The only thing HPTs can tell you about are HCG levels...which can be different with every pregnancy. That doesn't mean you don't have a pink bean in there though...good luck!

hi! i know this is a bit old, but I am interested in this as I got a really early and super dark test this time too. The test at the same time with my boys was no where near as dark - this one the line was darker than the control line the day my period was due! Anyway I started to google about it as I began to panic it could mean twins and I came across a number of studies that suggest higher HCG early on can indicate a female fetus. Not holding out too much hope based on this alone, but interesting none the less (and of course got me a teeny little bit excited!).
I got my earliest BFP this pregnancy - 10dpo, with my previous two I have always been about 17-18dpo before I got a positive. Its another boy though!
Ive no idea but i hope its true as i got un mistakable BFP at just 8dpo this time around :-)
true for me.....BFP on cd19, so maybe 7-8 dpo....with my 2 boys it was later
I got a + with my dd at 8dpo.
I got a + with my 3rd ds at 8dpo.
I got a + with this pregnancy, another ds, at 7dpo.
I think it means absolutely nothing.
