Oh and odd I have seen so many pink sways that were successful in full moons. I wouldn't worry one bit about that.

Ugh, my alternator is kaputs. Annoys me, because we were already actively looking for a new car to trade this POS (not pee on a stick abbreviation there)..$170 just for the part.
And my bad luck keeps on kicking, TMI here, but I got my first ever yeast infection a few days ago. I had some monostat 7 on hand because my my DS3 gets yeast-based diaper rash semi-often, so I use it, seems to be working, no biggy. Day 2, kind burns, I didn't think much of it. Day 3 felt like someone shoved a hot iron in me ..I'm so allergic to monostat. Ugh, on top of burning and ouch if I can't get this better by next week I could see it seriously screwing up my attempt.
unwirk I am so sorry you are having such a poorly time! How frustrating! Hoping your days get better.
Oh no unwirklich :( Bleeping cars! hopefully it isn't much more money to do the repair. Major ouch at the infection and the allergic reaction :( that's sounds excruciating. I hope it clears up soon. Fingers crossed it doesn't stuff up your attempt.

Unwirklich... sorry you are having a rough few days. I know cars can suck sometimes, these things always happen at the worst time.
Oh no umwirklich. What a pain to have to go through car troubles. And I hope ur infection clears up soon.
Well ladies, as expected, AF showed up riht on time. I wonder if I should be nervous that my cycles are sooo regular now matter how hard I try to throw them off. I should jist go ahead with my attempt coz I know we'll always find endless list of things to worry about

odd-- all 3 of my boys were conceived in new moons or super near to the new moon phase. The moon phases mean absolutely nothing, I am proof!
If I ovulate when I am suppose to that baby will be conceived in a new moon as well...so they better not mean anything, lol.
oh oops. I just reread and it said fullmoon/ eclipse. I still don't put any stock into though!! New moon is suppose to be girl and clearly that was wrong for me. I doubt the eclipse would do anything at all.
Now that I think about it...all 3 of my boys were conceived on a new moon too..
Geez, I hope I follow the new moon thing that you guys have followed. If I ovulate around the same time next cycle, it will 3-4 days before a new moon.
Good luck daisy!! That's a very early ovulation though I would take that any day over my delayed one!! Cycle day 23 last time. Just got back from an anniversary night away minus kids so nice to have a few drinks and cheats and remember life without kids missed them so much though!!! Xxxxxxx

My goodness my body has gone mad! Since I got a positive opk last Sunday and Monday when I had my attempt, I have been testing daily since and all opks have been negative. Then today I get a big fat positive opk on cd11 which makes much more sense cycle wise. Can't figure any of it out really. So off to the shops to stock up on lots of wine for my second attempt tonight!

Mind if I join you ladies? :)Not new or anything just came from the March 2ww thread, I think I've seen some of you there.
I've got a BFN today (13dpo) :(, expecting AF tomorrow or latest on Sunday.
Somehow I was secretly hoping during my attempt if I had been on the LE diet longer (which at that time was only 6 weeks) and at the same time i really wanted a 2014 baby, still do though.:D

Hey Welcome flowerlily You still might have a 2014 baby If you get a bfp next cycle you might deliver your baby early and still make it in 2014!
Welcome flower!
Daisy- you may have had that lh surge. Was your opk super positive last time or was it a tough call??
Hi Rosie, it was super positive on cd7, I would say 100% and the positive on cd6 was nearly as dark. Today's one I 'think' is just as dark. My eyes are gone googly at this stage. I keep moving it to different windows to see if it gets lighter. If anyone saw me they would have me committed ha!!

Welcome flowerlily and GL to all the ladies who are attempting in April!
I've been on the diet for 4 days (with the exception of a couple of bites of meat the other night) and have lost NOTHING. I know I'm impatient, but I'm incredibly frustrated because when I do low carb diets and indulge in cheeseburgers and eggs and those sort of foods I'm never hungry and typically lose 5 lbs the first week of the diet. I'll try to be patient, but it's hard. I'm hungry often and not eating meat is awful. The only thing keeping me going is the idea that I could be skinny! I'll give it another 10 days and then maybe switch to the PCOS version of the diet if this still isn't working..
blue- it will come. It took me 2 weeks to really notice a weight loss. You don't want to lose too much too quickly just in case it takes a while to conceive. You don't want to get to a point where you can't sway correctly. .The time will start to go quickly. I thought the same as you back in January and was frustrated and discouraged at the whole weight thing. It is now April 4th and I am 3 weeks out from attempt! It went more quickly than I thought it would and I have lost over 20 lbs!
Rosie - 20 lbs?!? Wow!!! We are likely not attemting until July at this point, so you are right and it's good that my weight loss is slow so I will still have weight to lose in July. I have 20 lbs to lose to get to my lowest adult weight. It seems like so much weight right now and so slow, but I need to learn to stop being so impatient! Did you work out as well?
Rosie - good for you! I had originally decided to go couch potato route but I'm leaning towards adding it to my sway. That's smart to work up to 6 days a week. Maybe I Can start once a week or twice a week and then get up to 6 days by 6 weeks before my first attempt.
I think that would a be a good plan blue! It's important to not overdo it right away so you don't quit. I am nervous I won't get pregnant my first try out. I did every other time. I don't know if I have the gusto to keep exercising so much!
Meant to add hopefully a pink one;) I never delever early, and that's making me nervous.
In my mind I wanted a 2014 winter baby, and it does make a little sense (at least to me..lol) not so according to DH! Men!
Ds1 was born 2010 summer 10 day late weighing a whopping 4.45kg.
Ds2 was born 2012 summer, 5 days late (though we were moving houses, so there were lots of moving/lifting boxes) weighing 3.89kg.
So this time I want to experience birth and new born during winter.

Wow Rosie that's amazing weight loss Well done girl! Bet you feel great all the same do you?
As Rosie said Blue it will take a bit of time for the weight loss to.kick in You definitely don't want to loose too much I've lost 18lbs and I'm trying to stay put which is harder than trying to loose weight!
flowerlily My first 2 ds were overdue but my third was a week early so you never can tell
I did another opk an hour ago and its super dark ........ The mind boggles! Better tell hubby it's his lucky night!!! ;)

Good job on your weight loss too Daisy!!! I unfortunately need to lose more. My BMI is still over 23. I was looking to get to 22, which is for optimum health. So I need to lose another 10 pounds. I do feel good though!
Well what you've lost so far is amazing. And as Atomic says any weight loss at all generally sways pink so you're well in the pink zone I reckon.

I have exactly another 10 lbs to me goal too. :) I wasn't losing much at first, really slowly, but I think it was that I wasn't getting the exercise in. I got it in all last week, lost 5 lbs. I'm down 10 and have 10 more to go, but my attempt is in like 4 days, so I doubt I'll see it. 10 lbs got me to no longer obese by bmi standards though :) Do you guys know if we are supposed to continue the exercise in the tww?
I'm also super confused with this clomid stuff, they say it's supposed to dry you out..hah! Not even close. Suppose antihistamines are still in my near future.
Hi unwirklich, I asked the same question about the exercise during the 2ww and Atomic said to continue. And it kind makes sense, couse if you don't get a BFP first month ttc..then it's like 2 weeks wasted without exercise as exercise for pink is getting great results.:)
I'm kind of in the 2ww, (still keeping the exercise) got a BFN yesterday at 13dpo..today no sign of AF, will test again tomorrow.
Seriously guys, I'm kind of jealous of all the weight loss, well done on you!;)

So reading through everyone's posts I'm a bit confused about the exercise issue. I was under the impression that for pink sways we aren't supposed to exercise unless we are doing heavy cardio every single day, as our only exercise. Is this not the case?
Also pink swayers, I would love you forever if you posted a list of your go to LE foods and meals because that's the biggest thing holding me back. I seriously can't figure out ANYTHING to eat that keeps with the diet aside from like carrots sticks and....yeah that's it lol. I've read the short list of suggestions that Atomic put in the LE posts but I just don't see how you can plan a diet off of such a list. Like I said before I don't have the time right now to research foods and recipes (it's on my to do list) and I would love some quick help from the experts :prof:
Hi mlane, I've been eating a lot of frozen meals. Are you in the United States? Annies and trader Joe's both carry tons of vegetarian low fat organic frozen meals that are tasty and healthy. Last night I made spinach lasagna rolls from skinny taste. Com. They were so delicious even dh loved them!

On exercise for girl swayers, Atomic says don't or 60 minutes 5-7 times a week unless you have PCOS or insulin issues, then any exercise you can muster is good, but 60 minutes 5-7 times a week is best.
I think the meal I eat most often is salad. lol Iceburg lettuce, half a slice of velveeta cheese torn up, 2 tsp dressing for calories, 6 croutons, cauliflower and occasionally carrot and/or tomato. Ends up roughly 200-250 C and 3 g p, very little fat. White rice and steamed veggies is an easy one too. The diet is way easier to do if you aren't so concerned with the sodium too.
Thanks unwirk. What is the big deal with the sodium anyway besides normal health issues? I see everyone talk about it and have wondered.
Bluebonnet, thanks for the advice. Are you in Texas? I am, and the wild flowers are everywhere right now. My first time seeing them, very beautiful.
Mlane, the sodium has to do with some peoples thinking that high sodium = boy so SOME people monitor their sodium intake whilst swaying. Atomic doesn't believe sodium sways so most people don't worry. It does make the LE harder when also trying to monitor sodium intake. I think there is an essay on it here somewhere??!?!! 😕

Well that took me about an hour to catch up!
Congrats to mumofsix!
Good luck to everyone on their tww!
AFM im waiting for af due in a week then it's go time! My cycles are longer around 35 days so I will be attempting end of the month. When we're on a weekend hol with witn kids ha ha oh well! Im so dead excited, I just hope ive done everything I can.
lyagirl, great timing for your attempt ha! You never know you might ovulate a little earlier or later. Best of luck anyway!
Miane I eat a very boring diet every day as it's easier for me to stick too so I'd be the worst to give tips on diet. At lunch I have white toast and hummus or cream cheese and four or five rice cakes. Then at teatime I have rocket and tomato salad with white rolls or pasta with ww sauce followed by ww yoghurt and meringues. Followed by more rice cakes and sweets and chocolate. Three to four coffees a day and one hot choc. I'm normally so healthy so for the few weeks that are in it I'm doing the complete opposite to my normal diet in the vain hope it gives me a little pink bean!
