September TTC Boy Chit Chat and Such Thread

thank you everyone for your imput! i decided to go for it at 1 am this morning so i could lay down all night after. im not too confident about this sway in many ways,if for some reason i get a bfp then im sure it'll be a girl but im not that confident in a positive this month,it was all just a bit strange:think: its such a shame because my 1st attempt 2 months back i was so confident that we'd done as much as we could right and it did work till i got a chemical:tissue: well,hope all you who are in the 2ww are in a better frame of mind than me,:HH:

Oh and I found out at 16 weeks that DD 2 was a girl although most don't like to say then!

Well, he just snaps and goes crazy. At home and at School, attacking other kids and teachers, his brother and sister who are older than him. He uses things as weapons to hurt kids and he enjoys it. We also found out he's been hurting our animals and damaging our rental property. He has now been taking into care by DOCS. We can't have him in our home full time any more, he's just too dangerous. Threatening to kill us, and he runs away too. HE needs one on one care and daily counselling. I couldn't imagine him hurting our baby when it's born out of anger or jealousy. It's sad we had to do that but we couldn't sacrifice 5 peoples happiness and safety for him. No one would help so we took him to the ER and they had him admitted to the mental health unit.

Oh so 16 weeks is still considered a little early huh, damn I might have to wait until 18 weeks!

kris- Im so sorry...but you know he is dangerous for sure! he already hurts ppl and animals ! I wouldn't be so sure he would not hurt the baby! I saw shows on tv about poor kids like him and they did very bad things....hope he get better with help!

I think this means that is very important to lay with hips up as long as possible so you keep all that sperm from flow back and more can swim up so we have a bigger chance for a bfp.

OMG Kris, I think you and Sarah DEFINITELY made the right choice! I am sorry you had to do that, though. He will be better off with more care and counseling, though, so you did the right thing. I hope you all are doing ok!!!!

Yeppers, I'm officially 1dpo today. I am pretty sure I ovulated yesterday, even though I did nothing but opks this month. I can feel it, though. We did dtd last night as well. So, I've got O-3, O-1, and O as my "pattern" this month, but good thing is, that was my pattern for the other months we managed to conceive. I decided to just try the flood with sperm thing. I mean, if he is only getting 2m in each time with a 48 hour cutoff, then 2m went in on O-1 day and hopefully 1m or so went in last night. I don't know, so NOT hopeful. I decided my best strategy for not having a monthly mental breakdown is to assume it won't happen for a year or so, but we must keep trying. Thankfully, I've been working my behonkus off, so been distracted.

Flava, thinking about you, too? How are you feeling?

Kris, my LO was happily showing all his goods @ 16 weeks :)

Well I had my midwife appt and all looks good. I'm measuring a bit big so she's interested to see what the baby measures and if they'll move my due date. She asked how sure I was of my dates and I said positive to 48hrs. Now I'm extra curious :)

Had my doc appt today too; got my 1st glucose screen out of the way so here is hoping it comes back a-ok.

Kris, my DD2 I found out 16 wks.... But I think it really depends, just like at any number of weeks really, on how much the baby cooperates! Let us know what you decide!

My doc offered I could come for my scan at 18 and then just a reg appt at 20, and whole it was tempting I went ahead and did 20, since we aren't finding out.... No real rush. But I'm soooooo curious! I really might break down and schedule a private one next week. And not tell anyone. I just am going to spend some time trying to figure out how I will really feel if I hear girl....

would it make you feel better begonia if you just assumed it was a girl..and continued thru the pregnancy that way..and tried to be happy about it? i know its a lot to ask but i think im may try that (at least in the beginning until i find out)....just thinking out loud...good luck..and i must stress...the surprise was AWESOME!!! but its all you girl!

I measures really big w/ Honor around mid pregnancy but evened out by the end.

Thanks for chiming in Gizmo! I can think of loads of reasons to be happy for another girl (especially is she's healthy!!) and that's part of the reason I feel ok with finding out this time. With dd2 I did have gd but I was certain she was a boy, because the pg was so different! Lol! Like that matters ;) Anyhow as cool as I think the surprise would be I just don't like spending so much of my time thinking about it! I guarantee DH who wants the surprise thinks about it less than once a day, and me?!? It's like all the time!!! I'm tired of thinking about it is part of the reason I just want it known, lol!

When is your attempt? Soon right?

Speaking of soon if Jens scan is on time it should happen in about 5 minutes! Yay!

I thought about that too - having a private scan and not telling anyone. I probably would have if we had somewhere to get one around here.

I hope that you are able to make peace with waiting. It's such a hard thing. I do know I had no GD when I waited and bad GD when we found out... But at the same time it's maddening not knowing. ((hugs))

on another note...need advice. We dtd the deed last night. Got my smiley today at 9am..and i just checked again and I got another one...which is unheard of for me. Usually when I get one about 3 hours later I dont get one! So with that should we dtd again tonight??
