I think you're supposed to stop the sp before you Ov or cd14 (whichever comes first) :) I had a major delay in my Ov too with my first sp cycle.. Will see what happens this time! Cd8 today ..... Come on O day! ;)

Hey wannagirl! Thought I'd just chime in and let you know that atomic suggests in her plans that you don't take sp for longer than 6 weeks before first attempt (2weeks on, 2 weeks off, 2 weeks on). I suppose (correct me if I'm wrong) its not ideal to be on it for ~too much~ of an extended period of time. This way, I guess, if you don't fall month 1, you can keep taking it for another couple of cycles?
As for vitex, its ok to start that sooner rather than later -- they say it takes 3 months to really do its thing in your system, so you can start that pretty much whenever. :)
Okay thanks I'm just a little confused cuz I asked her a couple weeks ago and she said to start it AF-0 before first attempt at least thats what I think she said. But then I read what you said so I'm trying to conceive in April when do you think a good time to start Vitex and then when do I start sp? thx for your help.
I agree with hopingforsaskia. I am pretty sure Atomic recommends starting your supplements 6 weeks before your attempt. So you would start it the first day of your period the month before your attempt. So you would take it from AF-0 then stop a day or so before you ovulate. Then start it again once you get your next period and take it up until a few days before ovulation then attempt to TTC that cycle. Does that make sense?
Vitex - if it were me, I would start that a few months before attempt month - AF-O of January or something, and the SP in the cycle for March - AF-O. (Just like peanut said. :) )
Deleeeeted... Double up! :)
Stop taking the vitex one or two days before Ov. That will probably coincide with your attempt anyway. :)
