:rofl::rofl::rofl:
I would love to join you girls on this thread. You are all doing so well and I am going to need some motivation :) I haven't fully decided when we are going to try...it might be this month though (although I should be on the diet longer).
My stats: 130lbs (yikes, heaviest ever for me!) After 2 days on diet: 126.5lbs
Yesterday:
breakfast: coffee with skim milk
930: Yoplait light yogurt
1200: mini bagel, tiny bit of cream cheese, sugar free jam, cup of strawberries with splenda
300: Yoplait light yogurt
600: 1 cup pasta, small amount of tomato sauce, and parmesan. One apple with no skin.
Cal: 1056
Fat: 22.7
Prot: 39.2
Sod: 705 mg
I feel like I did okay...I am still trying to push breakfast back and get rid of snacks....those are the two hardest things for me :(
I'm really excited to join you girls and FX we all get BFP's soon because this diet is terrible!
Good job, pinkpaisley! and :welcome:
Oh, I love that pic of your 3 boys there.
And I´m sorry about your baby angel girl :HH:
Yesterday I had...
7 and 9 coffee w/ asp and coffeemate
11 asp oatmeal
... diet soda and crystal light
3 asp oatmeal
... diet soda and crystal light
7 chicken tacos with onion and bell peppers
10 crystal light and a candy bar :)
Well done everyone and welcome PinkPaisley!
I accidentally went a bit over on sodium today. For some reason I'm feeling a bit down and like I can't be bothered - not with the diet in particular but just in general. Anyhow:
Lunch: Low fat cheese slice and cucumber with 2 white bread. Cheese & Onion hoola hoops. 2 sweets.
Dinner: Wrap with feta, cucumber and balsamic. Bakewell tart. 2 sweets.
Snack: Hopefully some sweets - I've asked DH to buy me some Skittles on the way home!
Sorry you're feeling down, zanacal. It happens to all of us. I've been trying to give myself a break when I go slightly over for protein or sodium, since no matter what it's still a dramatic change from my diet before TTC. Yesterday I had trouble with protein. I wasted too much of my daily budget at lunch and had the choice of going slightly over at supper or eating pretty much nothing. I opted for the former, of course - I was so hungry I would have eaten my arm if someone put some salt on it!
Thanks Mocha. AF is due tomorrow so I'm sure my mood is something to do with that! I'm not fussed about the sodium either, it's only one day and I think it's the least important of the limits to stick with. How's the 2ww - do you feel optimistic about getting a BFP?
I really hope I get one this month and I think I have a pretty good chance! I'm sooooo desperate to eat again!
Oh Mocha I so hope that this month is THE month!!!
Z- I feel the same way about the sodium- When my mother conceived my sis and I she used to eat sauteed veggies smothered in beef gravy for dinner(no meat at all just veggies). I'm sure her sodium levels were quite high but her protein levels were very low. I'm really trying to keep my protein down now...it's slowly getting easier but I honestly don't know how you gals have stuck to this for so long! I'm in awe!
PinkPaisley- Welcome to the thread! This is the thread that never ends.....yes it goes on and on my friends....
I was really good yesterday:) Until 11pm.... LOL
9am- Tea
11:30am- 2 pieces of white toast with strawberry jam
3pm- low sodium homemade soup
7pm- salad with cranberries, apples and tblsp of shredded cheddar with balsamic vinegar(plus 2 bites of my kids battered fish...yum!!!)
This is where I fell off the wagon....1/2cup strawberries with whipped cream and then a waffle bowl full of homemade icecream! I know it's stuff I can eat but I definitely went over on Cals.... I was at a ladies night out and I was there until 2:30am....so I got pretty hungry and my blood sugar was non existent. Or at least that's how I justify it:)
Didn't tally my points but oh well. Today's a new day:)
Your day doesn't sound that bad, DM. I admit I often have something sweet later in the evening - I just can't make it from supper to lunch the next day without eating!
Hello lovely ladies!! Welcome new people to the thread.
I am so bored of this diet, I can hardly be bothered to write what I'm eating!!
No breakfast
Lunch 2pieces of toast with cucumber and tiny bit of yogurt, strawberries, yogurt, biscuit
Dinner rice, courgette, mushroom, green beans, Parmesan, frozen yogurt, more strawberries
Few sweets but having to lay off tutti frooties as my filling is crumbling, oh dear!! Don't know how I'm going to explain the state of my teeth to the dentist!!
Zani, I have felt like this lately and especially around af, I wondered if it might be the vitex??
Mocha, I think your attempt looks fab, I'm going to be seriously depressed for you if you don't get a bfp!!!! I think I'll be entering the 2ww as you leave it!!
Thanks swish, it's 2 weeks since I've taken vitex so I guess it's not that! Lol at not being bothered writing what you've eaten - I know what you mean! I had my Skittles but Tutti Fruttis are so much better :D Starving now so I suppose I'll pour myself a big glass of coke - there go my teeth too!
Oh crap, just messed up and ate 6 custard cream biscuits! That's 345 cals I shouldn't have had - although I suppose it's still only 1500 or so for the day. I should go to bed before I'm tempted by anything else, thank goodness tomorrow is another day.
Z- I'm so starving today and have Zero will power so just the sound of custard creams makes me want to hop on a flight to England just to have some! That and a whole bag of cadbury chocolates.....drool~ oh and to meet you of course! :D
My mom and dad are Brits(I'm 1st gen. Canadian) so we used to go to England to see relatives every few years, and I have to say that the treats are just so darn good over there! I lived in Brussels for 1.5 years as well and I still dream of the Patisseries I used to frequent..... My name is____ and I'm a foodaholic
Thanks DM - the funny thing is I don't eat biscuits at all usually! Where are your family from? Starving hungry again so off to bed. Night x
My mom is from London- born in Lambeth, raised in Clapham and Battersea and my dad was born in Bristol and raised in Bath and Brighton. I've been all through Kent and London. I really love Southern England:)
I did a bit better today:
7am: coffee
12pm: 1/2 a Montreal style bagel with 1/2 tbsp low fat peanut butter, rice milk, a peach
5:30pm: black bean quesadillas. I took 1/2 cup of no salt added black beans and 1 cup no salt added tomatoes, and cooked them in a pot for about 5 minutes with a bunch of fresh cilantro. I then spread half of the mixture on two sodium-free corn tortillas, added about 20g of shredded light cheddar to each and topped with another tortilla. I cooked them one at a time (on both sides) in a hot pan to toast the tortillas and melt the cheese. I then topped each with a bit of plain yogurt and 1tbsp fresh salsa. It was very yummy and very satisfying, and well within the nutritional guidelines! I splurged on the cheese - I could have used 15g on each for 30g total, but I really felt like something cheesy. I also had 2 sugar free cookies and a peach for dessert.
9pm: low fat vanilla ice cream with raspberries, about 4 small golden plums
Calories: 1268
Protein: 41g
Sodium: 856mg
Mocha-FX this is your BFP and, hopefully, it starts a trend :)
I feel like I did pretty well today, but it is going to be so hard to keep this up....I know you girls say it gets better but the hunger pains are awful!!
7am-coffee and skim milk
12pm-raspberries, mini bagel, tiny cream cheese, jam
3pm-mini bagel, tiny cream cheese, jam, yoplait light
7pm-salad (iceburg lettuce, cucumber, little bit of tomato, little bit of balsamic), pasta with butternut squash and goat cheese mixed in.
Cal: 1174

Looks good, PinkPaisley! I often have pasta with butternut squash, but I usually use parmesan. Next time I'm going to try goat cheese - that sounds yummy!
I took the advice of some of the other ladies here and have started having a Diet Coke/Pepsi mid-afternoon, just when the hunger pangs hit. It really does help full your stomach to keep you going until supper time! I still have a snack/mini-meal in the evening, though - I just need to have something to look forward to after I finally get the kids in bed!
Your dinner sounds so good mochagirl :D You're doing great too PinkPaisley!
DM - I live around 45 minutes from Bath. So funny because happyheart has also visited there!
I'm up for the day and ready to be a good girl again, trying not to feel guilty about my little splurge last night because I can't go back in time! My family are about to eat pains au chocolat again. I might put a peg on my nose ...
That´s mean though that they´re eating pains au chocolat, zanacal
Yesterday I had my usual boring meals getting at 1300 calories, 38 g of protein, 26 of fat and 330 mg sodium.
I found babyfood tomatosauce at the supermarkt, it still has 380 mg sodium in it.
A lot better though than the amatriciana sauce DH is cooking now for lunch that he wants me to eat, the bacon he puts in it has 3500 mg sodium :suprise:
PinkPaisley – you’re off to a great start. For me, I started gradually cutting out my snacks/meals…I used to be a 5-6 meal Mama (but I was still a size 2 when I ate like this). It will get easier and everyone here gives so much support and humor, especially through the tough times.
Kelly, it’s the trend that matters. Also, IMHO (emphasis on humble, lol), I think that sodium is the least swaying factor we’re watching. While we still need to watch the sodium, it’s the fat/protein that creates T. You’re doing a SUPER JOB!
Mocha, oh, I do hope you get preggers this time! You will have wonderful conception stories although they may be a bit X-rated, lol. Swish, you won’t be far behind w/your BFP!!!
DM – you’re doing great! I know you splurged a bit on the ice cream but think about how much better you’re doing than before! That wasn't even that bad really. You still have a ways to go before you’ll TTC so there’ll be a few wrong turns now and then but the trend will be good and you’ll still be losing.
   Hi, I'm Jen and I'm a foodaholic! Just ask DH, lol. It's funny how you get used to wonderful, comforting food where ever you live. I lived in Sri Lanka for almost 3 yrs and ate something made out of coconuts at EVERY meal. I miss my coconut curries...I know it sounds gross but they were seriously nirvana! :( Speaking of smilies, we need a "Stuff Your Face" smilie!
BTW, I just got a BFP last night…??? :holysheep: :nails:
We weren’t TTC last time and I still don’t know how it happened since it was 7 days before I O’d…I’m over the moon but now starting to feel a bit deflated b/c I was doing really well w/my diet…starting at 2dpo…sigh.
Oh my Gosh, Out of the Blue! Congratulations!!!! It was meant to be :) I am SO excited for you! Who is next? :)
That´s amazing OOTB, congrats again, I answered you on your thread :kissy:
I want to take back being a little negative about babyfoods tomatosauce, :omg: was that good after months of plain noodles !!!
I still can't believe it Out of the Blue - absolutely this was meant to be! I 'let' DH DTD unprotected like a week after I O'd and the day before AF arrived and he was convinced I'd get pregnant from that. Urr, no dear, even you're not capable of that!!
My food for today:
Lunch: Apricot croissant, toddler crisps, 2 sweets.
Dinner: Dry fried tortilla wrap topped with roasted yellow courgette, red pepper and mushroom, kids tomato pasta sauce and 30g melted cheddar. This was so good that I can't stop thinking about it - will probably eat it again tomorrow! Bakewell tart for pudding.
Snack: Tutti fruttis (when these kids finally go to bed!!).
Omg, ootb, congratulations!!!!! I am so pleased for you!!!!
Today I had
No breakfast
Lunch prezzo flatbread pizza with salad, 3 White chocolate fish and chips!!
Dinner rice with courgette, mushroom, balsamic and tiny bit if Parmesan, strawberries with meringue, frozen yogurt and tooti frooties
I'm so happy for you OotB. Here's hoping there's a healthy pink bean in there!!! Enjoy eating real food again - I'm jealous!
Today wasn't a great day because we were at a friend's cottage for the day. I didn't have a lot of control over meals. I was able to keep my protein low enough, but went way over for sodium:
7am: coffee
1pm: 2 very small pieces of cheese pizza (I sooooo wanted more - my stomach was still grumbling when I finished my tiny portion - but I was good and held off)
5pm: veggie burger, 1/2 piece of wild blueberry tart...and 2 small magic cookie squares (a yummy concoction of condensed milk, coconut, graham crumbs and chocolate chips. ds took one and didn't like it, so before I knew it I had popped it into my mouth to finish it for him. The taboo chocolate tasted so good I'd eaten another before I came to my senses)
10pm: a few small yellow plums
Calories: 1050
Protein: 40g
Sodium: 1400mg (!!!)
I am sooooooooo ready to be done with this diet. I just want to be able to enjoy food again without constantly obsessing over its sodium and protein content. Just 8 more days till I can test. DH will be away on a research trip in the UK, but I don't think I want to wait till he gets back to test.
did not do so well today. I did great this morning...I made it until 11 for breakfast..YAY! but then a good friend came over for dinner and I got side tracked.
7 am- coffee with skim milk
11- butternut squash pasta with goat cheese
230-mini bagel with cream cheese and jam
630- two portabello mushrooms grilled in balsamic, sprinkled with goat cheese lettuce and tomato, sweet potato
8-small piece of yellow cake with custard and berries...I know! Horrible, my friend brought it to dinner and I had to try it!
confession: I also had a glass of wine :(
cal 1626
fat 43
prot 50
sod 1011
:( not a good day
That cake doesn't sound too bad - sweets are ok on this diet. I also wouldn't worry too much about the wine - I know I've indulged in a glass or two over the past few months, and I didn't concren myself too much about it as long as it didn't become a regular thing.
Where did all your protein and sodium come from? Your food for the day looks pretty good. Maybe you used too much goat cheese with your meals? I bought a kitchen scale and weigh things obsessively. A portion of cheese is often way smaller than you think. Also, a lot of us girls eat rice pasta instead of regular pasta because it has about half the protein.
I still think you're doing great!
I don't think your day sounds bad either PinkPaisley!
Here's my Sunday:
Lunch: Wrap with roasted vegetables, 1/2 tin of tomatoes and feta. Bakewell tart. 2 sweets.
Snack: Strawberry and white chocolate cereal bar (not much cereal, lots of sugar!). 1 sweet.
Dinner: Macaroni and mushrooms with Bisto cheese sauce. WW toffee and honeycomb ice-cream sundae (thanks swish, this was so good!). 1 glass wine :D
today we were on a city trip, DH wanted to take the boys to McDonalds, so I watched them eat there and then ate a cheese sandwich and a apple-in-a-crost kind of pie afterwards.
Then at dinner I had GF pasta with kid´s tomatosauce with aubergine and zucchini, salad, an activia yoghurt and rice chips (cinnamon sugar flavour), I found these at my store, they´re a nice treat.
NOW I JUST WANT TO SNACK :sigh:
Hi ladies!!
Sunday was the usual right off for me again!!!
No breakfast
1130 go ahead bar and 1 small piece of toast (don't know why I ate this!!!)
late lunch new potatoes, salad, 3 slices of hallumi cheese (I found out after I probably ate 1200mg sodium in this alone!!), 2 slices of olive ciabatta bread, roasted vegetables. A few pieces of crunchy chocolate. Chocolate brownie ice cream. Oh dear!!!
I shouldn't eat again but I'm hungry so I'm having plain rice with beans and balsamic.
I don't calculate my overall amounts but I think I'm drastically over today, I'll be good tomorrow!!
