Beadin - Uggggghhhh, I am so sorry you had to hear that. I am so not ready to face all the questions and comments. I am trying to stay in regular clothes for as long as possible so I don't have to hear the comments from strangers. Those are the WORST. People have no idea how having all boys makes us feel, and feel free to open their big mouths to comment on it. Makes me crazy! I am going to have to come up with a really good comeback to get them off my back! So, last week you said you wanted to call to get your results. Did you change your mind? :)
AFM - Looked a little more at Microsort...turns out, overall pg rates are only 12-15%, and not particularly recommended for someone who will be my age when I try again. Ugh. Don't think DH will be up for $5000 with only those odds (and I don't think I am either!) But, IVF/PGD is seriously daunting, with all the protocol, and no guarantee of a baby at the end, or how many cycles (and more $) it would take to get there. We *could* do the money, but really we don't have it just set aside for a rainy day, ya know?? While DH is willing, I am beginning to wonder if I am. At least with adoption, there's a guarantee of a baby in the end. BUT, it can actually end up being the most expensive option out there! Sooo...really beginning to ponder another sway. It is obviously SUPER risky, but I may hang around here just to see how the stats play out...and may just roll the dice again. Oh, but I just don't know if I can go through this heartbreak again. The one thing I would ABSOLUTELY change would be intense exercise. Didn't think I could do it, because I was too thin already, but obviously, I o'd just fine at a low BMI and got pg the first time. So, we'll see. An oops pg would also be a decent option, since there would be no obsessing. And of course, my final option is to accept being an all-boy mom and just choose to be happy with my 4 little blessings!
Rainbow my anatomy scan is October but I'm Team Green!!!!! Actually they don't tell gender here, so id have to pay for a gender scan anyway so hey, we will find out February when bubba makes their big debut!

Beadin - HOW RUDE! I am angry for you! I honestly feel like most people are good, though, and really don't try to say hurtful things...they are just not very intelligent or are socially awkward...who asks those questions anyway? That is just weird to me. I am glad the rest of the parents were supportive. Ignore the awkward ones...there is a reason they are that way :)

AFM- So I have really been struggling today with the gender scan coming up. I'm not nervous I'm terrified! I can't imagine how I'm going to get the guts to actually open the envelope with the answer! I need a mantra or a modo or maybe some Valium beforehand! Not really on the meds but you get the point. It's so silly for me to be afraid of a baby and even when I write this down I think I'm silly but here I am afraid for the next day to come because that means the gender scan is coming too! Thanks for letting me rant for a minute!

Soar I had to ask during the scan as I thought I had seen a penis. I also thought I saw a boy nub in the 12 weeks scan so I will not be training as a sonographer any time soon. I felt awful as she was telling us about the baby's healthy organs one by one (which I know is the most important thing) and all I wanted to say was "stop a sec - was that a willy?"
If you guess either way I would suggest finding out asap as you will torture yourself either way. The only way to stay team green, in my opinion, is to get them to tell you when to look away.
Beadin you should listen to onthepond as she sounds much nicer than me! My sister is always looking for the reason for people say and do things too. She would say that that Mum might be feeling overwhelmed and is really in awe of you. She might also think you have such a lovely family that and you are so secure that she didn't think through what she was saying. That would be my lovely sister's take on it. AFM i think she was probably just a thoughtless cow LOL!

Ok so this morning I was at a pool play date with some friends and a woman walks in with 3 boys. The baby boy was adorable and they looked to be about where my 3 will be once this one comes. So I thought I'm going to ask her if she has any advice on 3 boys the do's and don'ts. First she asked what I was having. I said we don't know yet. Then she asked if I was caring the same. I said this one is higher up. Then she was like well there are things you are suppose to do to try for a girl and then another woman chimes in oh yea my friend read all the books on what to do and she got her girl. I couldn't believe it we were openly talking about swaying at a pool play date! All this to say that gender desire is totally 100% normal. Whether anyone admits it or not. I have really been beating myself up about these feelings and here I am discussing it with 2 woman who all have boys! It made me feel a lot better and less like a selfish bratty I want it teenager.
Anyway just wanted to share the good that can come of talking about it. And I feel much better today!
