Thank you all so much for the ideas.
I am hoping to make a master list with all these ideas and can hopefully post it here to help others as well.
When I conceived my son I gained weight and was eating meat and fast food plus snacking a lot.
Depended on how hungry I was! I had a very physical job outdoors taking care of 50-100 dogs and puppies, and I would often come home starving, esp. in cold weather.
I make a "fakeamole" where I mash a whole avocado with some salsa and I'd eat it with chips if I was very hungry or just by itself if I wasn't as hungry. It is really less food than it sounds like (altho lots of cals!!)
Hi all, im new to this sight an your post caught my eye.
I am a very fussy eater and i too am struggling on this type of diet to try and conceive the little boy that me and my partner would like to complete our family.
The ideas you have given are great and will help me immensely.
I am TTC a son as well. If any of these foods seems like a bad idea for blue please let me know!
Here are my ideas so far:
breakfast:
eggs & whole grain toast
yogurt & nuts
toast & peanut butter
granola bar and peanut butter
always a banana!
lunch:
tuna and whole grain crackers or bread
meatball sub
veggie sub (I work by Subway!)
chef salad
beef & bean burrito w/guac
dinner:
tacos (sans cheese and sour cream)
beef & potatoes (meatloaf and mashed, steak and roasted potatoes, burger and fries, shepard's pie)
tamale pie (beef, beans, tomatoes, cornbread)
enchiladas (basically beef and beans in tortilla and salty enchilada sauce)
sausage, pierogies, sauerkraut
I am also trying to do lots of veggies, salted nuts, chips, raisins, prunes
to drink:
lots of my spiced up V8 (I like to add lemon juice, horseradish, worcestershire like a bloody!)
lemon water, coconut water
