn't hit the hard floor. But the pain was much more bearable this way. Medication free and with my son's it was much worse because of having to remain stationary in a bed even though I had no medication they still made me stay there to monitor me. This time I am planning on the same walking around until I am almost completely dialated then hands and knees for delivery. It is SO much easier and helps baby to turn properly.
Ash- cute dresser, cant wait to see the nursery all decorated and ready to go.
Mommaxo- congrats on your baby girl!

Lola and mommy- I like those middle names to go with Evan. Now I just have to figure out which one sounds the best.
Lola- hope all is going well for you. Those were some cute girl outfits by the way!☺

4blue2pink we normally do an xmas lunch and its hot and sticky and yucky when outside not to mention the flies [emoji21] nighttime would be just as bad outside with all the flying bugs [emoji23] I much prefer xmas lunch indoors in air con unless there's a pool to jump in [emoji6]

Momoffourboyz I cant believe you were forced to bed sit!!! So glad your doc told them its to be however you darn well please! When I was going thru labour with ds1 they had me on a birth ball, on my knees with holding onto the raised bed with my hands, on a birthing stool they were fantastic! I ended up having an emergency c-section but my midwives were great!
