Hi and welcome again, and I am SOO sorry it took so long to get to this thread!
Here are some links that should answer all your questions:
(X do NOT live any longer than Y) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/scie...m-y-sperm.html
(timing does NOT sway) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html
(the spurious history and downsides of O+12) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...ry-o-12-a.html
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...es-o-12-a.html
The reason why the other site advises O+12 is because they think you have to keep pH super low after ovulation and it's easier to keep pH low for a few hours rather than days. But the problem is that pH very likely does not even sway in the way that they claim and it's not even possible to lower the pH up where sperm meets egg by putting things into the vagina and there is a full explanation of that here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ph-pickle.html
diet is key, that's for sure. To put your minds at ease, I designed the LE Diet to be fully in line with the recommendations of reproductive endocrinologists for safe weight loss while TTC. The fat and protein intake is recommended by the World Health Organization as normal healthy intake for women of childbearing age. We take additional folic acid to help prevent birth defects and I urge everyone to get 2500-3500 mg potassium and use iodized salt for their sodium needs. All the nutrients save iodine, potassium, and zinc are either stored in ample supply by the human body OR are present in adequate quantities on the LE Diet. I talked about iodine and potassium above but regarding the zinc, if a woman has gone on swaying more than 3 months I advise an 8-15 mg zinc supp 3x a week and if a woman has just had a miscarriage I also advise an 18 mg iron supp (I like Bifera brand) either daily or every other day depending on how much iron she's getting via diet.
On RepHresh, most of us use it every three days starting at the end of AF to allow our bodies time to get used to it, and then an applicator anywhere between 8 hours - 24 hours before attempt.
I think it's lovely that you want a daughter so badly!
your leanness will help your sway to begin with. Any length of time you spend as a vegetarian will only help.
Licorice root can help and you take that the first 14 days of your wife's cycle and then stop. 450 mg 3x a day (and it tastes HORRIBLE, just to warn you.)
Atomic what does zinc do?
@hopingforsaskia - Thanks for the beautiful sentiment  And I'll post results!
@atomic - Thank you for taking the time and effort to provide thorough and thoughtful replies. You are a great asset to this community!
lol, I just ate the last bite of my pork chop when I read the part "Any length of time you spend as a vegetarian will only help"
I will take your advice to heart and share it with my wife, and I should clarify, it's not that she thinks the diet itself is unhealthy, but thought "less" would mean less nutrients for the baby (... and it probably didn't help that I said she needed to start smoking and drinking diet coke  she, ... at least, now ..., knows that's not part of the diet).
"I think it's lovely that you want a daughter so badly!"
Thank you, it's been kind of hard to admit that I want a daughter so badly. And now, it seems everywhere I look, I see Dad's with their little girls. I almost think I'm a bit jealous, worried that, somehow, there aren't any daughters left
Of course, my wife just smiles and reminds me that's not how it works
