If you have issues with too MUCH clotting, then that's a horse of a different color and you do need to take aspirin every day and thruout the first tri. AT some point for most people, the placenta starts making anti-clotting factors and once your placenta gets big enough, it can handle the job on its own (but it's still best to wean off aspirin slowly for your own heart health). The earlier in pg you are, the smaller the placenta, and the less able it is to make up for it when you stop aspirin/cranberry suddenly.
This is why babies sometimes are given Vit. K when they're born - their blood doesn't clot as easily.

Just to add to what has already been said.... when i was swaying i took baby aspirin everyday and after a week i noticed my gums bleeding a little and bruises on my legs (freaked me out a bit) so i dropped back to one every few days. I believe that unless you have a clotting issue then there is no need to take one daily.
