DH is up at 5am and the kids not long after so morning would be out for us unless I absolutely have to for O/EWCM reasons (my EWCM only usually lasts a day). I think you should try to use OPK in addition to charting, that way you'll have a bit of warning coming in.

You can get EWCM for up to a week before you O and it can change from month to month. I notice mine often dries up the day before I O, and other months it is heavier the day after I O!?! There's no rhyme or reason to it, and swaying can also make the pattern change by a lot too.

I used the IC one month when TTC, and when I finally took it out, there was semen all around the edge, so I think it actually kept sperm out! I didn't get pg that month.

Hmmm... sounds very unromantic Atomic and I guess there's still a part of me that wants to conceive my baby out of love (and not from DH dumping in a cup...heehee). I don't think getting it close will be a problem as DH is , erm....ahhh...lets just say he can hit the cervix if I'm not careful so might go the old fashioned way (sorry if TMI...haha).
